I have done 15252 steps today. 527.7 cals burned. 4.81 miles.
Well done Costababe, im impressed, no cheese. Well in that case you are fine for today. Under the limit defo.

loopity · 17/11/2006 08:48

Morning everyone

Well done on the weight loss

Horrendous snacking day yestersday - not even going to shame myself with the details. Back to being good today and not out much this weekend so can hopefully avoid temptation.

Dislexicecream - missing your posts, hope you're doing ok

Costababe - Have you tried sweetners instead of sugar? will save you loads of cals, also black coffee, or skimmed milk in the coffee will save even more.

I managed to drink the 2 litres of water yesterday, will attempt the same thing today.

Another tip, I have started drinking sugar free apple and blacurrant squash with hot water in, its refreshing and its hot in this cold weather, I am finding I am not missing my cups of tea, and there are no cals in it

Ds seems much better this morning after a restless night, we didn't get up till 9am, but he is walking around as usual, still not eating but he is drinking plenty which is the main thing.

MrsFish · 17/11/2006 09:58

Its interesting to see the different pedometer readings... on my stride length and starting weight, if I did 15,000 steps it would equate to 7.5 miles, makes you wonder doesn't it

biglips · 17/11/2006 10:00

ive been doing crap crap crap this week. ive had a few pieces of toasts and abit of chocs too

still not done any excercises BUT walked yesterday as i usually take my car and it was a lovely day yesterday too but not today as its BBAAAAADD!!

MrsFish · 17/11/2006 10:03

Costababe - just counted up the cals in your drinks... with six cups a day you are having approx an extra 200 calories a day. Thats 1400 cals over the week, over three weeks thats an extra pound in weight that could be lost.

loopity · 17/11/2006 10:29

It's snowing here this morning - no walking for me!

OP posts:
lornaloo · 17/11/2006 10:47

Snowing!Where do you live?
Mrs Fish I didn't enter my stride length, I think I just left it on what it was set on. So mines probably wrong. Whats your stride length?
Costababe, maybe your goal for this week can be to limit your coffee. Or only drink black coffe no sugar?
Yesturday wasn't a good day for me, so I'm going to make up for it today.

sweetheart · 17/11/2006 10:49

Hello,

Sorry I haven't been around to post - I've had a manic week. I weighed yesterday and I had lost 2Ibs which brings my total to 7Ibs AND made me under 10 stone for the first time in about 7 years!

I'm off on a hen weekend in an hour or so and I have no intention of being good but I promise to get straight back to the diet on Tuesday and try and salvage something from this week.

I haven't had chance to read every post but it's great to hear some of you are doing well and those of you that aren't doing so well - we still have a few weeks left to go so there is still time to get back on track.

I expect I'll post again Tuesday so until then have a great weekend!

loopity · 17/11/2006 10:56

Enjoy your hen weekend, sweetheart. You've done so well that you can afford to eat and drink whatever you want !

Lornaloo, I'm in N.Ireland - really wintry today. Not out tonight - think I'll light the coal fire and watch loads of TV

i was too fed up to post yesterday as having lost a miserable 3 lbs or so in the whole time ( but did go up by 4 lbs on holiday and then managed to lose itagain) i have had a crap week and am now back to 87 kg whic i started at - i didn't get christams shopping as dh got back fromhis trip and announced he had to go to tie up some loose ends at his last client on thursday so i had to do nursery pick up /tea/bath/bed again on my own...and so cooked green thai curry for tea and ate 2 bits of cake and 2 glasses of wine oh and i ate half the kids chips and acheese sandwhich aswell yesterday . FED BLOODY UP. please i need a pep talk, i need to 1) stick to my eating plan and 2 ) get exercising :

so here is my new pledge slimfast brekkie and lunch , no bikkies , fruit at kids tea time, half a glass of wine only per night and meat and veg type dinners, i cannot eat carbs - i just store them as fat, and i vow to do 3 30min exercise things this week . right if i don't do this next weigh in you can all lamblast me. thankyou for reading a very long whingy post , feel better/calmer and more determined again.

mummydoc · 17/11/2006 11:51

forgot to add hope babyfish is feeling better and well done every one on you fab weight loss . there are still 5 thursdayd to christmas at 2lbs a week i could still squeeze in the 10 bls ( or 5 kilos) will really try

lornaloo · 17/11/2006 12:16

You can do it mummydoc. Try not to feel put off.
Ok so no carbs for you from now on. You have to stick to it. If you do im sure you'd definitly lose 2lb a week, if not then more.
Try walking as much as you can. Could you walk to work? Or ride?
Walk to the shops, walk everywhere possible. That will really help. Try my 2 liter water tip. It definitly helps me.
Today Im trying to be extra good as I was abit naughty yesturday.
Another tip that really really really helps is not eating anything after 7pm. I say this but I haven't been very good at sticking to it myself. When I do stick to it it does work a treat. It helps beacuse it limits your eating time, so you might have breakfast lunch then dinner at 6 then there is less time to snack. iyswim.

lornaloo · 17/11/2006 12:17

sorry litre

costababe · 17/11/2006 15:34

Right, new goal for me.. thanks Mrs Fish, I knew I was using up cals but put like that, well I will have to curb my desire for sweet cups of tea and coffee, today I have drunk about 4 cups so far.. oops...but have lowered down to 1 sugar! Just been out and picked up sweetners so starting tomorrow its no sugar for me, have tried black coffee and actually I love it but I have to have suger in it!
I have been really good today only stewed fruit for brunch and nothing other than the cups of afore mentioned coffee, but tonight we have been invited around to some peoples for food, we dont really know them that well, havng only meet a few times in our fav restuaant, so we know we have a shared interest in red wine! They are German, speak no English, we speak no German and they only have a limited command of Spanish ( not hat mines much better!!) so I think it will be an interesting evening!
Any way good luck to all with the weekend.

Oops just picked the laptop up, and it showed that I hadn't got round to submitting that last post... doh! Oh well it will just reiterate my point

lornaloo · 17/11/2006 18:31

I keep forgetting to say when I post, Ds managed to climb out his cot this morning. Scary or what?? I heard him crying this morning and what sounded like him banging on his bedroom door. I got up went to his room opened the door and there he was standing there in the middle of a bomb site. I don't know how long he'd been playing around in his room for but it must have been a while for him to of made such a mess. I think he stood on top of this big lion teddy he has in his cot and hurled himslef over. Im taking the lion out of the cot so he can't do it again. It was so shocked, I just couldn't believe it.

MrsFish · 17/11/2006 19:17

MrsFish · 19/11/2006 20:32

I had a fab weekend, black tie gala dinner last night, which was most enjoyable, did really well food wise yesterday but had about a 1000 calories worth of wine

Yesterday
2 crumpets and gold
Maccy D's sweet chilli chicken deli sandwich with side salad NOT fries.
Dinner was leek and potato soup (I didn't have the roll)
Chicken and mushroom pie with roasted new potatoes of which I had one, and I took the pastry off the top ofthe pie and just ate the middle bit.
Some sort of toffee pudding for dessert which I didn't eat.

lots of wine.

Today

Full English (hangover food) 2 sausages, 1 bacon, scrambled egg, beans, mushrooms half a hash brown.

pkt monster munch

Pasta with pesto and feta cheese and tomatoes.

Lots of water, not much walking, spent most of the day sitting in hotel waiting to sober up before driving and driving back.

steps 2895, 1.37 miles 156 cals burned.

Have you found your keys yet? trouble is when little ones are playing with stuff they hide things in really bizzare places that you would never dream of looking for. Ds's latest was to put the remote control in the washing machine, I didn't realise... put a load of washing in and did a full cycle, only found it upon emptying machine.
