just take it easy for cupple of days and dont go dong loads of lifting and stuff,

Wow - this has turned into a chatty thread!

Well, I'm back after yet another naughty weekend! I can do soooo well during the week but the weekend comes and it all goes out the window!

Considering it was half term last week I did really well, even took a packed lunch the day we went to the theme park! I didn't manage any gym visits unfortunatly but I did still play netball which was a t least 1 bit of excercise for the week.

Drank a good few bottles of wine over the weekend and had a chinese on Sat night BUT I was really rather ill after eating it - I think I overindulged!!!!! I didn't manage to eat anything at all yesterday as I still couldn't hold anything down so perhaps I haven't done my diet too much damage.

We only have 1 meal planned for next weekend and I'm planning on staying sober as I feel I've overdone it a bit lately so I plan on being really good for 2 whole weeks (diet AND excercise) and no alcolhol at the weekend!!!!!

On the plus size I brought my first size 10 outfit at the weekend! I've dropped about 3 dress sizes in the last 11 months and I'm very chuffed with myself!

Right, I must dash - off to the gym. Belated happy b'day to dic and welcome to all the new people!

BIGlilBUBU · 30/10/2006 12:41

Hi sweetheart i was beginning to wonder where you'd been. Drinking obviously im not going to drink for a long while either. It just wipes me out for days. I've never been a big drinker but recently i've been going out with my friend on a friday night and drinking a lot more than i normally do. So i think it will be a nice night in on friday with a good film instead of going out.
Thanks for the reassurance dislexicicecream. Ive always had them with my periods but just small ones and never worried. Its just after the midwifes asking about it after having ds, it made me think about it, and wonder if it was a bad thing. Yes that makes sense about the placenta thing, obviously it wouldn't be birth related as i had ds nearly 14months ago now.
It worried me abit as it was quite big and i actually felt it come out and rushed to the loo to see what it was. But im sure its nothing. I certainly dont feel ill or in any pain whatsoever.
Hows the no wheat dislexicecream? Im doing really crap! its bad as it was me that suggested it I havnt had any bread still though. Thats at least one good thing.

dislexicicecream · 30/10/2006 12:53

im finding the no wheat quite easy, athough i did eat alpen bar very inocently not knowing it had wheat in it
thats why i was saying about museli the other day,
i dont think i have lost weight from the no wheat but my energy is defenitly on the up, and urrmmm i have found as the days have gone bye i have become more regula if u know what i mean?
could be down to the water though, but i defintly feel less bloted , so its got to be a good thing

dislexicicecream · 30/10/2006 12:59

thanks sweetheart god i got sooo drunk on saturday i was still feeling tipsy on sunday !! thats most of the reson i have had so much water lol

sweetheart · 30/10/2006 13:50

ahh BlB - how sweet that you'd noticed I was missing - well hiding actually!!! I really really wish I could be good at the weekend but I seem to have too many social things at the moment! I was going to have a weekend off this weekend but now we have this b'day dinner booked in for a friend of dh's. I won't be drinking as much as I have recently but there's still the food to consider! I just hate going out for a meal and watching what i eat - I regard it as a total waste of money and a waste of a meal out (which dh and I don't do together very often!)

dic - if you can't have a few drinks on your b'day then when can you

BIGlilBUBU · 30/10/2006 14:16

Well sweetheart, think of it this way. Your still losing weight even though you dont stick to your diet on weekends. You've dropped 3 dress sizes in 11 months which is fantastic and you still have a social life, enjoying nice food and drink. Its not as if the weekend completely ruins all your hard work as your still losing weight each week.
Dislexicicecream well done for going wheat free. Its ment to be good for your digestive system so prob is why your more regular.
I was up at 6:30 this morning with ds so had my breakfast then and had my lunch at 11:30. Now im hungry again. Maybe I should have something to eat soon instead of at 6:00. What do you reckon?

loopity · 30/10/2006 14:17

Hi sweetheart,

Glad you had a nice weekend, think most of us were over-indulging on the booze as well !

OP posts:
loopity · 30/10/2006 14:20

BlB, could you just have something light like a yoghurt or bowl of soup now so that you can still have your dinner. i find that if I eat too early at teatime then I am really hungry before bed and end up picking all evening

texasrose · 30/10/2006 14:28

Hi everyone!

I've got a 'once in a blue moon' work-free, children-free day today!

Sweetheart congratulations on losing so much weight! You must be really proud of yourself! Oh and BTW I totally agree about enjoying yourself when you go out for meals! I'd rather do it less often and have somehing really special then go back to eating sensibly the next day. Having said that I had a chicken kebab the othe nightwhich was quite a healthy option as it had no skin, loads of salad, chilli sauce and a huge pitta (which I left most of!)

DyslexicIC, why did you decide to go wheat free? My dd is v. allergic to wheat so we tend not to eat much anyway. I don't miss it at all, altho I feel wistful walking past baker's shops!

MrsFish I would love an Aga (if we had room in the kitchen...)

I paid for somehing that was £1 this morning with a £20 note and asked for the change in £1 coins so I've got a good stash of £1s for my pot!

See yas all later...

sweetheart · 30/10/2006 14:55

Hi loopity - must say, thanks for starting this thread it's turned out to be fab!

BlB - thanks for your words of encourangement - I guess when you write it down like that it looks pretty good (although it hasn't been easy!) I've had to totally change my eating and excercise habits.

How about a small bowl of cereal or something to keep you going - does your lo always rise that early or is it because of the clocks changing? My ds was awake at 5.30 this morning but luckily I managed to get him back to sleep!

Tr, I'm so glad someone else likes their meals out as much as me. I just hate being good - I know I've already made that very clear! At least you can support me when i eat a starter, main and pudding!!!!

I like this £1 a day business, I might have to try it - what are the rules, if you loose weight you get £7 or if you have a good day you get £1?!?!?!!

Also why are you trying to give up wheat? Does it help you loose weight faster?

Lots of love
SH xxx

MrsFish · 30/10/2006 17:09

Sweetheart - it doesn't sound as if you need to worry about dieting anymore seeing as you bought a size 10, I dream of being a 12 never mind a 10

BIGlilBUBU · 30/10/2006 17:27

I think the £1 a day thing is a good idea too.
Yeh if you go wheat free properly your ment to lose loads of weight. I think it quite hard to digest, so when you cut it out your digestive system can work alot better. I know a few people that have lots loads and loads of weight cutting wheat out. But I find it really hard. Not that I crave wheat but its in so much food. I'vbe managed to go bread free but i've had wheatabix and stuff. Im not going to give up trying though. I just need to do a big food shop and buy loads of wheat replacments. Like rice instead of pasta and things like that.
I managed not to have anything earlier. Im going to start on dinner soon.
Enjoyed your work free kid free day texarose? Hope your well rested.

BIGlilBUBU · 30/10/2006 17:42

No sweetheart he he's not normally an early riser. He normally goes to bed at about 7 and is up between 8 and 9. But he was so tired yesturday he went to bed at 6. He had a very disturbed night and woke up loads. Hopefully he'll be better tonight. Im going to keep him up untill 7 tonight.

MrsFish · 30/10/2006 18:45

I've had another crap day, so no dinner for me tonight if I want to keep on track. I need a kick up the arse, looks like I will be staying the same this week unless I have a mega good tue/wed.

Breakfast - Rice Krispies and skimmed milk

Then spoiled by eating ds's lunch which he didn't want which was quiche. Then followed by a bread roll and spread, sausage and dip (leftovers from party)

and leftover lemon tart (2 slices) Doesn't sound much but the calories have added up to my daily allowance

I may have to have a bowl of porridge though as I am hungry, at least its low cal and filling.

texasrose · 30/10/2006 19:12

Hmmm, I haven't really thought through the 'rules' of the £1 pot as such!

My original idea was to pay myself for every lb lost, but then I thought it'd be better to pay myself for every good-eating day...

Today has been good food-wise.
I've had...

Fruit and fibre for breakfast
Prawn salad (low cal) for lunch, followed by 2 satsumas
A couple of dried apricots
A cold chicken and cranberry sauce sandwich for dinner followed by the leftover apple crumble from yesterday.

To drink - tea galore, and a few glasses of water. I need to drink more water!

Oh, and a cappucino in the cafe this morning (skimmed milk).

MrsF, porridge sounds good. Or baked beans? Or soup? We get through so many rice cakes in this house (partly because of dd's allergies). They take a while to eat and are low cal so that's quite good from the diet POV!

dislexicicecream · 30/10/2006 19:32

BIGlilBUBU · 30/10/2006 20:35

Im suprised you've gained weight. You've eaten well everyday havmnt you. It might well be all the water filling you up.

sweetheart · 30/10/2006 20:38

BlB how old is your lo, do you think it might be teeth?

I havent had a bad day today.
Breakfast - 1.5 slices of toast
Lunch - wafer thin chicken salad
Dinner skinless roast chicken with veg and 3 roast pot's (in fry light stuff) - I had dinner at mums because dh is away until tomorrow so had no choice of what to eat.

Also had about 2 cups of tea today and went to the gym. I'm also going to do some sit ups before bed if I can be bothered.

Think I will have gaines weight this week but I will try harder next week!

lipsbite · 30/10/2006 20:41

BIGlilBUBU - i read your post about your AF and yes its normal (even though i wasnt BF)..i thought i was gonna have heavy period for the rest of my life as it wasnt till the 6th period that it started to go lighter - phew!..

well yesterday and today is a BAD day!

yesterday @ 7.30am!!!- brekkie - Rice krispies with SS milk
late morning - DD's porridge - oasta simple - as she wasnt hungry
dinner @ 5pm - 3 cocktail sausages as i was starving!!...homemade mince with toms, mushrooms, spices (all healthy stuff)
then went shopping and was so tempted getting Kit kats packet (the 2 bar ones) which i did get them
supper - kit kat!! and crunchy nut brekkie - its so hard not to say No! to them!!!!

today -
brekkie - Crunchy nuts with ss milk
kit kat!!
lunch - 2 slices of honey roast ham with crunchy salad adn a dollop of low fat mayo, Quavers, yoghurts and apple
tea - left over with pasta and half slice of wholemeal bread with clover spread
now - bowl of crunchy nuts!!!

oh well!!... BUT im getting better on the bread situation

loopity · 30/10/2006 21:21

Hi everyone
Just back from a fireworks display with dd and ds1. Very proud of myself as I resisted the free hotdogs although dh had 3 instead!

Must be something in the air at the mo as ds2 up from 5.45am today - he's a terrible sleeper, always wakens few times during night, but we normally get to about at least 7am once he goes over again.

Today's food diary
Breakfast - slice of toast (predictable!)
lunch - boiled egg and slice of toast
tea - stirfry chicken, veg and boiled rice
Having a glass of red before I head off to bed (another bad habit!)

Think if I stay the same this week I will be happy as tomorrow kids are having halloween party after trick or treating so major effort required to avoid cake and party food, eek!

OP posts:
loopity · 30/10/2006 21:22

Forgot that I shared bar of choc with dd - I had most of it

OP posts:
BIGlilBUBU · 30/10/2006 21:23

I did notice ds had an extra tooth today. Might have been his teeth. I think the clocks going back didnt help tho.
Thanks lipsbite for the reassurance. Was abit worried by it as it was a big blood clot. But my periods been light for the rest of the day so thats good.
