In a panic. Was meant to start diet in May but one thing (or rather, one pizza) led to another and now I've got less than a week.

I'm 5'6" and look great at 9st 7. This morning I was 10st 11! Shiiiiiiiit!

What can I do? I really REALLY need to crash some of this off. I don't care if it's unhealthy, it's only for a few days and I can do it properly when I get home.

Any and all ideas MASSIVELY gratefully received. What are your tried and tested tricks? Thank you!

I really am the only person not to lose any weight SadBlushSadBlush

3 days of tesco ultra slim shakes and light dinners- 2lb off already! Woo!

BreakingBod · 25/08/2014 10:30

Itsfab I know it's majorly disheartening, but you need to pick a crazy plan, and stick with it for a while, say a full week, and you're bound to lose some poundage.

That's encouraging Victrix, how have you found it so far?

Itsfab · 25/08/2014 10:40

I'm in Asda. Which tea? Nine say slim. Nearest is detox, purify or digest

Kelly1814 · 25/08/2014 10:47

WhatsGoingOnEh that's amazing! what a triumph! saved from the jaws of fatty defeat!!!!!!

i'm not really losing any weight. i have about half a stone to go. i have succumbed to marketing and bought this: www.nutribullet.com/

everything i've made so far tastes like shit. i still drink it.

the upside is that i then feel too sick to eat anything and am put off food for a few hours.

my real issue is booze. i'm climbing on the wagon tonight....

coffeeinbed · 25/08/2014 10:52

Purify will make you per
Digest will make you poo.

Hello Fast and Furiousers. Some encouraging stats here. Itsfab, don't lose heart.

I'm back on Friday which will be my weigh in. I'll be surprised if I'm not tipping 10 stone. Alioli, pistachios, etc diet has continued. I did manage a run but so hot.

I'm seriously thinking of doing the James Duncan diet to kick start the loss of poundage. Or the one mentioned at 24 in the comments section as it seems more varied. I'm linking here for any newcomers. Scroll down for comments. www.jaduncan.com/2006/04/how-i-lost-stone-in-week.html?m=1

I've had the grave misfortune Grin to get talking to a Sports Science Nutritionist/Therapist on hols. She was talking about carbs and said that for every 1g of carbs consumed, your body has to find 5g of fluid. So dropping carbs drops weight super fast. Told me to forget about exercising it off (hurrah) as I'd have to run for hundreds of miles to make a difference but use exercise to maintain weight once loss achieved. I really wanted to tell her about this thread but feared she'd faint clean away.

I have another Fast and Furious tip. Woke up on Friday with a cold sore on my lip. Oh the horror. I googled how to get it to heal fast. Loads of posts suggesting the liberal application of nail varnish remover. Yes, I know, bonkers, won't it hurt (yes). Well, it has worked as it's almost gone. Who knew!

Chin chin everyone.

My internet was rubbish so I had to decide, I was sure they were going to ask me why I was spending so long looking at tea and then walking off only to return later Hmm. I bought Purify. I hate tea so what do I do or have I just bought the wrong one? Confused

Home to find DH has taken the boys out Sad. They will have a great time but I didn't know they were going out.

I have bought stuff to make soups - spring onion. mushroom and sweetcorn. Spring onion is yummy but I thinking the mushrooms are less likely to keep for more than a day or so so will make that then clean the house.

foxinthebox · 25/08/2014 15:03

Itsfab. Try avoid making a really watery soup. Make something thick and hearty to fill you up. You need loads of veg in it, it does help.

I have lost 5.5lbs in 8 days. I am ecstatic. I hope to get to 7lbs by the weekend.

The reason why I am so happy is that my BMI is now 29.3. I AM NO LONGER A SIZE 18 nor I am officially obese!!

I now have a beady eye on a beady eye of 23. Before christmas as can't sustain this level of starvation for that long..

PrimalLass · 25/08/2014 15:13

Well done foxinthebox.

I'm not sure the chicken I had for lunch was OK Hmm It didn't smell 100% ok but I cooked it for ages.

Itsfab · 25/08/2014 15:14

I have been so busy, just sat down.

Got home and put all the shopping away, painted the kitchen after dusting and de-spidering, hoovered and mopped the floor, unloaded and loaded the dishwasher, made mushroom soup (didn't blend it or add cream), ate one raw mushroom, ate 4 small fruit and nut squares, hoovered hall way. cleaned bathroom included wiping floor on my hands and knees, tided various bits of stuff away, put on 3 wash loads, tided more bits away, sorted out DS2's uniform and shoes, stuck in some recipes to my book, made curry for dinner (planned before), ate a small bowl of mushroom soup with half a slice of home made bread, drunk water all throughout, boys home, sat down.

Surely that has burnt off at least 4 calories???

PrimalLass · 25/08/2014 15:14

Itsfab. I watched something eons ago about how blended soup keeps you full up for longer than stock + lumps of veg.

Itsfab · 25/08/2014 15:18

Well done foxinabox. I remember the great feeling when I was no longer obese. Not that I knew I was Blush.

Home you are okay PrimalLass but if not, food poisoning = weight off?!

In other news, DS2 informs me BoyCat is 17 inches long Grin.

foxinthebox · 25/08/2014 15:19

Why not put chicken or beef in the soup and drop the choc Itsfab, it'll really help the weight drop off!

Itsfab · 25/08/2014 15:27

I will probably blend the rest, PrimalLass. It is best not to blend when it is hot and as it was, it was hours before I ate it so it was luke warm barely anyway.

Itsfab · 25/08/2014 15:36

The chocolate was just to finish it. None in the house now. The chicken has all gone in the curry.

Any advice about the tea? What it will achieve and when to have it?

Are you all just eating less or following an actual plan as I am a little confused?

Drinking lots of water.

Will be able to plan better once kids back at school and been paid again. Currently trying to use up a lot of what is in the house as I buy far too much food.

foxinthebox · 25/08/2014 15:44

Well done, itsfab.

I am doing a random, haphazard diet; eating less, an occasional cup of tea (one every couple of days) and barely any carbs. I am constantly starving and am losing the will to live.

So far today i had a baked egg and spinach; a homemade salad with some smoked salmon fillet, an apple and tonight i will have some home made chicken pasta sauce with 10 spirals of fusilli, so more of a soup really and a massive side of brocolli. DH will eat normally.

I have also swum 1.5km.

foxinthebox · 25/08/2014 15:45

and i am FORSAKING BOOZE. It is fucking miserable.

Itsfab · 25/08/2014 15:55

I don't mind not having booze. Apart from some the other night and one a couple of months ago I haven't drunk any in ages as it wasn't worth the calories for me, plus I think one of us should stay sober when we have young children and DH likes his drink more than me. I would rather have crisps anyway.

foxinthebox · 25/08/2014 16:18

300 calories in half a bottle of wine. That's my dinner sorted. I am cracking....

Itsfab · 25/08/2014 16:35

Hang in there fox. Have some water.

BreakingBod · 25/08/2014 17:40

I hear ya fox, I've had the most miserable Bank Holiday Monday in living memory..! Maybe healthy eating and exercise isn't such a crazy idea afterall... Shock

coffeeinbed · 25/08/2014 17:46

Make some mint tea fox.

I really don't feel like having wine after a cup or two.

You are all fab, I may have found a spiritual home.

I am currently trying to lose a stone and a half, I tried healthy eating and moderate exercise for six months and it did fuck all.

I now eat no grains, have two protein shakes (226 calories each) and some cheese, butter, yoghurt, fruit and veg. I have lost 11lb in about five weeks, so not great but better :)

I would probably have lost more but occasionally I crash and burn and eat total shit.

Can anyone make me stop eating crisps?

Itsfab · 25/08/2014 18:01

STOP EATING CRISPS!!!

Tea, anyone?
