Hi everyone, why dont we all get pedometers and write how amny steps weve done. That would be interesting.
I took ds to be weighed this morning. He doesnt really need to be weighed anymore, but I couldnt think of where to take him today as its so wet and rainy. He likes playing with the kids at the clinic so I thought why not ill take a walk down. Kept him happy. Walked by the duck pond on the way back and me and ds whatched all the swans geese ducks and pigeons for ages. We did quite well actually we saw squirrles and a rat. Ds was amazed. He also got a little treat, I got him a little cup cake from the bakers. The squirrel ended up having most of it though.
Whats everyone else up to today? think I might clean out the oven in abit.

dislexicicecream · 25/10/2006 12:39

the pedomiter thing sounds like a good idea, maybe how wood we do it though? every day in our food diary? or once a week with our weigh in?
the apple and apricot thing was grate this morning thanks for that idea, i did it on top of some porrege and added some saltanas as well, was grate very sweet! and i know i didnt add any suguer the kids loved it to ! they wear asking for seconds , they never ask for seconds with the normal crappy cerials i bye them, so it will probaly become a regula thing in my house,
emmy lou thats funny about your pedomiter , i keep getting panic attacks over mine every time i turn the washing macheen on lol havent washed it yet though,
big it sounds like a nice trip to the duck pond, we have a lovely one hear by the beach always full of swans maybe i shuld take them some of this bread i have left in my cupbords i havent eaten any for a few days cos trying to stop might be good idea,

battybird · 25/10/2006 14:08

Cant hang around so will post with any loss when i can tomorrow, well done to everyone from what i have read looks like things are going well.

costababe · 25/10/2006 14:16

Glad u liked the stewed fruit, and evn better the lo's loved it too, my ds2 wont touch it, apples are yuk apparently, hadnt noticed myself!Whilst ds1 who is 14.5 will hunt the container out of the fridge in a flash!
The pedometer idea sounds fab, dont have access to a boots here, will have to wait til I can get to the nearest Decalathon. But will up my walking whilst waiting to get one.

loopity · 25/10/2006 14:34

Hi everyone

Think I'm going to make the stewed fruit recipe tonight, do you think it can be made with cooking apples instead of granny smiths? Have about 2 doz to use up and have already been on recipes thread today looking for other apple-y dishes to make as well!

costababe · 25/10/2006 14:42

cooking apples would be good, I would use them but can only get granny smiths at the mo, living in Spain.

BIGlilBUBU · 25/10/2006 15:03

Yeh we could post out steps each night. I havnt got one yet though. Ill have to get myself one.

MrsFish · 25/10/2006 17:53

Another day with not many steps, weather hasbeen atrocious, went to visit my mum and nan, so hardly any walking today, done about 3000 steps up to now.

BIGlilBUBU · 25/10/2006 19:10

Hi everyone.
Mrs fish not suprised you didnt get many steps in, the whethers been horrible hasnt it.

Lunch Pasta with tinned tomato onion garlic and some parmasan.

I find it hard to diet on a day like today, cold and wet.

MrsFish · 25/10/2006 19:40

Bowl of porridge for brekkie, 2 cups of tea with ss milk

Slice of toast, two biccies and finished off ds's fish pie he wouldn't eat for lunch. 1/2 litre squash

2 coffee (black)

Coffee with irish cream liquer at my nans this afternoon :yummy:

Dinner - Salmon fillet with baby corn, broccolli, cauliflower and peas, bit of ketchup and low fat mayo on the side. Can of Fanta Zero

3000 steps approx

MrsFish · 25/10/2006 19:41

Don;t think I have lost much this week, not done as much exercise or been as good food wise. We'll see tommorrow

sweetheart · 25/10/2006 19:59

today I've had

Bruch - scrambled egg on toast
Dinner - Steak and new pots with garlic bread (we went out for dinner) and I pinched the last bit of dd's ice cream.

Think I was quite good considering I'm a real pudding person!

Also went swimming with the kids although I don't think that counts as much excercise!

loopity · 25/10/2006 20:01

Hi everyone

Mrs Fish, at least your food diary for today looks healthy, as for me...

Think I let the horrible wet and stormy weather get to me, eating wise . Plus couldn't face going to shops in pouring rain so won't be able to get my pedometer until tomorrow now.

Breakfast - tea, 1 slice of toast with sliced banana

Lunch - scrambled egg on 1 slice toast

Dinner - chicken, veg and rice

Snacks - here's where it goes downhill, 4 jaffa cakes and 4 belgian chocs

Not sure how my weigh-in will be tomorrow!

MrsFish · 25/10/2006 20:04

Loopity - it doesn't look too bad at all, a quick tally up of calories going by what you have mentioned, I would have said you haven't had more than 1500 calories, which is fine

costababe · 25/10/2006 20:15

Food for the day..
Breakfast the usual stewed fruit
lunch three crackers with philly and sliced advocado on
dinner pork chop cooked in tin toms with loads of veg and a big dash of mustard.
About five cups of tea/coffee, with 1 sugar in each.

I also did two hours of raking, sweeping and pruning in the garden today, problem is I am absolutely starvng now and not sure what to eat, want really bad things!!! stop me!!

loopity · 25/10/2006 20:16

Thanks Mrs Fish, that's cheered me up

loopity · 25/10/2006 20:18

Oh and costa, go on have something healthy! Btw what's the weather like in Spain, hopefully not as bad in UK?

OP posts:
dislexicicecream · 25/10/2006 20:18

DONT DO IT costababe weigh in tomoro!!!!!!!!!!
dont let all the hard work slip...

MrsFish · 25/10/2006 20:22

Costababe - BE GOOD, DO NOT SLIP, just think of the weigh in tomorrow.

If I feel really peckish in the evening after dinner, I have a bowl of cereal. Filling and not too naughty

costababe · 25/10/2006 20:37

I am going to resist the biccies calling me and have a glass of water and a nice cup of tea instead, thanks for the support.
Weather here has been good today about 23 degrees and a bit cloudy, warm enough to be in he garden in short sleeves. But ove the last week it has been pouring every day and when it rains it like a flood, they dont go in for drains here!!

lipsbite · 25/10/2006 22:40

today had (im sort of back to normal)

brekkie - 2 weetabixs and ss milk
lunch - Spam and cheese (normal red chedder) with black pepper and a scone!
tea - chicken with cream homemade sauce that went wrong and pasta with the stuffing inside - cant remember the name of them
now - a small bowlful of cornflakes

snacks - raisins and oranges (i find eating raisins helps me to stay off the biscuits very well) and 2 squares of leftover cadburys chocs (i came home today and Dp ate half of my bar but i didnt mind as i didnt want to eat it all anyway)

lipsbite · 25/10/2006 22:40

oops! lunch was a wholemeal sandwich with spam etc...

BIGlilBUBU · 25/10/2006 23:25

Dic well done for no bread. I slipped today and had 2 hot cross buns. Back to no bread tomorrow.
Im going to get a pedometre tomorrow hopefully. It will be interesting to see how many steps I do. Hows everyones water intake? Anyone managed 2 litre?

MrsFish · 26/10/2006 08:20

I probably drink at least 2 litres of liquid a day, its just that its not plain water. If I do have water it has to have squash in it. Over the winter when it is more difficult to drink cold water, I have hot water with blackcurrant squash in it, very satisfying.

JUST weighed myself ..... Lost another 2 pound YIPEEEEEEE!
