Here we go again!

Ok it's the magic thread where we find inspiration, motivation and actually see the results we want and manage to hold on to them once we get them.

No more excuses (unless they are hilarious or necessary).

Welcome all!

Really like both those dresses. The 2nd you could probably dress up more? Heels, clutch and wrap. Also could be very flattering.

I think I might have to do 5 days of exante to get in the 10's and that might spur me on....

BeyondTheSea · 15/04/2015 21:07

I love the Somerset one though too.

My job is just unbearably sad sometimes. I try not to think too hard about the sadness but did have a little cry today :(

Greenrabbit · 15/04/2015 21:16

Yes I think the second would be much more suitable. I've been living in a 1970s bungalow for too long. DH would think I'd gone slightly mad in the first!

I think you're right about getting into the 10's. It always feels great when you drop down into a new number. I was really excited to get into the 13 stone bracket and felt slimmer. But I've spent so much time messing about between 13.7 and 14 stone. I feel huge again ( I know I wasn't thin when I first reached that weight and that I am still huge) so I need the novelty of being in the 12 stone bracket.

My SIL is starting a crazy diet this week. I'll find out what it's called if she has any success, it promises 7-10lb in 10 days.

I think I'll order that dress or go to try it on. I've only just spotted it tonight. Would pink accessories look nice with it? What colour shoes?

This is what I really want. It's my perfect style, unfortunately no large sizes.

Greenrabbit · 15/04/2015 21:17

Aww are you feeling any better now? Can I ask what job you do?

Greenrabbit · 15/04/2015 21:20

The coast dress is lovely too. Probably too formal though. The reception is in a marquee and I think it will have a more laid back feel?
It's been so long since I had to dress up I have no idea what fits me anymore.

BeyondTheSea · 15/04/2015 21:22

Pink would be lovely.

Also maybe green?

That dress is lovely. This bode one is a bit like it??

You are not huge. Lets try and have a really good week, maybe we can lose 7lbs too?!

Will pm you, don't want to out self in case anyone reads our thread Grin

Greenrabbit · 15/04/2015 21:24

That's nice too. Can you wear black to a summer wedding? I don't think I can pull off any aspect of Alexa though! I don't even have cheekbones!

BeyondTheSea · 15/04/2015 21:26

I think any colour bar white goes at weddings. You could have different colour shoes/bag. Are you flower in hair type??

Greenrabbit · 15/04/2015 21:40

There's too much choice now! I need to dig out the support knickers and go to the shops.

I'm liking the idea of flowers in my hair. I'm sure DD has a hair band I could borrow?

Greenrabbit · 15/04/2015 21:42

The Eve dress is gorgeous. Don't think I could justify the price though.

I have to zzzzz now, up early tomorrow.

Hope you both get lots of sleep!

SolitudeSometimesIs · 15/04/2015 22:22

All these dresses are fab, the Vivienne Westwood one in particular is stunning. But I have a huge soft spot for her stuff. I have plans to be very wealthy and wear her clothes constantly, with a bit of Anna Sui thrown in for good measure.

A stone is very doable Green, I think you'll be able to do it if you stick to it. You sound like you're doing great so far. Are you having shakes and meals or bars and shakes?

Have you tried looking at separates? I wore a long maxi dress that I got in Primark (!), it was a very strong blue and white print, like a ming vase, to the last wedding reception we went too. I accesorised (sp?) it with a belt to nip it in and a cream shrug and threw on a sparkly pair of heels, it was lovely. A marquee lends a different air to it, it needs to be casually fabulous.

Sorry to hear you had a tough day at work Beyond, your job sounds very stressful. How are you feeling now?

I tried a bit of DH's white chocolate Easter egg. It smelled like when DS2's belly button stump got infected, I couldn't eat it - VOM! I'm hoping it's a side effect of the diet that my tastes in food are changing.

Hi Sol. I feel more motivated this week, I hope it lasts and I'll hit my first target soon.
I'm just having a mixture of everything really. I'm trying to just have 1 bar per day, a shake and soup/porridge/pancakes. I found some packs of the spag Bol and carbonara but I have to be in the mood to face them.

I want to try the pizza and sausage mix after you described them but I'll wait till I've used some stuff up first.

I haven't looked at separates. I've just serched for dresses and that was just because my DM reminded me how long it takes for me to choose things. Your outfit sounds lovely. I never go to Primark much. I love white and blue, I've seen a lovely dress from Oasis in those colours. I might order it too but I'm not sure about the sizing.
It would be nice to float round in something designer everyday.

That's a delightful description of white chocolate! I'm glad I prefer milk and dark. We have piles of eggs, I'm going to have to find somewhere to put them all. We have no cupboard space! Why are eggs not wrapped in foil now? They got lots from Thorntons that are just in the box and not wrapped.

If they are still hanging around next month some rocky road will be made with them all.

Have a good day both of you. I'm child free but have to paint a door and do some cleaning.Sad (DH said have a bath and go back to bed but the house is a tip)

Greenrabbit · 16/04/2015 08:56

This is the Oasis dress
www.oasis-stores.com/oriental-maple-leaf-skater/dresses/oasis/fcp-product/5550093161

This was my first choice until I spotted the Mint Velvet dress. But I don't think a 16 will fit and they seem to have no 18's anywhere. I might order it in a week or 2 and see. I think it might be too structured though. My middle is destroyed so I'm not sure how well it will go round my waist (if it even fit elsewhere)

SolitudeSometimesIs · 17/04/2015 14:32

I love the Oasis dress Green, it is gorgeous.

I had a mint and chocolate shake for lunch, it was horrible and I only managed about half but I was very full after it. I've had about 800 cals per day for the last 3 days so I'll be interested to see how the weigh in goes tomorrow.

Have you tried Spanx Green? Not the cheaper alternatives but the actual ones. I find them brilliant and they make you drop a dress size. They're also really comfy whereas some of the cheaper ones can be very scratchy on my thighs.

Oasis can be pretty generous in their sizing in certain styles so I think it's worth trying the dress. Is there a shop nearby where you can try one on?

I tried on the Phase Eight dress again, it's so lovely (it is now hanging in my wardrobe and I am having a small heart attack over the cost). My Mum convinced me to get it and gave me some for for my birthday to put towards it. So now I have it. It is a constant reminder not to go off plan!

Greenrabbit · 18/04/2015 08:21

Oh yay for the new dress. So pleased you got it, it will be a very good reminder!

I like the Oasis dress the most, it's not in stock locally so I might order it from Asos. I don't hold out any hope of it fitting though.

Those choc mint shakes aren't as nice as the others. The consistancy of them is different too.

BeyondTheSea · 18/04/2015 18:28

Can you link your dress again Sol?

So pleased you got it.

Green I like the oasis dress but also really like the mint velvet one. Order both to try?

I am aiming to have less than 1000 calls for the next few days. Will weigh in on Wednesday, if not loss, will do start exante (have 1 week of products left).

Agree re the choc mint shakes. Also didn't like the white choc/raspberry ones.

SolitudeSometimesIs · 20/04/2015 10:49

I didn't lose any weight this week, but as it was TOTM. It's 2 weeks on Saturday until my next wedding and I am getting very nervous about looking good in it. So it's Exante all the way until then.

I bought slim pasta at the weekend, it was vile. Never, ever again. Just a heads up.

OP posts:
Greenrabbit · 20/04/2015 21:17

I tried the slim noodles once. The most disgusting thing I ever tasted.

I think STS is good. You'll probably have a bigger loss this week because of it.

I lost 6lb which I'm pleased with. I had a really upset stomach last week (that I put down to either coffee or Exante). It was terrible by Thursday night and still bad on Friday. I just wanted to cry. So had had some real low carb food on Friday night. I also had awful PMT on Friday and Saturday. I was ready to pack Exante in again but I just tried to stick to low carb food again and I felt better by Sunday.
Had to go out for lunch yesterday. Didn't stick to low carb, but I ate less than normal and skipped desert.

Back onto Exante today. Had pancakes a bar and a strawberry shake. I'm going to see if I can get back into the swing of it this week.

I'm going to order both dresses but I think I'll feel most comfortable in the Mint Velvet one. I'm just waiting for a discount code or HOF/John Lewis event. I found some Spanx that I must have had in a previous existence. Good but I don't think I'll survive a summers day in them!

I think I'll weigh in on Friday.

SolitudeSometimesIs · 20/04/2015 21:18

Had slim rice tonight, way nicer than slim pasta. Only 7 cals per portion so happy days!

How is everyone doing?

Did you find a dress Green?

How goes the 1000 cals per day Beyond?

Finding today a struggle. Just very emotional and weepy at the moment. We've been sorting out wills and things for the future and the thought of anything happening to me and leaving my babies has made my heart hurt. Sometimes my diet seems like the shittiest most self-indulgent stuff to worry about, which in turn makes me think I'm really vain. I'm in some sort of weird thought spiral and need a kick up my arse.

Ugh! Sorry for the moaning!

OP posts:
Greenrabbit · 20/04/2015 21:27

I'm the same at the moment. We need to sort that stuff out too.
On a day to day basis maybe the dieting is self indulgent ( and I'm very guilty of this) But for the long term you are protecting your health as best you can which is very sensible and certainly not indulgent or vain. If I don't think about what I'm eating all the time I fall into a pillow of fatness ( I made this up, I have no idea what it is)

Moan away!
