...but I don't know what.

I am sick of being on a diet, off a diet, on another diet, off that diet to, ad infinitum.

I desperately need to lose the two stone I put on while pregnant four years ago, but I can't seem to stick to anything. I am currently falling off the slimming world wagon, having previously tried most things out there - WW, low carb in various guises, hypno, cal counting...

Not sure what I hope to gain from posting this. I am just so fed up of it all and so fed up of being fat and needed somewhere to rant.

As you were.

Checking in to say that I did actually weigh myself this weekend, and was around 12st4 so have lost over half a stone since my hospital weigh in Grin

So a very slow process if I hadn't even noticed.. I have also started shredding but I'm going for a slower version and doing every other day with some wii fit going on for the in between days to balance it out.

I have had a lovely weekend where I was able to have some treats and decent dinners while still keeping to my MFP target.

Feeling very positive, and just need to keep it up determined

cleanmachine · 01/09/2014 09:22

Hi everyone. Hoping to lose at least a few pounds by weigh in tomorrow. Fasting today as I messed up yesterday. Kids back at school tomorrow and I always do a week of favourite teas the first week back after holidays. It's lasagna tomorrow.

Today I'm having a cauliflower cheese ready meal and a pile of veg. Desperate to stay on track today. Good luck everyone. Remember it's weigh in tmrw so that should help us stay on track!

ChesterDrawers · 01/09/2014 09:43

Dieting has gone out the window this weekend as I've had a horrible cold and cough and have just eaten whatever I fancied - sadly not salads and veg, more like stodgy pasta dishes, cheese and chocolate. Oh and lager which was so nice on my sore throat.

Am feeling a bit better today so am going to have a fast day to try and undo some of the excess from the weekend. Will also fast on Wednesday and try to eat well on the other days. No point in getting back on low carb just yet as we've got friends over for dinner on Saturday and that WILL NOT be anything resembling healthy.

Not anticipating a loss tomorrow, but will face the music whatever the scales say.

Justwhatever sorry you're feeling bad. Take some paracetamol, have lots of water and some slightly sweetened strong tea to start off with.

Thanks Krakken. Just had my eyebrows threaded-that woke me up! Had to buy a Pret breakfast baguette though. I am an idiot. Well, all I can do is put it behind me and get on with things...

Justwhateverreally · 01/09/2014 11:47

Sorry you're feeling bad Mint. Let's hope we both wake up feeling positive tomorrow.

starsinthenight · 01/09/2014 12:16

Just - sorry to hear you've been poorly. Do what you can, when you can, tip you can get back in the zone. Every little helps.

Mint - poor you. That's how I was last week. It does (should) pass. Keep up the healthy eating, & resist the chocs if you can. Don't undo all of your hard work.

Just imagine ourselves in our party dresses come December !

RadioMusicola · 01/09/2014 14:13

Hello all!
Am joining too, Ta mint for already adding me to the spreadsheet. Grin

I have been following this for a few days now, using MPF which is brilliant.

Will have to pm you my first, accurate weight on Wednesday mint if that's ok and start from there.

CrumblyMumbly · 01/09/2014 14:27

Hello, another newbie. I have 2 stone to lose - have already lost 2 with Slimming World but am finding it hard to keep going and weight loss has slowed or stopped (and I am cheating too much). Have chucked out lots of my clothes so no going back! oh I'm 5'4" and 12st 4. We shall go to the ball at Christmas (tired of being the pumpkin!)

JeniJones · 01/09/2014 14:29

Mint so sorry your still feeling grotty. You will get better soon, just takes time. Thanks for keeping on top of the spreadsheet for all of us. Your amazing Flowers.

JeniJones · 01/09/2014 14:36

and Mint how lovely is your Mum....bless. We Mums are good like that Smile. My little girl is always surprised that I seem to say exactly what she is thinking as she is thinking it (if you know what I mean)...(shes 24).
Enjoy your early night and your book ( I love a book). Is it chic lit or something more higher brow?

Imliketotallyummm · 01/09/2014 14:42

Ah Mint, how lovely of your mum Smile Smile Hope you feel better soon.

tipp2chicago · 01/09/2014 16:59

Hi, could I join in please? I weighed myself last week at 208lb. I'm 5'4" so BMI of 35.7. I really want to get back to a healthy weight and be able to run around with DD. I'm MFPing and have spotted some serious problems at the weekends, but am off on holidays next week with the ILs so god only knows what will happen there. I'm thinking about starting Clean Eating/Whole 30 but the lack of dairy bothers me. The lack of grains doesn't really bother me. So, could I please be added to the spreadsheet?

AddictedtoCrunchies · 01/09/2014 17:26

So today's.my birthday and my last hurrah. I'm going to have a couple of glasses of wine tonight then I'm going for it from tomorrow.
I've done my grocery shop and my fruit bowl is full.
Feeling determined now, thanks to all you lovely ladies (? assume we are ladies. I am..Grin )
Mint I will post my starting weight on the Amazing Spreadsheet of Weightloss in the morning. Grin Grin

Krakken · 01/09/2014 17:32

Aw mint your mum is lovely!!
I didn't stick to a fast day in the end. I don't know why really. I could make all the excuses under the sun but really it comes down to a lack of willpower.
When the dcs are back at school, I'll find it easier to get into a routine. I've not over indulged. I didn't have breakfast, had an innocent Dahl pot thing. Had a couple of homemade biscuits and dinner is tandoori fish with veg rice.
I'm feeling tired but I'm sure that will change once I give up the sugar.

starsinthenight · 01/09/2014 17:34

Mint - hope you are doing OK.

Presume we all input our own amazing weight loss onto the amazing spreadsheet tomorrow, if we just follow the link? I can't imagine you want to be inputting for all of us every week. And will it automatically save our results once we exit?

My new best friend is my kitchen scales. Have been calorie counting with MFP & thought I had better weigh out a couple of things just to check. OMG. I've been in total denial about portion sizes too!

starsinthenight · 01/09/2014 17:38

Addicted - and a very happy birthday to you! According to Talk's mantra "Cake is for Birthdays" enjoy guilt free!

You will be running it off soon anyhow. When's your half marathon? Good luck with the last bits of training (still secretly gutted I can't do mine end of the month due to sore back .... in fact haven't been able to exercise the last 2 weeks at all, except take poor dog for a plod)

Stars my next half is this Sunday. Tapering this week and getting some carbs and protein on board. Smile
My mil has just told me she thinks I've lost weight Shock. I haven't but my skinny jeans have clearly pulled me in!!

antimatter · 01/09/2014 18:31

*starsinthenight8 - you need to find where to put your weight, type it and press return - spreadsheet will get saved that way

CrumblyMumbly · 01/09/2014 19:26

Have added myself to spreadsheet - good luck everyone!

Ledkr · 01/09/2014 19:46

What was the deketed post?

TalkinPeace · 01/09/2014 19:56

Tipp2chicago
start by stopping snacking
at all
ever
have meal times and drink plenty of water at the start of each meal (if nothing else to counteract holiday Wine )
but eat NOTHING other than at meal times

that way you still get to socialise, to enjoy the days
but start the "diet" without anybody noticing

sassytheFIRST · 01/09/2014 19:59

Weighing in now as I may not get time tomorrow.

11st 8lbs. 2lbs off. YayGrin

It's always easier to eat less when I'm at work. Inset day today and tomorrow (teacher) so once the routine starts properly on weds.

Good luck with weigh ins everyone else.
