My lunch is (and is same every work day) a big tub os salad - leaves, tomatoes, cucumber, onions, 10 olives, handful of sweetcorn, yellow and orange peppers.

coddycodcod · 19/05/2004 13:37

cottage chees or trout surely? and no flat bread

too much

eggs are 1 point each - seems a huge breakfast!

I think you need to reduce your portion sizes

bundle · 19/05/2004 13:39

I have a piece of smoked mackerel (omega 3's )which I'm going to team up with a baked potato and lots of salad.

gingerbear · 19/05/2004 13:40

Hula, you must be my conscience on Friday at Zoobys

coddycodcod · 19/05/2004 13:40

Do you count out 10 olives every day hula or just grab a handful and guess?

bundle · 19/05/2004 13:42

becca!

Sonnet · 19/05/2004 13:42

i'm getting behind here this thread is moving so fast:

My lunch ideas:
tuna and salad
Hard Boiled Egg and Salad
crispbrads/ricecakes, philly or humus and salad
Roll Mop Herrings and salad
Ham and salad

Supper: this one hard as tonight on the menu is homemade lasagne, small baked potato and salad - far too much carbs, never mind the cheese - how about I have baked pot and salad tonight?

On going, coz of Family, I'll probably have Salad or veg ( a lot of), grilled lean meat or fish OR if all else fails like tonight I'll have baked pot and salad
What do you think Coddy?

Hulababy · 19/05/2004 13:42

Ooh, idea for a very low in points pasta sauce here. I am having it tonight. Can add more herbs/spices/etc. to taste:

roasted vegetables - such as courgette, peppers, red onion, baby corn, mushrooms, cherry tomatoes etc. Add some garlic. Sprinkle with fesh or dried herbs, and some ground pepper. Spray before roasting with a spray oil (no points). Roast for about 30 minutes max. depending on chunkiness.

Put in pan and add tin of chopped tomatoes. Add a few finely chopped olives. Stir

I have added a small tin of tuna to tonight's sauce, but could have on its own (then no points at all!!!), with prawns, mince (slightly more points than other options), quorn, etc.

Heat when required, and stir in with pasta.

Quick and easy. Can be done in advance and reheated later if required too. I did mine last night.

coddycodcod · 19/05/2004 13:44

yes lunches great - too much supper - g do you normally eat spuds and pasta together?

OP posts:
Hulababy · 19/05/2004 13:44

I actually do count them most times!!! How sad I know but convinced that just one extra will be enough for me too go over points again. LOL!!!

coddycodcod · 19/05/2004 13:44

all roasted veg or ratattouille or my mushroom thing from yeterday ar e great

Hulababy · 19/05/2004 13:45

gingerbear - I can'r resist Zoobys's sandwiches sorry, not much use! I always go for the roll with humous and roasted veg.

Hulababy · 19/05/2004 13:46

coddy - according to my book a medium egg is actually 1.5 points

Kittypickle · 19/05/2004 13:47

Look at the WW site, go to the community recipe swap and search for risotto, there are a few lower point ones there.

Hulababy · 19/05/2004 13:47

My breakfast is always just half a grapefruit (or an aple this morning as I had run out - only 0.5 points. I don't really do breakfast - too early for my taste buds. Prefer to save points for a glass of wine in the evening! 3.5 points for half a bottle

Sonnet · 19/05/2004 14:01

Not always Coddy but has been known.
Right so Bfast, lunch and supper sussed

What about exercise?

Do we have to drink lots of water

Are we reporting in every day?

magnum · 19/05/2004 14:10

Need to lose a stone at leat. am 5ft4in and 10st 5lb (on a good day). One thing I can't recommend enough is water. Over the last couple of weeks I have been drinking about 6 pints a day and my wrinkles have near enough vanished. Even my dh noticed. I also had really dry skin on the tops of my arms which has gone. It hasn't made me lose any weight tho

Hulababy · 19/05/2004 14:12

Forgot to add my details. I lost just over a stone between January and March with the Mumsnet Slimmers thingy. Had a few weeks off over Easter and April and put on about 3 or 4 pounds. Restarted dieting again 2 (or is it 3) weeks ago an now lost that weight and hopign to lose another half stone by my holiday in August - I will wear that bikini!!!

Sonnet · 19/05/2004 14:14

Hi Magnum,
I've got v.dry skin on tops of arms and all over my legs...so thanks for the water tip.
How long did it take for you to notice the difference - like instant results me!!

magnum · 19/05/2004 14:15

Has anyone tried the WW wine yet? I spotted it for sale in Asda but wasn't sure if it would taste ok.

bundle · 19/05/2004 14:15

I don't know how much I weigh, and really don't want to, for me this is more about how I look, how clothes feel (sorry coddy )

Hulababy · 19/05/2004 14:16

Is the Ww wine really that much lower in points? I haven't tried it. Like my 'proper' wine too much and wine isn't that bad points wise anyway - only 1 point per 100ml. It is things like beer abd cider that are the real killers!
