Im jelous wish I had a beach near by. Me and ds just stayed in today. I put Mary Poppins on and he sat and whatched 40 mins of it in silence. He's only 13months old, I couldnt believe it. He really loved it. Feel abit lathargic and low on energy though from doing nothing all day. Ive only eaten 2 meals today as I woke up so late, but I feel like ive absolutly stuffed my face, I feel really full. Any ideas why that is?

sweetheart · 24/10/2006 19:07

loopity - go on, go tot he gym! I wish I was gonna be able to make it this week but with dh working late and the kids being home I just don't think I'll get there! I love my gym visits - it's just about the only time when it's just ME!

Dic - well done on resisting the fish and chips I'm mega impressed!

Food for today

Breakfast - 2 cups of tea
Lunch - half a small tub of popcorn and 1 very very small slice of cake and a diet coke
Dinner - Chilli and rice and a glass of squash

We are off swimming tomorrow which will probably be my only excercise (apart from netball which I go to every week)

Feeling pretty chuffed with myself for being good when the kids are home - just wish I was getting the excercise in too! Keep going everyone!

loopity · 24/10/2006 19:13

Just going to pack my gym kit - thanks for the nagging, just what I needed

Well done sweetheart you did well. How many points has popcorn got? What ww plan are you doing the 3 meals and as much fruit as you like in between one or the one were you get a certain amount of points a day?
I did the points one just after having ds, I think I did it for about 3weeks to kick start my diet. Works well. Couldn't be bothered to keep going though so just carried on dieting without doing the ww. I think I was aloud 22 points a day back then I used to use about 11 in a day so that Id lose weight fast.

MrsFish · 24/10/2006 19:31

Today

1/2 slice w/m toast and spread, 1/2 teacake and spread.

Loads of pineapple and melon.

3 homemade jam tarts, 3 biscuits.

2 cups of homemade vegetable soup. 2 cups of tea, 1 can of fanta zero, 1 litre of orange squash.

About to have dinner - sweet and sour pheasant with rice. Just resisted a glass of red wine.

Am feeling quite depressed again today, but I think that is down to the fact that I think I have ruined my week by picking, but actually counting up the cals, probably won't be too bad. Still feel like I failed though... ho hum

Tomorrow is another day, need to be mega good for the weigh in on thursday.. it hasn't half come round quick this week.

sweetheart · 24/10/2006 19:34

BlB - I've got no idea how many points the popcorn was as my sister has borrowed my book. I tend to follow the ww plan where I get 20 points a day. I haven't been to a meeting for over a year but I am still following the diet and loosing weight steadily - about 2.5 stone so far. By using the diet I have learned to eat better in general rather than diet IYSWIM!

lipsbite · 24/10/2006 19:44

just had a half a bar of BIG chocolate as feeling sorry for myself

dislexicicecream - well done on the skating bit. Be careful not to over do it! as it can cripple yer but well done though

well done sweetheart losing the weight

loopity - let us know how u got on with the gym kit!

MrsFish - start again tmrw as i think you've done well anyway

im sorry if i have left anyone else out as i cant concentrate on reading it all due to me being ill

BIGlilBUBU · 24/10/2006 19:55

Sweetheart dont you have to lose a point each stone you lose.?

sweetheart · 24/10/2006 19:57

I think thats about right yes - you drop your points by 2 after every 2 stone.

costababe · 24/10/2006 20:02

Hi, need to check in with food facts for today and yesterday..
Yesterday..
Brekie the usual apricot and apple

Dinner home made pie.. ham, onion, cheese an egg ( oh so lovely.. but it was a really small piece honestly.) two boiled pots and a small spoon of beans, glass of red wine

Today
Brekkie half slice of white toast and jam.. I havent had bread in about 6 days sorry!
Lunch we were out dp had a chilli pizza and I resisted it.. brownie points for me, I just had a small tomatoe and mozzarella salad, with water
Dinner small portion of spag bol, with a sprinkling of parmesan( it would be rude not to!), small glass of red wine.

Two days with no snacking!!
Thanks for the ideas for the lunch times.
Exercise.... theres a problem, just getting over back problems, three weeks worth of osteopath visits, so taking things easy
Monday... after your idea re tweenies me and ds2 did half hour dancing and singing, reat fun and a real mood lift. One hour of pruning and eeding in the garden.
Today... well dp and i went shopping looking for a suit for the wedding in 4 weeks( my motivation!) so does three hours poundin the pavement count?

MrsFish · 24/10/2006 20:11

Costababe - everything other than sitting on your arse counts, I wear a pedometer every day (trying to get these 10,000 steps a day in they keep talking about. Managed it yesterday, failed miserably today.

costababe · 24/10/2006 20:23

Do u get your steps in by doing anything special? or by doin the usual running around after everyone else... I must get one of these pedometer things I think it would be interesting to see how many steps I do just normally.

dislexicicecream · 24/10/2006 20:32

i have one, i was doing a weekly count thing on hear pedomiter club but one week they just stoped posting

i did my 10,000 steps today on the ice rink hehe i did altogever 16,000

MrsFish · 24/10/2006 21:01

Costababe - I just put it on first thing in the morning and take it off when I go to bed, so it is just general day to day stuff. Not been out anywhere today so only just managed 4000 steps which is very poor.

Adding up last weeks tally I walked about 30 miles during the week and burned off an extra 3500 calories which works out to a pound in weight.

costababe · 24/10/2006 21:07

Oh thats great Mrs Fish, I will try to do a bit more walking, dancing etc... Thursday weigh in looming...yikes!!

Wintersun · 25/10/2006 09:36

Can I join you please?
I want to lose about 7lbs in the next few weeks. (Would love to lose 14 but am being realistic!)

I also have a pedometer and am trying to do 10,000 steps a day plus 50 sit-ups.

I'm not following a particular diet but just cutting down and choosing healthier options.

loopity · 25/10/2006 09:52

Hi wintersun, welcome

Weigh-in is on a thurs and no particular diet plan being adhered to - mainly healthy eating and less snacking.

After all this chat about pedometers, think I might go get one for myself. Anyone recommend where to buy from?

OP posts:
Wintersun · 25/10/2006 10:01

I will weigh myself tomorrow for my start weight then.
I got my pedometer from work but I think Argos does them and prob sports shops.

I was really enlightened when I first used mine. I'm usually rushing around and busy and thought I was quite active. I realised that I was only doing 4-5000 steps a day thanks to the car!
I now try to go for a walk during the day. I'll walk around the park a couple of times and walk to the supermarket if I just need a pint of milk or something.

dislexicicecream · 25/10/2006 10:02

loop i bought mine from avon lol, but they do sell relly nice looking ones in maplins,
i am cooking the stewed apples and apricots my mouths watering at the smell. mmmmmm and my kids keep asking if there r hot cross buns cos they think it smells like then, am i doing it wright lol ?

MrsFish · 25/10/2006 10:08

I got mine from Boots - It tells you steps done, the amount in miles, calories used and it has a stop watch facility. I think it was £10-£15

dislexicicecream · 25/10/2006 10:21

hiy wintersun,
i think i talked to you b4 on the pedomiter thread?
so what r u all doing today?
i have a mate comming round to drill a hole in wall for my sky coax
then i need to go and bye some candles and apoligise to a man in a shop for basicly runng out when he was talking to me yesterday!
i couldnt help it lol.
its peeing it down with rain out side and windy as hell , so after that i will be home in the warm

loopity · 25/10/2006 10:25

Wintersun · 25/10/2006 10:39

Hi dislexicicecream.
Yes, we did talk on the pedometer thread. Shame no ones been posting on it lately.
I am doing laundry and housework this morning and then going over to a friends this afternoon.
I wanted to walk but the weather is bad. I'll see how it is this afternoon.

EmmyLou · 25/10/2006 11:23

Pedometer warning - mine fell off down the loo...
