Well if had my first shake and it wasn't too bad. I'm on 3 packs a day and want to loose at least 2 stone.

Who else has done it? How fast did the weight come off?

Any tips?

I started it 3 weeks ago and am down 19 pounds. I've got quite a bit to lose though. Am on 3 packs a day too and looking forward to introducing some real live food on Monday!

mrssmith79 · 21/02/2015 11:19

Oh, and the best tip I can give you is water, water, water! Join the Facebook groups too - official and unofficial - they're extremely helpful and motivational.

Ieirswnllyd · 21/02/2015 11:21

That's brilliant mrs how much are you hoping to lose?

Going to try and drink plenty of water and a power walk every other day.

No tips. Also starting today Smile Also hoping to lose 2 stone + Grin

Ieirswnllyd · 21/02/2015 11:42

Shall we buddy up and try and help each other along?

I'm trying to think ahead and imagine how good I should feel and look if I stick to it. I am hoping to loose a stone in 3 weeks.

Happy to Smile

It would be good to get off to a flying start like that.

Chocchip88 · 21/02/2015 22:27

I started 3 weeks ago on Monday. I have a lot to lose but have lost about 19 pounds so far (will tell for sure tomorrow as had to replace batteries in the scales today).
Hope your first day went well, I'm funding it surprisingly easy, the first 3 days were the hardest with a rumbly stomach mid afternoon but since then I haven't felt hungry at all. Hope it works well for you.

sosotiredagain123 · 21/02/2015 22:36

I restarted yesterday need to loose another 2 stone

Ieirswnllyd · 22/02/2015 11:36

I'm glad to see so many of us on it.

I bought a smoothie type blender yesterday and used it to mix the vegetable soup before heating it in the microwave for 90 seconds. Much better as I was really struggling to drink a lumpy soup!

How's everyone else doing today?

OP posts:
sosotiredagain123 · 22/02/2015 16:47

Had 2 bars so far struggling to drink enough

Chocchip88 · 22/02/2015 16:57

I haven't braved the soup yet. I have one sachet lurking.
I don't allow myself lunch until I've drunk a bottle of water, it's the only way I can get enough water in.

Ieirswnllyd · 22/02/2015 18:29

Day 2, once tomorrow is over it will be easier...

I'm finding drinking the water tough going too.

I managed a 2 mile run earlier but my legs were cramping and physically couldn't do anymore.

I bought a 4 week supply when they were on offer with Groupon and I have a lot of soup to go through!! I do add a lot of pepper in the soup, it seems to help. Grin

choc you've done amazing. Well done. Flowers

soso what flavour bars have you got? Are they nice?

OP posts:
sosotiredagain123 · 22/02/2015 18:56

Orange and chocolate. A bit salty but prefer them to soup or shakes

Ieirswnllyd · 23/02/2015 19:31

How's everyone doing today?

I'm sticking to it and pretty much in the zone.

Bit hungry tonight though but I think the water is keeping it at bay and making it bearable.

Well done leirs
I'm doing well today, 3rd week weigh in and I've lost a total of 20.6 pounds so really pleased. Had a mint chocolate shake for tea though which is one of my worst flavours.

Ieirswnllyd · 23/02/2015 21:46

choc that's brilliant. How much are you hoping to loose again?

SoonToBeMrsB · 24/02/2015 09:42

Hi everyone, I tried Exante on 1st January and managed five days before the rage and constant crying consumed me Blush

I've been using the products to do a half-hearted attempted at 5:2 but I'd like to knuckle down and try it again properly. I'm nervous though, it was SO hard last time, I was weepy and angry and wanted to strangle my DP every time he happened to look at me. Does it get easier?

SoonToBeMrsB · 24/02/2015 09:43

Oh, I have... 4 stone to lose.

Chocchip88 · 24/02/2015 11:24

Soontobemrsb. I found it easier after 3/4 days. Maybe you were about to turn the corner when you gave up last time? Don't whisper about having 4 stone to lose. I would love to 'only' have 4 stone to lose.

I'm too scared to work out exactly how much I have to lose! Initally I want to lose 2 stone by my birthday (mid March) I have 7 pounds to go. Hopefully doable. Then I want to lose another 18 pounds to get to where I was with Slimming World 2 years ago. I might then start back with Slimming World, I'm not sure yet, I was just finding it depressing trying to lose the same weight over and over again and thought Exante would be a quick way of getting it off.

I am in work today but have forgotten my bar Angry I'm not sure whether to wait it out until I get home about 6.30 or to risk going to Tesco to see if they have some kind of alternative.

SoonToBeMrsB · 24/02/2015 11:36

The Tesco Ultraslim bars are nice, the raspberry one is my favourite. I have used them in the past when I've needed something to chew. My absolute favourite bars are the Slim and Save chocolate praline bars, they're genuinely delicious, not just "nice for what they are".

Everyone said that I gave up just on the cusp of it getting easier last time and I do wish I'd pushed through it. Hopefully this time I can do it, though I ate A LOT of carbs and sugar yesterday so my head is going to be pounding for the next few days while I detox Sad

Chocchip88 · 24/02/2015 11:41

Ok I'm going to head for Tesco and avoid looking at any food! Do you know whereabouts they would be Soon?
I had a big weekend just before I started, had a headache on day 2 and 3 but nothing too bad. Hopefully it won't be as hard this time Soon. I have a list of reasons I want to stay on track on my phone which I looked at a lot in the first few days.

SoonToBeMrsB · 24/02/2015 11:47

They are in the pharmacy aisle with the vitamin supplements and Slim Fast.

I have many reasons to stay focused but my binges seem to override my desire to be slim, even though I can't even put into words how much I want it. The urge to eat seems to turn me into a crazy person.

Reasons to stick to it:

  • I never see anything through to the end. Ever.
  • I'm going on a 5* beach holiday in September and want to feel good about myself
  • I'm getting married next year and my dress is three sizes too small for me
  • I secretly want to complete a half Ironman but could never do it in my current state, where I can count bending to paint my toenails as cardio Blush
Chocchip88 · 24/02/2015 12:42

Thanks Soon, will head straight for that aisle to avoid temptation!
Completely with you on the binges, it's bloody hard isn't it? Your wedding is a brilliant motivator and as for the ironman, I am HUGELY impressed. I sometimes think about exercise but don't get very far!

Chocchip88 · 24/02/2015 14:15

OMG the Tesco bars are amazing!! Thanks soon!
