I keep seeing before and after shots after his 90 day programme and they are fantastic...anyone done it and what basically is it in a nutshell?

Build Up Bagel. It's one of the recipes

GallopingFoxley · 06/08/2015 12:23

And yes lots of negativity but I note that it's mainly from women who were gym going size 10s in the first place. Of course they're not going to see the same sort of results as say, a size 16 woman who weighs 13 and a half stone .

I'm 5 FT 3 and a good size 12. I am not toned and have only a moderate fitness level. In four days I'm already seeing results ShockShock

Hi,
Both my husband and I are looking to loose weight, get fitter and get better eating habits. I like the look of this plan and have read through your comments. 1 concern I have is that my hubby can't eat eggs and I've noticed from others comments that you eat a lot of eggs. Can the plan be done without eating eggs?
Thanks

gotredonyou · 06/08/2015 14:25

Hi Ema247 It can be done without eating eggs but he would be limited in the recipes he could eat. I would mention it in his pre starting questionnaire and his coach could provide him with alternative recipes.

Can he not eat eggs because of an allergy or does he simply not like them? I only ask because before the plan I didn't really like eggs but I tried a few different omelette recipes and now I do !

Signed up to this - just reading through my plan and trying to do food prep! OH took the kids out this afternoon so I could prep/cook and freeze for this week - but I fell asleep sitting up reading the recipes lol! (DD kept me up last night).

Wanted to start tomorrow but I think Tuesday will be better as still feel unprepared.

Do any of you use the suggested protein powder and supplement brands? I really struggled to choose a flavour and went with natural strawberry and berry blast for the BCAA. Anyone had any flavours that were gross?

Samanthacoll1987 · 09/08/2015 21:15

Hi,

I am really tempted to give this a try as I haven't managed to shift my baby weight plus more I gained afterwards. However I'm concerned about the cost of the plan, has anybody got a monthly breakdown of how much it all costs? Thank you for reading and replying x

KatieKatie1980 · 10/08/2015 19:18

I think I'm paying £48 or £49 p/m for 3 months. Have received a 99 page report tailored to me with everything I need to take/eat/do. Also access to a coach online. I've had quite a few questions so far and he's always replied very quickly.

Starting tomorrow!

kirinm · 11/08/2015 12:30

I'm really enjoying the plan so far C1D10. I think if you're used to cooking from scratch the plan is easy to follow. Research the food a bit because there are an awful lot of people on the Facebook group who do nothing but moan about the type / quantity of food the plan includes. It's driving me mad - I've left one group because of it!

EleanorAbernathy · 14/08/2015 12:57

Hi all, I keep looking at this programme and have been very tempted to sign up.

As a gym-going size 10 though I'm a bit concerned reading about the negativity! I'm not really looking to lose weight, more maintain the size I am in a healthy way (don't want to gain any!)
I exercise regularly, and have lost just over a stone in the past year by eating low carb, roughly 1200-1500 calories per day. I think I have a fairly low metabolism and like the idea of having something more tailored to me and my body. I also quite fancy the idea of being told what to eat as I have a habit of grabbing whatever's convenient or just having the same thing every day as I know it works, and getting bored.

Could this work for me?

BlingBubbles · 14/08/2015 14:38

Ealnor, this would work really well for you. The ladies who have done the plan and havent had much fat to loose end up looking great. They get super toned! I would say it will work for you - however - you will need to realise you are going to eat ALOT - way more that 1200 calories a day - and you need to trust the plan.

There are a couple of facebook support group sites, if you arent a member then join up as you will be able to see some of the transformations as the people post them on there.

Howhardcanitbe · 30/08/2015 13:03

I'm starting this next week - I'm just in the process of looking through the recipes and planning my weekly food. I'm away with work for the first half of the week, so I can't get started until Thursday, but I think I'll need until then to get organised and plan my food, shopping etc.

Lots of nice looking recipes but it's going to be a big change to my usual diet, and LOTS of food preparation involved. I'm hoping to get a few things cooked up next weekend and freeze them so they're ready when I need them.

Feeling positive Smile

discountamazingamy · 01/09/2015 18:59

I have been following Joe on Instagram and I'm very impressed with the testimonies but there is no way I will spend that amount of money on a diet plan. I think it can but done without paying the money as most of his recipes are online on his Instagram and the HIIT workouts are on youtube. A lot of people post the weekly mealplan online on Instagram and from what I have seen, rest days are low carb high protein days and workout days are high fat, high protein days. Carbs are from basmati rice /wholemeal wrap/wholemeal bagel. He also recommends Fish oil/Omega 3 capsules and /1000mg of Vitamin d everyday and on workout days whey protein and BCAA's.

EleanorAbernathy · 15/09/2015 01:27

I joined the Facebook groups as recommended upthread, and everyone's pictures of lovely food lured me in so I signed up and am now nearly 2 weeks into the plan - I'm really enjoying it!

I know you're not meant to stand on the scales but I couldn't resist, and last week I had already lost a pound despite eating more than ever (I actually struggle to fit all the food in) and exercising less.

Favourite meals so far are Cashew Curry, Turkey Muffins and Protein Pancakes! Oh, and not forgetting the turkey burgers with sweet potato wedges Grin

Hopefully this will finally get me out of the rut of overtraining and undereating I've been stuck in for years.

BlingBubbles · 15/09/2015 21:19

Discount - the recipes might be online and on IG but you wont know the amounts for each recipe, so yes make a chicken stirfry but how much chicken to use -you wouldnt know. Everyone has different amounts depending on their macronutrient split and not everyone has the same recipes. The recipes on Joes IG arent on the plan at all.

The carbs you posted are just some of the ones used there are a lot more.

I dont really think the plan is that expensive, 50 a month and its a complete lifestyle change.

Eleanor, good luck!!! It takes a while to get use to all the food, but trust the plan it works.

I'm now on cycle 2 (about 38 days in). My results have been patchy. I started well although found the hiit training tricky as I have a long term hip injury so I'm not very stable with all the fast impact work. Anyway I lost a few kilos to start with but annoyingly I then got flu and quickly fell out of the training and eating plan. I'm working my way back but am now lacking a bit of motivation. I think it's hard if you get distracted by illness or busy life takes over. Two things I've found. 1. Normally I eat chicken and fish a couple of times a week but otherwise a lot of veggie food. On the non veggie programme I'm eating meat at least once a day and more red meat than ever and my digestive system is not liking it. However with little or no carbs the meat fills you up but I wouldn't want to keep it up longterm. I'll swap to the veggie version in cycle 3. 2. Alcohol. It's pretty much a no no. Might sound obvious but it's coming up to Christmas and I am no saint so I may have to start this again in the new year as if you have more than a couple of drinks a week it's just not going to work (at least I notice that it doesn't for me). Like most things it will work if you're absolutely committed. I have not found this as easy as some seem to though and won't be rushing to post my before and after shots.

swooosh · 24/11/2015 06:29

If you prefer to not eat so regimentally then there's another (cheaper) plan where you get given 'macros' to calculate and can essentially use them how you wish with no specific diet to follow. There's been fantastic results. A lot of people from body coach have gone on to do this plan or left BC half way through to do it. I've done it myself and its changed the way I think about food completely for the better. The training is much the same as BC I believe with weights and HIIT sessions. It's the LDN Muscle bikini guide. Just an alternative for anyone thinking about the plan but wary about the huge cost of BC!

Howcardcanitbe · 25/11/2015 20:08

Hi, I tried the Body Coach but didn't even make it through Cycle 1Blush Well done woman. Like you I really struggled with all the meat and wasn't enjoying the recipes at all, which made it all seem like a massive battle.

It did prompt me to look around for another similar weight loss plan though, with online support and a diet and exercise plan produced for me. I had much more success with a different one - it was more 'normal' food, and it was individually tailored to me with foods I liked etc so was much more doable! I've lost a stone and it's really sorted out my bad eating habits. Might be worth shopping around and making sure the plan you choose is suited to you.

Emily437 · 08/02/2016 10:54

On cycle 2 what is a typical day/week?
Do you do HIIT and weights? Duration?
Sounds like a lot of carbs if needed 3 times a day. Do you have snacks as well?
Thanks.

Puggirl007 · 10/02/2016 20:18

Howcardcanitbe are you able to eat which alternative plan you found? I have been put off the lean in 15 plan due to all the meal prep involved. I know any plan takes commitment and work but I don't think I would stick to it if I had to spend hours prepping every week Smile

Puggirl007 · 10/02/2016 20:25

Say not eat X

Charlorick · 11/02/2016 15:27

Did you struggle with the recipes on cycle 2? I have just received mine and wonder what to have for breakfast! Any tips please?

Charlorick · 11/02/2016 15:30

Any tips for breakfast on cycle 2? I don't know if I am reading it right but every meal has to be one off the list including greens - for breakfast!!

MrsWarris · 11/02/2016 18:13

Hey, I've just started a new conversation about body coach without seeing this one. Have any of you guys compared plans? I've just coughed up for the plan, and my husband said he will do it with me, but I was wondering if I could use my plan, for him, but with maybe slightly bigger portions...what do you think?

Selenaisabumface · 15/02/2016 17:35

just started this. Plan came today. will be watching how everyone else is doing. I came on here coz fb group is depressing!

seefeld · 20/02/2016 13:00

I've just received my plan and I'm getting a shopping list together for my weekly menu. The plan will start tomorrow! I'm excited - really need to tackle the weight creep and the pics I sent in horrified me. Plus I've got a holiday booked at the beginning of June to motivate me.

I'm not too daunted about all the cooking as I'm planning on getting my partner to eat the same stuff as me but bigger portions. And I think I can possibly adapt what I'm making for my toddler too. Especially breakfasts as he loves eggs. I don't normally snack so not sure about having two snacks a day but I guess I've got to trust the plan otherwise there's no point doing it.

How is everyone else getting on?
