I'm interested to compare really. I'm not huge at 9.5st but would be happier at 9st.

Anyone else around that weight trying to lose half a stone?

It's really interesting how different everyone is.

I'm 5' 6" and currently weigh about 10st 12, and wear size 12-14 clothes, and BMI is just within the healthy range. I'd like to shift half a stone really, and be a proper size 12. The lightest I've ever been as an adult was 9st 10, and I was a size 10, but to stay that size I couldn't eat much so it didn't last long Grin

I'm a shocking 17st with a height of 5.6.

I've lost weight with sw 3 times

1- got to 12 stone from 14St 7lb took me about 2 years.
2 - got to 12 stone from 16St 1lb took me 14 months.
3- got to 14St 7lb from 17st 2lb took me 3 years.

Recently been diagnosed with PCOS. The changes at slimming world I now find it hard to loose weight due to all the carbs. I would like to be able to continue with the old Red/green day but they don't even acknowledge it now, as they have the SP diet.

Thinking of having a look at what's good/bad for PCOS sufferers and incorporating that into red day slimming world & doing my own thing.

In my head, my 'normal' weight is 10 stone. That's what I always was in my 20s, seemingly no matter what I ate!

By age 30 my weight had crept up to 10 stone 7, I decided to do something about it, and calorie counted my way down to 9 stone 2. Felt pretty good at that weight, but it gradually all got put back on again over the years when I stopped calorie counting. Now am trying to take it off again!

I guess all in all I'm saying I'd be very happy if I could just be 10 stone always, but the problem is that that weight is only going to keep on becoming less easily achievable as I get older!

I'm 5ft 5.

Has anyone had their body fat % measured rather than weight on the scales? And I mean by calliper pinch not standing on scales as they don't accurately measure body fat. This is way way more important than weight.

I'm muscly and strong, 9st 13lb 28% body fat. Size 10 top & bottom.

5 ft 6

At 176lbs my body fat was 36%, clothes size should really have been in a 16.
At 152lbs my body fat is 27.5% I'm still losing but mostly in 12s and think I'll prob be a 10 in next as the 12s are getting big.
According to my body fat scales.

When I was 27 and weighed 8st 12lbs my body fat by calliper was 13%. I was doing weights a lot (split body routine) but also waterskiing and scuba diving (lived abroad). Last time I had my body fat measured I was around 35 and about 9st 8lbs and my body fat was 22%. When I was under 9st my periods were on a 56/58 day menstrual cycle, I gained weight & cut back on exercise each time I wanted to conceive. I'd like to be measured again now but my current gym is more recreational than those I went to in the past.

I am 5,5! But I weigh 9 stone 10, aim is 9 stone 2 which is achievable.

I'm 5'5 and have dropped from 13.7 to 11.3 so far this year (size 18 to 14). Comfortable size 14, but it feels very thin on me as I haven't been this size in 17 years!! I must look comparatively thin to others as well (despite an overweight BMI) as several friends have asked DH if I'm 'alright' Confused

This thread makes me feel positively rotund!!

I'm between 5'6 and 5'7, and currently weigh 11st 6lb. I've lost three stone in the last year or so, and want to get down to 10st, which would put me pretty much in the middle of the healthy BMI. It's nice getting into some of my old clothes!

I'm 60, 5'6" and at this moment 9st 9lb. I've lost a stone at Weightwatchers but it's taken since January. I used to lose it 2lb a week with little real effort before and I really hate this new Smartpoints thing.

People keep telling me to stop now before my face goes gaunt and haggard but I've still got a massive flobbly belly. If only I could afford lipo.

PS I'm between an M&S size 12 and 14. This seems quite big compared with how others on here are.

I think it must make such a difference that muscle weighs more than fat as we are all happy at such different weights! I'm large of nork and thigh, but 9 stone makes me look a bit gaunt in my face probably in comparison to the large bits Blush and the poor boobs look a bit floppier. ( such an attractive picture) 11 stone looks a bit cuddly but 10 is spot on for me and looks healthy I'm told... After a few tough months (CakeWine) I'm exercising my way back to 10 stone so I don't have to buy new trousers...

Oh bum I knew I shouldn't have opened this thread... I am fit and working with a personal trainer, I'm just really fucking heavy. I know the number shouldn't bother me, but it bloody does! People on this thread saying they weigh less than me but wear a bigger size... There is just no rhyme or reason! Oh well at least I feel good about myself in general :)

I would like to be below 9st4, which has been my weight throughout nearly all of my adult life (not counting two pregnancies, of course).

I'm 5'6 and I weigh 14st 5lbs.

Last year I went on an elimination diet to sort out my gastro problems and after cutting out gluten and dairy, dropped to 11stone. I looked just right at this weight, if a little underweight. I have long legs so I tend to look a bit - gangly, lol!
Then I started HRT to try to control my mood and ended up at this weight. It's almost like a different sort of fat too, almost permament water retention?! Anyway I've come back off the HRT and will use natural methods instead for any menopausal symptoms as being this heavy makes my unhappy. I'm expecting it to come off gradually but if I need to kickstart the loss a little I will go back onto a low carb diet.
I think I'd like to be around 11.5 - I look trim but still curvy at that weight.

Oops forgot dress size. I'm an 18 on top and usually a 16 on the bottom.

At 11 stone I was a size 14.

Cannot even begin to imagine being 9 stone! I'm sure I would look rather ill.

I look best around 9st 9. Much less or more and it all goes a bit wrong. Wish I was 9st 9 at the minute!

Report
Thefitfatty · 23/05/2016 19:15

Benidickcyminsnatch I know what you mean! I'm easily one of the heaviest on the thread but quite comfortably wear a size 12. I'm toned and fairly trim, my only "problem" area is my stomach now because of diastasis recti. I can go from a flat tum to looking 6 months pregnant by the end of the day! And it adds a couple of inches to my waist :(
Muscle really does make a difference. If I were 10 stone I'd be a size 8 easy!

Report
jaykay34 · 23/05/2016 19:18

I usually weigh somewhere between 9 and 9 1/2 stone, and I'm happy with that.

When I was in my twenties I weighed 8 1/2 but I just look too skinny if I weigh that now.

I do a lot of running so am quite small framed and probably weigh more than what I look. I'm a size 8.

8st 13. Prefer to be around 8st 7 - 10. just as I find if I go over 9 stone my weight wants to shoot up again very easily. I was 10st 5 a few years ago and lost 2 stone but 8st 5 wasn't quite sustainable.

9st 3lb. Would quite like to be 9 stone but not sure it will happen. I seem to be losing inches rather than weight now which works for me.

Am 46 with 5 children so my tummy is a bit of a state but I'm working on it. And I have amazing legs :)

5'7 and currently 9st 6, which feels too big to me, altho am still size 8-10 depending on the shop. Ideal weight wd be 8st 12, although was under 8st in my 20s, due to walking everywhere and buying more wine than food... Now 45, two dcs later, sedentary job and commuting by car I seem to carrying a permanent extra half stone.
