I have had 4 pints of water, 3 mugs of green tea and a mug of Pukka Detox tea.

I feel more bloated now than I did this morning!

Pukka Detox is not working its magic for me. I haven't "been" since Sunday. I'm thinking this might be contributing to my massive weight gain.

3 years ago when I had dd I was so constipated I ended up with Glycerin suppositories. I think I may still have some. Do they go out of date do you think?

Souper · 02/09/2014 14:02

CatThief no I don't think they would go out of date. It's just like putting Vaseline up your bum, surely? Try one and let us know!

CatThiefKeith · 02/09/2014 14:14

Souper, I finish work at 5.30, but need to pick dd up from the next county so doubt I will be home much before 7.30.

Will update when I have done it though - I am desperate enough to try today! Grin

TheHoundsBitch · 02/09/2014 14:28

Sooo, my total loss on the 7 day cabbage soup diet is 9lb!
Not really sure what I'm doing today! I had coffee for breakfast and I've just had 90g smoked salmon, tbsp of chopped toasted hazelnuts and watercress and rocket with a tsp each of evoo and lemon juice, and a thick slice of cantaloupe. It was lush. I think I'm just going to keep to v. low calorie this week as I don't have the book or the right food in for Scarsdale. I think steak and veggies for dins :)
Well done everyone who's lost and guzzle that water Keith it's not possible to gain half a stone of fat in 2 days so it must be water retention - maybe try an epsom salt bath too?

TheHoundsBitch · 02/09/2014 14:31

OOh and I took my measurements yesterday (41.5-33-41.5) and will take them again at the end of September. I think this will be more important than my weight because I'm going to start weightlifting again next week, so hopefully my body shape will be changing and I will start gaining some muscles back.

CatThiefKeith · 02/09/2014 14:42

Where can I get Epsom salts THB?

CatThiefKeith · 02/09/2014 14:47

I've just ordered some from Ebay, they will be here next week, but i need some tonight ideally.

Do Holland and Barrett sell them?

coffeeinbed · 02/09/2014 14:52

Boots
Sainsbury's - ask in the pharmacy section

coffeeinbed · 02/09/2014 14:55

I just had a bit of chocolate and a banana.

Had a hellish case in work today.
One of these that stays with you forever.

Didn't have time for to weigh this morning, so will be good tonight and hope for the best tomorrow.

TheDietStartsTomorrow · 02/09/2014 15:03

TheHoundsBitch, well done you. For losing the weight and for sticking with it. Tell me, was is really awful? I want to do it at some point in the future but daren't ask any real life sensible people as they'd just wag their finger condescendingly.

Its 3pm and I still haven't had my fruit lunch. Totally famished. DH doesn't go into work til 4:30pm today so we were supposed to walk to the grocers. Ended up shagging in the conservatory instead and then he had to have his obligatory post shag snooze. I considered going myself but decided I didn't have the energy. If he doesn't pick some fruit up from the shops on the way back from the school run I'll faint from lack of banana...

WyrdByrd · 02/09/2014 15:11

At least you got some exercise Wink Grin

Matildasmam22 · 02/09/2014 15:14

Well done hounds iv had some cheese and ham. The amount of flood iv had taken should of knocked a couple of pounds of.

Found out it was a boy (which we knew anyway) no organ problems or chromosome problems but an infection in the placenta. The hospitals admitted blame. Not taking action though it was just human error. Plus the doctor who missed it was the doctor who saved my youngests life at 30 weeks.

Anyway back to the fun and unseriousness of my favourite thread Smile

flightywoman · 02/09/2014 15:19

It's only day two and I have already spectacularly failed at Slimtember!

Yesterday we came home from a week away and had lots of snack things to finish up, today I was out for lunch with a friend and I was going to try and be sensible, then fell into a cheese and bacon panino and a big bit of cheesecake. Sigh :(

I am supposed to be following Slimming World, but I need a quick boost to set me off - will Duncan From Blue do it for me I wonder?

And I am forswearing alcohol for a looooooooooong time, I've barely stopped all holidays, my liver is banging the canvas in submission...

TheHoundsBitch · 02/09/2014 16:06

The diet, thanks :) it wasn't bad honestly - you can eat loads of the soup and the allowed foods on each day are mostly unlimited too. It's a boring diet but it seems to do the job! I will probably do it again, but in a couple of weeks so I don't get scurvy! I'm very jealous of your daytime conservatory shag Envy Grin
Keith I got a little tub of ES at asda pharmacy.
matilda I'm glad you have some answers now Flowers

Itsfab · 02/09/2014 16:30

Flowers Matilda. I hope the results bring you a sense of peace. I understand about not wanting to bring action. Due to a botched section my subsequent baby and I nearly died. People said sue, sue, but given they also saved him - albeit not the person who botched things up but the hospital as a whole - it would have felt wrong to sue. Still bloody angry with the horrible midwives and terrible sewer upper though.

I am struggling a bit. Put an extra sprout in so I can have that while serving up the kids teas. Having fish and new potatoes later with DH.

Cocolepew · 02/09/2014 18:01

Hugs for Matilda.

This no carbs thing is shit. I cracked under the strain and had a rice cake covered in chocolate.

Remembered why I don't eat salads, lettuce hates me. Stomach pain and bloating, lovely.

Whole melon for breakfast, apple and orabge for break, salad if death and grapes for luch, rice cake, apple , bowl of cereal.

Victrix · 02/09/2014 18:06

Woo just knocked a neat 230 cals off my dinner by buying the wrong thing.

Had ordered microwavable quinoa but had picked a mixed grain one which was basically gluten.com, must pay more attention on next Tesco shop. So just had my lamb steak with veg.

WyrdByrd · 02/09/2014 18:36

Have managed the whole day at work on a glass of smoothie, nectarines, small bunch if grapes & hummus & crudites.

Was going to be tuna & salad for tea but have caved slightly and an doing Hairy Dieters chill & lemon tuna with broccoli spaghetti - a whole 50g of carbs.

The real struggle is not dipping a slice of bread into DD's Korma sauce Sad .

shinydog · 02/09/2014 18:41

Can I join you all?
I have come down from 17st to 14.5 so far, but it has been very up and down.
I am really desperate now to get down to a healthy weight, but can never seem to stick at anything (except drinking wine. I can do that really well!)

Itsfab · 02/09/2014 18:48

Don't do it WyrdBird. You will feel proud of yourself.

I am so tired today and no real idea why. I want to stuff my face to give me energy but I won't.

Welcome shinydog. Good luck Smile.

Victrix · 02/09/2014 18:48

shinydog I'm sure there was a wine diet on the first thread Grin

WyrdByrd · 02/09/2014 18:54

Well, I had a chunk of chicken in sauce...but did manage to steer clear of the bread at least.

TheHoundsBitch · 02/09/2014 19:01

Can someone remind me of the lemon steeping thing so I can have a poo please? Blush

WhatsGoingOnEh · 02/09/2014 19:03

I just completed a Diet Triumph. Eating 4 Birds Eye beef burgers (440 cals) and salad, while the rest of my thoughtless, cruel family chomped through some Pizza Hut Feed The Forty Thousand For A Fiver meal-deal.

I did cheat Confused by having a wedge of cantaloupe afterwards. I shouldn't cheat! Scarsdale works like MAGIC when you follow it properly. But I had a F&S first and only fruit today, so I'm hoping for good news tomorrow morning.

I'm going to do the lemon-steep! Sounds bloody BRILLIANT.
