I'm starting out again on Friday. A bit to lose, my aim is to be where I was 2 years ago. Will be low carbing as I find it works best for me

Anyone else joining?

I will weigh/measure on the first morning

I'm in...I was on the June thread but not overly successful....only 3 lb down but I did have some epic food days so it's hardly surprising.

Weighing in this morning at 10.3.... End game is 9.7 but if I could be 9.12 by the end of July I would be chuffed...I'm a bridesmaid at the end of the month so that's my motivation for staying on track.

I'm 5:2ing with lots of running and yoga.

Junebugjr · 01/07/2016 10:32

I'm in.
Am 10st 5lb, up from 8.5st. 😰 Being only 5ft2, I feel like I look like a round ball. Am doing Harcombe with a bit of 5:2 thrown in to mop up any excesses. I have a gym membership I need to start using as well. And a FitBit.

Rshard · 01/07/2016 11:15

I'm in please. Lost 6lbs on June thread so I was 12,3 at WW weigh in on Wednesday. Aiming for 7lbs which will take me to 11,10 but my first mini goal is into the 11's!

Good luck all

journeyon · 01/07/2016 11:47

Can I join July... June got rid of 7lb, aiming for the same in July. Weigh in days are Fridays, 1st July 10stone 7lb, total lost since April 26th, 17lb (go me), height 5foot 1. So top of bmi is 9stone 7lb. Using mfp and walking min 12k steps a day.

MumOnTheRunCatchingUp · 01/07/2016 11:49

Good luck everyone!

I'm back in work tomorrow..... We have an M&S food hall next door which has been part of my downfall

I've got food prepped to take in instead

Weight 70.3 kg.
starting work in 10 days so aiming to be 69 kg by then.
Hoping to be closer to 66.7kg by the end of this month which will take me to a healthy bmi from my overweight one.

Just finished watching beyond expectations on YouTube and feeling super motivated. Plus I have decided to have a cheat day on the 29th so I am working towards that Grin
It will keep me sane!

My total lost from April is 14.7kg so far.

Good luck all Flowers

chuchiface · 01/07/2016 12:13

I'm in please - I want to lose 1 st 5 but not all in July obviously! I am planning on calorie counting on MFP, walking and running but really want to make better choices nutritionally as I've been eating way too much junk and drinking much much wine....

pseudonymity · 01/07/2016 15:12

Me! I'm at 10st, aiming to lose a stone, or less if I feel good. I have massive - feminine but massive - hips and thighs. I saw a picture of myself standing next to lots of other women, all in bikinis (don't ask), my thighs! I've got another bikini picture of myself at around 9st and my thighs are still large in relation to the rest of me. Those are my proportions and I can't change it but would like to get some more tone into them and slim down. One of the women from the bikini picture referred to me as a Marilyn Monroe figure, so I suppose that's kind of nice in a way but I felt upset about it at the time.

So, beyond all that vanity above, I'm aiming for health and wellness. I can't do low carb, don't know if I believe it's healthy, but I'm aiming for 1370 on MFP. I also do yoga, Jillian Michaels, more yoga. Might throw in a bit of running and try to walk more.

MumOnTheRunCatchingUp · 01/07/2016 16:06

I can't wait to get back to my running

I miss it. But will wait a while yet

Signing up for Peterborough half marathon (Perkins great eastern run) in October, that's my ultimate aim

OP posts:
Helloheyhi · 01/07/2016 18:24

That's an achievable goal mum

10k steps done with a combination of walk and run.
Food wise it will be bitter gourd and chicken curry and pita bread for dinner.

Hope everyone had a good day!

Helloheyhi · 01/07/2016 18:26

I have a terrible salt habit so trying to take this opportunity to reduce my salt intake as well. I am also pre diabetic so have to watch my carbs intake. Damn gestational diabetes arrrrghhh

MumOnTheRunCatchingUp · 02/07/2016 08:11

Just s coffee so far! Off to work where I'll barely have s chance for lunch. Taking egg mayo with celery sticks! And water

Currently have a BMi of 44. Needs to be below 40.

Groovee · 02/07/2016 08:34

Today will be harder as meeting friends for a spa day. Then I haven't organised tea. It's just me dh and Ds as Dd is working.

Groovee · 03/07/2016 13:53

Yesterday went well food wise!

Have menu planned for the week ahead. We go on holiday on Friday but my mum is on board and wants us to help my dad so may need some diabetes diet advice for my dad.

Dolph · 03/07/2016 16:37

This is some simple diabetes (and general weight loss) advice from this article.

  1. Decrease simple sugars.
  1. Eat unprocessed / real food. (meat, fish, veg) - nothing that comes in a packet / plastic bag.
  1. Supplement with:
A high-quality multivitamin and mineral One to two grams of omega 3 fatty acids (preferably from Krill Oil) 1,000 – 2,000 IUs of vitamin D3 300 – 600 mg of alpha lipoic acid twice daily 200 – 600 mcg of chromium polynicotinate
  1. Do HIIT training.
  1. Sleep at least 6.5 hours per day in a cool and very dark room.
  1. Read / laugh / meditate / eat with good friends family to lower stress.
  1. Keep accountable with help from family / friends or negative stimuli (volunteer for something bad to happen if you fail / remind yourself of negative consequence). Humans generally work harder to avoid negatives than strive for positives.

Hope this helps.

Dolph · 03/07/2016 16:43

Oh and I get no commission or anything like that from any of the links above. Those are just examples. I have researched this and those are the supps I use / have used.

MegBusset · 03/07/2016 18:26

Hope everyone's off to a good start! I have had a food- and booze-filled weekend (it was lots of fun :)) and have my period so am going to estimate I will be around 9st 5 or 6lb when I weigh in tomorrow morning.

MumOnTheRunCatchingUp · 03/07/2016 19:33

I've had a good weekend too

Worked the whole thing!! Clocked up 17,000 steps each day on Apple app. Equivalent of just over 12k!!!

Had roast beef slices for breakfast, plain cold roast chicken for lunch, Philadelphia and celery as a snack

Got eggs and mushrooms for dinner with a bit of leftover bacon. I'm low carbing if you're wondering at my odd menu!

I need to buy double cream to slosh in my coffee

Superjaggy · 03/07/2016 19:51

Hello,
Can I join you from tomorrow morning? I'm the heaviest I've ever been outside of pregnancies and would love to work towards losing a stone in the school holidays...
I'm planning a week of the "chemical diet" which is given to people who need to lose weight quickly, then will use MFP and try to cut out lots of sugar.
Swapping Prosecco for gin and tonic, so that's a good start, isn't it?? And I regularly do 10k steps on my Fitbit, so I feel a bit better for that too.
I see some of you are off to a flying start already, so well done for that!

MumOnTheRunCatchingUp · 03/07/2016 20:22

Welcome super

A colleague is in danger of scuppering my plans... It will be a test.... EID is soon and though I'm non Muslim, my Muslim colleagues and neighbour always bring me food in celebration! How will I refuse pakora?

OP posts:
Groovee · 03/07/2016 21:16

Thanks Dolph. Will read through that later.

Struggling to make 1200 Cals today.

Heading to bed. Using the pacer app for my steps.

My MFP id is grooveecar if anyone would like to add me x

MegBusset · 04/07/2016 07:50

Morning all. 9st 5.5lb this morning. Planning a light food week, today will look like this :

Soya porridge
Bean salad
Apple
Pesto pasta (with lots of veg and not much pasta), no garlic bread or wine. Avoiding the wine is the hardest part, let's see if I can do it!

Helloheyhi · 04/07/2016 09:30

Morning all
A good weekend here as well with lots of walking and eating in moderation. My issue is portion control arrrgghh
Weight is 69.9 kg.

Have a good start to the week everyone. Back to work next Monday for me!

MumOnTheRunCatchingUp · 04/07/2016 14:17

Been busy busy at work, this is first chance I've had to grab anything to eat..... Cucumber and salami with a coffee.

Didn't have time to weigh this morning but will do tomorrow. Off work tomorrow and ds school closed, so I promised him after a few chores we will go to Burger King. Another challenge!
