Hello fellow fat bloaters . Congrats on the 3lbs off Champs, that's fabulous .
I've been sooo good today, I went for an hour long walk with my friend (we do this at least twice a week), and this time we really increased the amount of time that we spent power walking. We're both feeling much fitter all of a sudden. I'm still not losing the weight off my tummy though , the waistband on my trousers is only very slightly looser. I couldn't work out why all my trousers had suddenly got longer until I realise that all my weightloss has come off my bum and hips so my trousers are now falling straight from my waist without having to do a big detour round my bum and so they seem longer . For a short while I was afraid my legs were actually getting shorter.
Yes, the squash was in my curry Moniker. I used butternut squash, but I think they're all the same in terms of cooking time. I cut it into fairly large chunks, took the rind off and added it into the curry at the same time as the carrots (also cut into large chunks). It wasn't a pointless curry Champs because I used Patak's Korma Paste which has points, and also a handful of red lentils, but it was fairly low in points (considering I ate until I was about to pop).
I like Oats so simple Moniker, usually for breakfast rather than a snack, but only the original one, and I have to have a small teaspoon of brown sugar with it. I find the flavoured ones taste artificial and synthetic. Oats are very good for your blood sugar levels because they release energy slowly. I think that's why my blueberry muffins don't trigger cravings either because they are made with wholemeal flour and oatmeal. I find that if I have a very large lunch, a big wholemeal bap with some protein (tuna, chicken, egg), that fruit is enough to see me through to dinner now that the chocolate cravings have worn off. But I also really like Ryvita (dark rye only), and I will often have a couple of them with about 10g of houmous, or a little low fat Philidelphia if I'm peckish. I also really like celery and raw carrot, dipped in a teaspoon of houmous mixed with half a pot of natural yogurt, or with Philidelphia spread on them. Or apple juice diluted with water is pretty good, although it is still a bit too sweet. I particularly love cottage cheese, especially with prawns, sometimes on it's own with a spoon or with Ryvita, carrot or celery (are you noticing a theme yet?). And low sugar fruit yogurt is great, like Waitrose extremely fruity low fat yogurt. I tend to steer clear of the very low fat yogurts since they put extra sugar in to ad flavour, or sometime artificial sweetner which I hate. I'm also getting into adding fresh fruit to natural yogurt, very ripe blueberries are nicely sweet if you mush them a little before adding to the yogurt it turns the yogurt nice and blue too.
Wow Glitterfairy, you are some sort of superwoman. You are so organised, if I had to do all that travelling for my job I would consider myself lucky if I managed to get myself and my luggage to all the places on time without getting lost, never mind leaving food for the family. (Mind you anyone who has ever relied on me to feed them for any length of time has learnt to forage pretty quickly )
Is this the record for the longest post on this thread? Good luck with your weigh-in tomorrow Moniker, I'll let you know the results of my weigh-in tomorrow too.
