How can I lose 10lbs before my holiday on, er, Monday?

In a panic. Was meant to start diet in May but one thing (or rather, one pizza) led to another and now I've got less than a week.

I'm 5'6" and look great at 9st 7. This morning I was 10st 11! Shiiiiiiiit!

What can I do? I really REALLY need to crash some of this off. I don't care if it's unhealthy, it's only for a few days and I can do it properly when I get home.

Any and all ideas MASSIVELY gratefully received. What are your tried and tested tricks? Thank you!

I am 11.9 today. And I am wearing my 'thin jeans'. I haven't been able to do them up for two years! They are a bit tight, but the buggers are on.Smile

Dress still doesn't do up though. If I can get down to 10.6 I will be a 10, or at least I was a 10 last time I weighed that much 10 years ago.

I fit into a warehouse dress yesterday in a size smaller than usual!!

On the flip side - 3lbs back on - each of the following obviously equates a lb each:

half portion pizza
half portion pasta
3 cocktails

Bastards. Scales into retirement for a week until the dreaded post-holiday weigh in. I will be running whilst on hols (saddo emoticon) so if I can stay the same, I'd be very happy.

Will look slimmer with a tan anyway....right?!

Go catthief and mutha. I'm in my fat skinny jeans still it'll be a while/miracle if I get in my thinner skinny jeans!
I've blended the soup so it was slightly less minging. I've eaten some raw carrot and drank loads of iced water. All whilst preparing lovely nice food for the family. I'm a saint! Haha

Afternoon all. Just checking in. I live overseas so no shitters tea. I am however investigating the tea aisle at length to see if we have an alternative.

Top tip: when you are really really really hungry, have a small glass of ice cold skimmed milk. Try to sip it rather than gulp down like a pig at a trough (my usual style). It fills you up quite nicely, has good stuff in it. Not many cals.

Did anyone else see the story about the woman who fed her daughter tape worms so she could be thin for a beauty contest.....there's an idea!!!!

CatThief has reminded me of something, I can not remember the science behind it but you are more likely to lose weight if you drink your food than eat it. Something to do with when you eat your body knows you are eating and stores it whereas a drink - ie soup - is just a drink. I really can't remember it properly as you can see.

Plan to weigh tomorrow when AF has bogged off.

Not hopeful given I have had crisps, a M&S curry and 2 southern comforts and lemonade this weekend [hmm[. I will be having fresh bread in about 20 minutes when it is ready tooHmm.

I was just looking at weird diet crazes on MyFitnessPal and liked the sound of this post by someone:

"The 750 cal a day diet (Invention of my own oh so many years ago...lol)... I needed to lose 30 pounds in 30 days when I was in the Marines... (Longer story, wont bore you...)... So I decided that 2 hard boiled eggs for breakfast, a hot dog for lunch and a McDonald's hamburger happy meal with diet coke for dinner was good... Oh and all the diet pepsi I wanted... Needless to say I did lose the weight... But plenty of days I had to stop and sit down or id pass out... Crazy!!"

That sounds like quite an inviting day's menu - I've had a bowl of soup and 2 diet coke's so far today...

Actually the whole thread is turning out to be quite inspiring - it's entitled 'What's the most ridiculous diet you've heard of?'. The MFP forums are totally chocka with sensible types who like to tell you you're not eating the correct 'macros' etc, they'd totally love this thread Grin

Well I am now on holiday, eating wise doing ok, and after a day on the beach and a walk I went for a run. Fuck me Wales is hilly, anyway I ran for 40 mins and then did some stretching and toning exercises. My thighs ache, I had better be losing weight, no scales on holiday though.

I have decided due to a huge diet fuck up tonight that I am doing my own version of the 5:2 called the 6:1. 6 Days of diet coke and 600 cals. And on Sunday nights I will eat bread, like a duck. Rip it up and throw it to me.

I do a fab soup for 5:2 nights. Basically you boil up leeks and some root ginger in stock (ok in water then) and zap it. When you hate the very thought of this soup (week two) you do the same with red peppers and a tin of tomatoes, with coriander seeds.

Repeat until insane with boredom, then break down and eat chocolate.

I'm loving this thread.

I've been checking out the full and slim sachets at Boots. They have a message online that they may have supply issues with this product at the current time, I wonder if that's a result of mnetters rushing out to buy.

I'm thinking I may give it a try.

I don't bother with breakfast, but do have a piece of fruit a breaktime. I have a low cal lunch and am not tempted to over indulge (don't have the time or opportunity either) so it's the evening meal and the snacking that are to blame.

If I neck one of those sachets after leaving work, while making dinner I plan to eat a bit less and then not be tempted to snack. Hopefully.

I've just come back from a wedding weekend. It was calorie carnage - I won't list what I ate/drank but suffice to say, I'm expecting to be back at 10st 13 tomorrow.

But I'm back on the diet tomorrow too, so it's fine.

ShitterTea update: Pukka Detox tea is MUCH more powerful than SlimMe. Jeeeeeezus. Don't drink that before a long journey on the M25.

I was reading Helen Gurley Brown's "Having It All" book on Friday, and she cited research on why crash diets are NOT bad for you, and nor do they lead to your piling the weight back on. I'll quote the full info tomorrow. It's good, inspiring.

I'm so proud of you all for getting into your skinny jeans! I have good clothing news too. I bought a catsuit on Saturday, and it's a size 10. BOOM. Fits perfectly. Are Wallis renowned for vanity sizing?

Hi all, I'm drunk and at a barbecue - today is not a good diet day.

I bought Slim me tea from tesco a couple of days ago full of hope - it is shit. (Or not - depends how you look at it). I'm awaiting my delivery of full-fledged shitter tea (4 days apparently).

It's fab - don't think that you are going unnoticed! I have noticed your departure from the Shred thread, you can run but you can't hide Wink

Right, I am NEVER going to weigh into the 12's again. To kick off the week I'm having an eggs day. I've done the Commando Diet a couple of times before and day one is three eggs per meal for three meals and nothing else.

Can I lose another half stone in week two?

5:2 is not working for me at the mo. I'm ok until about 4pm then I dive into anything with sugar. Plus I totally lost my rag with the kids on Friday - hunger related.

So, am on a Dulkn/Atkins/whatever style low-carb binge this week. Waiting for my boiled eggs, which I will mash up with butter.

11.5 this morning Sad, but I think it is TOTM. Hope to be a lb lighter tomorrow if I am heavier it will be a different crash diet tomorrow

Snogs Fuckalella - Yep, I left Shred as I felt got at Sad.

I am blaming the 5:2 for the fact I can not lose anything no matter what I do. I got used to eating less and it seems to not be enough now.

Anyway, exciting morning. I get to weigh myself as AF has pretty much gone. Bound to loose weight someone said as I have stayed the same through the first days of AF.

Drum roll - Flipping weight ON. 0.8lbs isn't much, granted, but ffs my first ever period where I didn't eat chocolate every day and I still don't bloody well loose weight. If I wasn't so tired I would cry. What's a flipping girl supposed to do to lose some bloody weight.

Off to Asda to buy soup ingredients. Any tips for eat/drink this and lose 2 stone would be amazing.
