I'm probably not the best advert for this diet as I've only managed to lose 2 lbs this week.

Basically had a very rare night out on Saturday which involved a trip to a thai restaurant, and a bottle of fruit wine.

Hows everyone else done?

I'll join you in a G&T French Frog?

Frogdelalune · 27/10/2006 20:58

Cheers Crotchety

I am already indulging in a glass of red grape stuff. Purely to take away the taste of my earlier indiscretion - you understand!

Cheers me old muckers!

My tea tonight will probably be about 30 cocktail sausages on sticks. Forgot to take them to my seven year old's party this afternoon. Gaah...Complete with mild cheddar (bleurgh I need STRONG) cubes on 'em...

oxocube · 28/10/2006 19:25

silly question but am new to this! Do you have to eat, even if you are not hungry? Does it make a difference to the weight loss. Had garlic prawn stir fry thing planned for tonight but really don't fancy anything.

so sally, even if I jusy pick on feta and olives, is this better than nothing? I have checked the list and know they are okay foods. Well done btw for getting back on track. Actually, the only thing I do fancy eating is a huge bag of crisps but none (deliberately) in the house. We have sh*t loads of cake and choc which do nothing for me but crisps ... yum

Hi everyone,Well I'm back from a weeks holiday staying with friends in Dubai.Had a bloody fab time but know I've put some weight on.I tried to be good but it's hard when you're a guest at someone's house and they're dishing up pasta etc.Anyway I'm putting off weighing in tp see the damage until the morning then I'm back on the wagon so to speak.

emotionalwreck · 28/10/2006 20:36

Nice to have you back ggirl - we've all been falling off the wagon left right and centre too, so don't worry! Now you've mentioned pasta I must admit that my all time favourite meal is homemade lasagne - with italian salad and garlic bread, mmmmmmmmmmmm.

Strawb - did you get your smoked sausage?

Oxo - its a good job I'm not in your house tonight. Cake and choc sound devine. Having a bad time with cravings this weekend. Must have been that bloody jam doughnut

Hope you have more self control than I have. Nipped out to Bargain Booze (Classy) to pick up 3 bottles of red for a tenner, and found myself gorging on a secret snickers

bloody chocolate

the kiss of death was when I read the excellent carb chart posted on here and realised how few carbs are in a glass of wine . Took the edge off the crisp craving!! Have just realised mayo is fine - egg mayo wraps on the menu then!

emotionalwreck · 29/10/2006 08:50

Be careful with the old alcohol situation oxo - I've found out to my cost that although its low in carbs it can seriously slow your weight loss down!

Yes mayo is great. And you can make some great sauces for meat and fish with cream or creme fraiche!

oxocube · 29/10/2006 09:09

Just eating no bread for 2 days has made a difference already. Definitely less bloated, stomach looks a bit flatter and no indigestion, which I was getting after every meal tbh. I've only just realised how much bread I was eating when it comes to planning meals without it.

And thanks EW - will beware the wine, but roll on the mayo

Crotchety · 29/10/2006 20:11

Strewth I'd be lost without mayonnaise! Still wading through the sausages on sticks here...

emotionalwreck · 29/10/2006 20:42

Cooked Sunday dinner for six people today, and what can I say - I'm pissed.

Have had a fab day though so I don't care. The scales said I'd lost 4lbs this week, so lets just see what they say in the morning!

You're all lovely - I love you all!
