Aww SFB you're making me so broody right now!

I seem to have caught the thread cold, been feeling horrific the last couple of days. I've been trying desperately to not use it as an excuse to binge!

Stellar67 · 29/01/2016 20:58

Aww my youngest is four and I baby him sometimes. It's so nice.

Have a fab night out brains and you will look amazing! Just don't go near the baby when you** are ready! Wink

Pippi I want an outdoor pool! Even though it's gale force and about to snow.

I'm just back from yoga. Crazy teacher. She gets you into moves I thought impossible, but her limber up techniques are outstanding.

I'm going to eat pasta and drink wine now. It's is Friday SmileWineCheers ladies.

Dyrne Feel better soon. It's a bad time for the snotters. I'm avoiding most people right now (and secretly enjoying that!).

OP posts:
pippistrelle · 29/01/2016 21:35

Is it just me or does this winter seem particularly bad for coughy and sneezy diseases? And they seem to cling on a long time too. Hope you're feeling better soon, Dyrne.

And yes, Brains, you made me broody with that post too. But even my big junior rock chick 11 year old still needs babying sometimes, so I'm not obsolete just yet.

We have no roof at the moment, and the wind is whistling round the rafters and its tarpaulin covering in an very alarming way. And from your mention of snow, Stellar, I'm assuming you're in a northerly location where I know the wind today is more horrendous. Enjoy your pasta and wine.

I usually avoid carbs but I had bread earlier today and some rice this evening, and I'm feeling a bit solid as a result. I fear tomorrow's weight monitoring thing won't like it. Ah well, it'll even itself out in a couple of days.

Thanks guys. Main snottiness seems to have gine, now just left with a general 'bleugh' feeling. DP is making concerned noises about how he doesn't think i'm eating enough... Erm, that's the whole point of a diet!!! Might get some multivitamins though to see if that helps with the tiredness.

Even with feeling shite i've still managed to lose the most out of any week so far this month - hopefully i'll keep this up and carry on losing 1kg a week, was getting very annoyed at how slow things had been going!

Pippi that sounds rubbish, i'd hate to be without a roof this time of year I've been cranking the heating up when DP isnt here I know what you mean about carbs tending to 'sit' in your stomach more now.

SFB - LTB Wink I have no sympathy for man flu despite moaning about my own sniffles to anyone that will listen At least there's less calories?

Hope everyone is feeling better. I'm still battening down the hatches here. It's meant to get up to 80mph tonight and we are on the hill, facing the elements. I keep the curtains closed.

Managing to fill half my plate with salad and made a lovely potato and leek soup today with no fattening bits in. (Veg stock cube, 0% creme fraiche) Heinous behaviour.

Im so tired though. I keep waking up thinking I'm in Kansas.

Ooh yay for a new car!! Be as smug as you like, SFB, it's so exciting - I loved getting my new car 6 years ago

I hope you survive the night, Stellar, good work having healthy soup and salad in the face of the gales!

Still feeling rubbish today; managed to drag myself into work though. Was all ready to have a moan at DP when he rang but he's managed to completely trump me on the pitiful stakes - day 3 of his skiing holiday and he's managed to completely do his knee in! Serves him right for going on holiday without me

Ooh a c-max? What's it like? We are due to change my car, if we can afford, and I've been looking at a c-max. My priorities are a big boot and dark inside to disguise the dirt.

Oh, regarding diets, I'm hoping to be 2lbs off. I don't want to get my hopes up but fingers crossed and tums in everyone! Will report back later!

Ooh exciting! Sounds fab!

2lbs off! Hooray! I've been eating a lot of salad. It's paying off.

Still a long long way off what I want to be. But it's moving and I am pleased.

OP posts:
Dyrne · 02/02/2016 20:13

Great work on the loss, Stellar, 2lbs is awesome!

SFB - sucks about the 1lb gain, fingers crossed that'll come off easily though. I've got serious new car envy Grin

Day 2 of 500 kcals, feeling very smug I managed to resist the copious amounts of cake on offer at work today.

Stellar67 · 02/02/2016 21:20

Thanks Dyrne. Well done re the cake.

I'm so jealous of brains. That's the pizza. I'd be 1 stone up!

I start my new meds tomorrow. Feeling a bit antsy. Been told already I will probably gain weight. It's a four month trial. Let's show them!

Well it helped that the cakes were in packets proclaiming their calorie content - 105kcals for a teeny tiny cupcake, and I know I wouldnt have stopped at one!

Stellar just take it one day at a time with the meds and see how you get on, i'm sure once things balance out you'll be able to get your weight back under control if needed. Worst case scenario - you can blame everything on the meds - no one needs to know that you were chubby before going on them! Wink

SFB I feel your pain regarding parking - I used to live in a city and could parallel park like a pro, but now after 3 years of living in the suburbs with a driveway i've completely lost the skill!! Currently driving a little hatchback but whenever I have to drive a van with work I live in fear! Good call on the parking lesson - I hadnt realised you could even do that!

Have you got sensors brains? I have sensors. They are not to be relied on but they are a little reminder.
I don't get to parallel park often but when I do I get the shudders, then realise I can and get all chuffed up. I used to do it a lot. I agree though, it's more about the cocking grip than anything else.
