Hi all, been a bit lapse over the weekend with recording my food diary didnt do too badly on Friday night had chicken and salad for starter and then steak and veg for main no dessert, only one Baileys and a few glasses of red wine. Sat we had family around for drinks and a bite, only ate salad, but had half a bottle of red wine.
Sunday raisins for brekkie, lunch tiny piece of quiche, dinner 2 sausages with small portion of mash and onion gravy.
Not much exercise apart from flying around with the housework and running after kids!!
Today
Brekkie tried a sachet of oats to go with ss milk and raisins... I so want to like this but I really hate oats and porridge!!!managed half a portion yuk!
Lunch small salad
Dinner chicken and asparagus in a white wine sauce with 1 roast pot.
Snacks raisins and two slices of wafer thin ham.

Need to remember to drink more water!
Hope you are all up beat, sorry for the long post.

Cadbury's Melts are little choccy bars that are individually wrapped in packs of 6 (I think! haven't opened them yet!)

THey are normal chocolate with a nice 'melting' filling but because they are small they are only 75 cals each - and obviously you're only supposed to eat one!!

I've had a good food day - I've earned my £1! For dinner I ended up just having a bowl of Fruit and Fibre as my dh had to work late and I had t go to a PTA meeting so there wasn't time to eat the lovely beef casserole - never mind, it's supposed to taste better if you make it the day before anyway!

Had 2 smallish glasses of wine, 1 at the PTA meeting and 1 now. No idea how many calories that equates to.

Hi everyone

Still haven't manged to get back properly on track today

breakfast - 1 slice toast, tea

lunch - beans on toast

tea - small bowl of rice, couple of small home-made meatballs in tomato sauce, sweetcorn

All pretty good so far.....now for the snacks
half of a lge sausage roll and ketchup, 4 (maybe 5!) mini twix bars, few jelly sweets, handful of cashew nuts (have basically been hanging out of the larder all day where the remains of the trick or treat stash is kept)

Have put in a massive fruit and veg box order for this week so I am going to fill the fridge with carrot sticks etc for snacks

And am going to sort out a jar tonight to use for the £1 coins which I will hopefully start earning from tomorrow

MrsFish · 07/11/2006 10:12

I only did 8000 odd too, and that was with a 3 mile walk. Need to do a good 3 hour walk to get anything like 18,000. Oh well, I am resigning myself to the fact that I may show I have put on this week, it is my period week and I am hungry all the time and I had a bad weekend oh well

Hope everyone else does better

BIGlilBUBU · 07/11/2006 14:21

I find getting 10000 steps in a day can be easy if your out all day shopping or something, but yesturday I had nothing planned so my only walk was to the shops. I walked to some shops quite a walk away so that id get more steps in, but still didnt manage 10000. I know today I wont manage 10000. Im at my mums, we didnt go on a walk in the end because we didnt have time before my mum went to her fittness class. Im here at hers now with ds. I think I shall have a walk down to the park in a bit. Or I might put some music on and have a dance around with ds. Or maybe ill do both.

loopity · 07/11/2006 19:43

Hi everyone

Today's diary
Breakfast - half slice of toast

Lunch - totally unhealthy - medium sausage roll

Dinner - Chicken and veg stirfry with rice

Snacks -
Small slice of birthday cake - my grandad was 87 today!

2 mini twix bars (finished all the trick or treat stuff off now - I can't have choc in the house on the run up to time of the month - eat it all as you can clearly see!). All halloween sweets now finished so back to normal -wee ones only allowed sweets at the weekend so house can go back to choc-free zone for their mother's sake !

I really don't think I will show any weight loss this week, however I am still determined to do this 10lb challenge so next week will be different, I promise!!!!

Hi everyone,
Loopity I dont think I will have lost ANYTHING this week. I just dont have the willpower at the moment. Its really anoying me. I need to start nuckling down. I was to lose a decent amount of weight. That way I can really enjoy eating what I like at christmas. Anyway today I have eaten
Bowl of wheatabix for breakfast.
A cheese tomato and lettuce baguette for lunch.
An almond croisson (dont know how to spell it) after.
Dinner was spag bol at my mums, dont think she uses lean mince, and it looked as though there was quite alot of oil in it. It was white spagetti too.
Bad bad day . I say everyday that today ill be good and I never manage it. Maybe writing this will help me.

BIGlilBUBU · 07/11/2006 20:57

sos desent

BIGlilBUBU · 07/11/2006 20:59

nope think i was right the first time...decent???

loopity · 07/11/2006 21:06

Hi Blb !

Know the feeling, this is the stage I always go wrong at when I want to shift bit of weight - really good for a few weeks and then self-destruct all the good work - why oh why !!!!!!!!!!!!!

The only thing is I know I probably would have been even worse if i didn't come on here to post the day's slip-ups.

How shall we turn this around? Need some motivation again, esp as I really love being that bit lighter too!

OP posts:
MrsFish · 07/11/2006 21:18

Well I would have thought having a weight loss the first two weeks would have motivated me the last two weeks, it hasn't happened, too many meals out and stuff happening to have a whole good week. On Saturday I have MiL 60th B'day bash, I have offered to drive again, so as I don't spoil the week with too much drink.

Today

Brekkie - Muller yoghurt, small banana, apple

Lunch - 1 crumpet, 1 w/m bread, 2 plain ryvita with philadelphia light and a scraping of jam.

Dinner - Homemade shepherds pie with veg.

4 cups tea and squash for drinks.

Only managed 5745 steps today , 2.72 miles, which is 310 cals burned - must try harder tomorrow, last day to be good before weigh in.

I think will deffo be up on scales on thursday as it is my period week so am always more bloated.

Looks like we all need a kick iup the arse

loopity · 07/11/2006 21:25

Okay then the only thing I can think of is that we see what happens on Thursday weigh-in, then focus our minds back to how we felt when we started. Think I will even re-read the whole thread to help me. I was definitely taking more exercise first few weeks and eating less choc so I know where i've gone wrong!

But we will do this weight loss challenge even if we have to kick each others' asses

mumtogusnalbie · 07/11/2006 21:56

Hi, I know your thread has been going for some time but I would like to lose 10 lbs so any chance I can be a late joiner?
Thanks
Lindsey

BIGlilBUBU · 07/11/2006 22:05

Welcome Lindsey.
Right i've got a plan loopity. I find I keep motivated if i weigh myself every morning. I know your not ment to, but if I see myself losing weight it keeps me on track and makes me feel happy. When I had ds I went on a massive diet. Every morning id wake up weigh myself then have breakfast. Everyday id be lighter and lighter, i enjoyed whatching the weight drop off. It also helped me keep on track, so if one day i ate a load of crap id see no weight loss and get back on track. I think this is the only way i am going to succeed in this weight loss.

mumtogusnalbie · 07/11/2006 22:23

Thanks for letting me in!!
Is it weigh in day on Thursday then?
I'm really excited - maybe with a bit of support, I can really do it and be back in my jeans by Christmas!!

BIGlilBUBU · 07/11/2006 22:32

Yeh weigh in on thursday. I dont think im going to do well at all this week. I will probaly have gained weight.
Im going to start weighing myself more often because I find it works better for me. I shall post my weight loss/gain on here every thursday though.
Have you recently had a baby Lindsey? Or just wanting to shift some weight?

loopity · 08/11/2006 09:52

morning everyone, welcome mumtogusnalbie
happy birthday big lips

Blb, think weighing more often is good idea, keep us motivated through the week until we actually post the results on Thursdays.

I feeling bit more positive already - still another six weeks until christmas - we will do this!

OP posts:
BIGlilBUBU · 08/11/2006 11:08

Same here loopity, im feeling more positive.
Fresh start today I think.
Yesturday I did 10036 steps. I resorted to running up and downs stairs and round the house last night at 9oclock trying to get to 10000, it worked. I think i had done something like 8000 or so throughout the day.

MrsFish · 08/11/2006 11:19

I do that if I have the energy

If I have a pile of ironed clothes on the table, I'll take them upstairs one item at a time to put away
