Hi everyone

Have been reasonably good this weekend. Glad you enjoyed the black tie do Mrs Fish!
How did your night go with your German friends, costababe?

Lornaloo - hate it when I lose keys, hope they turn up soon

Wow sounds like so much fun Mrs Fish. Glad to hear you had a good time.
Still havn't found the keys. It really is a mystery. We have looked absolutly everywhere.
Seems like everyone has done quite well food wise, considering it's the weekend. Perhaps we're finally getting to grips with dieting on the weekends too.
Today
Breakfast weetabix
Lunch/dinner Chicken casserol with rice.
Am at mums house tonight. Just whatched Sweeny Todd, hadn't seen it before. Very groesome.

Morning everyone

What's everyone up to today. I'm going to do a quick tidy up(yawn!)and then head to shops with ds2. Hoping I can be good between now and Thursday

Lornaloo - did the keys ever show up???

OP posts:
loopity · 20/11/2006 10:43

Heading out for walk now - just remembered there's choc cake in the kitchen, my mum brought it over yesterday. Going to end up cutting off slivers until there's hardly any left - unless I get out of house.

BTW, mummydoc - did you manage to get back on track? I find mon to thurs easier to be good - weekends sooo difficult with wine etc tend to lose my willpower a bit. Just an idea - have you read Paul McKenna's book (I Can Make You Thin)- very inspiring if want to lose weight - think I'll give it another read myself for my own motivation

Morning all.
Dp found keys this morning......they were in the video player. So glad they turned up, thats saved us £180.
I reckon we should change weigh in day to fridays. I don't know about everyone else but I tend to eat badly on weigh in day and then carry it on through the weekend. If weigh in day is on a Friday then that gives us one more day of being good. Anyone agree? Just an idea..
Forgot to post steps for yesturday
Steps 14896
Miles 4.70
Caleries 515.4
Not sure what I'm doing today, am at my mums still. Dps going to pick us up abit later. I'll prob just take a walk down to the shops and the park while I wait for him to come.

MrsFish · 20/11/2006 12:12

I'm fine with fridays, in fact, more than fine gives us longer to sort the weekend out.

I'm off to MiL's this afternoon...when ds wakes up, he's been in bed since 10am. Poor thing still isn't well. Taking him back to doctors on wednesday for a check up.

MrsFish · 20/11/2006 12:13

Lornaloo - I told you they would be in a really bizarre place you wouldn't think of looking Glad you found them.

loopity · 20/11/2006 12:17

Hi everyone

Back from walk - added 4000 steps to my pedometer count and kept me from hovering around the kitchen mentally torturing myself over a slice of cake

I don't mind changing weigh-in day to a friday if it suits everyone else

Great, I'm a regular swimmer too snorkle, but have been a bit lazy the last few weeks and haven't been much so please encourage me! I normally go twice a week on my own and then to a swim club once a week too.

Have just phoned the creche at the gym and booked in ds2 so that I will go to pool in the morning! Definitely much harder to motivate myself when the weather is colder. Other problem is that I always feel really hungry after a swim so end up undoing all the hard work. Just wondering, do you know if there is a particular swimstroke better for encouraging weight loss, snorkle?? I normally do series of front crawl and breast stroke.

Not done much walking again, ds still ill and clingy, so not been far.

2oz cornflakes and hot water, tsp of sugar
2 nimble and gold, mug of vegetable soup
1 options hot choc, pkt quavers
Pile of veg, 2 pieces breaded mackerel (few chips from DH's trip to chippy

Oh and a couple of handfuls of corn chips whilst waiting for dinner to do, not good.

So then, shall we change weigh in day to Friday?

loopity · 20/11/2006 21:42

Hi everyone

Mrs Fish, sorry to hear ds still poorly, hope he's better soon

Snorkle - I normally do say 10 lengths of frontcrawl, then 10 breast stroke then back to front crawl etc until I feel I've done enough (normally 40-50 lengths, you're prob doing lot more than this!) At the swim club at the gym, we follow the swim coach's programme so stroke would be varied much more often.

Today's food diary

breakfast - boiled egg and slice of toast

lunch - sandwich, banana and 2 biscuits

dinner - small steak, mash, carrots, broccoli and cauliflower cheese (I made cheese sauce with semi-skimmed milk but only had full-fat cheese so cals probably off the scale for that!)

Pedometer steps - 12,472

Morning,
Ok lets change weigh in to friday. Yes?
Yesturday
Breakfast bowl of crunchy nut cornflakes. (at my mums)
Lunch Roast veg in a tomato sauce with white pasta (out for lunch)
Dinner Brown Pasta with peas onions garlic and grated cheese.
Fruit for snacks and a bar of fruit and nut. Terrible day. Didn't do many steps.
Today I have Done my workout dvd, hooverd the whole house while listening to madonna and I have just had my breaky. I'm hoping that doing that before eating might have burnt off some of the extra caleries I consumed yesturday.
I'm going to go on a nice long walk with ds in about an hour.
Sweetheart did you have a nice time last weekend?
Dislexicicecream are you doing ok? I hope we hear from you soon.

MrsFish · 21/11/2006 12:14

Yes, change to friday.

I am off to the gym after I take ds to nursery, DH joined us both at David Lloyds on friday, so am going to check it out. Can't remember the last time I went to a gym, I'm scared

sweetheart · 21/11/2006 12:14

Hello to you all - you all sound like you were quite well behaved over the weekend.

Well, I had a brilliant time away but today I'm back on the diet. I weighed myself yesterday and I have put on 3Ibs over the weekend but I was very good yesterday and went to the gym for nearly 2 hours to make up for all my naughtyness. I have to say though I can hardly move today!

I don't mind changing weigh-in day to Friday - it might help me to be better on a Thursday when I'm off work and peckish!

loopity · 21/11/2006 13:31

Hi everyone

Sounds like the hen weekend was good, sweetheart

I'm just back from the gym - have been for a swim. Mrs fish, reckon you will love it - I go even if I can't be bothered to do much exercise as it's great to get an hour to myself if ds2 is in their creche.

Pleased we have changed weigh-in day, gives me another day to sort myself out

Hi everyone, just wondered if I could join - a bit late I know but need to lose half a stone before christmas. Sorry I've not read through all the thread as its too long!!

Hopefully you can provide me with a bit of motivation to keep going until Christmas

loopity · 21/11/2006 18:48

Hi boomie, welcome - great to have another on board

We started about a month ago - weigh in was a thursday, will be a friday from now on. Think we've all managed a few lbs off but some of us (me included!) have gone up/stayed the same some weeks.

No real dieting strategies - just encourage each other, post our food diaries, ask for advice etc. Some of us have pedometers and post our steps along with our food diaries each day.

Good luck
