How can I lose 10lbs before my holiday on, er, Monday?

In a panic. Was meant to start diet in May but one thing (or rather, one pizza) led to another and now I've got less than a week.

I'm 5'6" and look great at 9st 7. This morning I was 10st 11! Shiiiiiiiit!

What can I do? I really REALLY need to crash some of this off. I don't care if it's unhealthy, it's only for a few days and I can do it properly when I get home.

Any and all ideas MASSIVELY gratefully received. What are your tried and tested tricks? Thank you!

I'm going low carb, I eat gluten free anyway most of the time so no oatcakes, gf crackers/bread, biscuits. No rice or potatoes.

Going to eat loads of fruit, I shall be shitting through the eye of a needle in no time.

Oh and no chocolate or refined sugar

I'M READY!!

I'm sticking with low cal as it suits me, came in at 820cals today and felt smug when mfp told me off for not eating enough.

See you all on the exciting new thread!!!!!!!

Wyrd, that's what I'm going to try and do, but if I try and go as low as 500 cals I crack and eat over what I want to.

Non disaster days -
No breakfast
Salad, fruit, possible cereal bar (but going to try and drop the cereal bar habit)- 200 - 300 cals.
Dinner - 400 cals max
Cereal bar when starving mid-evening - 200.

Mon disaster and Wed disaster - break and lunch as above then meal out.
Thurs disaster no lunch and dinner, just the afternoon tea.

Blimey you lot!
What do you all keep in your freezers?

Mine is completely innocent of all this.
Squirrel was in my bed.
I ought to NC.

The lentil doup is making a reappearance in wind form .
I might not bother taking it into work tomorrow.

2kids could you do a version of 5:2 - eat what you want on the foody days and next to nothing on the rest?

Forgot that when I was in Tesco I was eyeing up the herbal teas and the woman in front of me was looking at 'Slim Me' teabags. I nearly asked her whether she was a Mumsnetter Grin .

Bought some of them anyway - don't think they are the same as shitter tea but have ginseng, green tea, cinnamon & acai berry in them so lots of antioxidants.

I'm being sabotaged on my diet before it begins!

Work will provide a buffet style lunch for the 2 training days. Not too bad.

I'm out for dinner with a friend tomorrow.... steak and chips will be consumed, as will a pudding as they are too delicious to resist.

It's my 20th anniversary on Wed so DH will probably want to go out for dinner to celebrate.

Thurs is my Mum's birthday and my sister and I are taking her for afternoon tea to a place that gives you a few sandwiches, a scone with cream and loads of cake. Yum, but disaster.

Soooo..... I'm tempted by the slim and full sachets for the non-diet-disaster days. And I'm sticking to as low as I can on the other days this week.

Hmm

I'm starting the stronglifts 5x5 programme soon if anyone else likes lifting heavy things and wants to be my virtual buddy? I haven't lifted for nearly a year so I'm very out of shape but I'm feeling the urge again now...

Tummy is making some seriously fucked up noises tonight Confused glad DH is at football/pub all night! Shock

Squirrel & horse? Now I'm fantasizing about kangaroo steaks!

Did big shop for next week in Tesco as it's near the Olds who we were visiting today - nearly had a heart attack after several weeks of using Lidl.

Innocent Smoothies for breakfast, bought chickpeas, lemon & garlic to make hummus and what seems like 1 of every single item in the fruit & veg aisle. Also a can of mixed bean to make tuna & bean salad in case I get bored of hummus.

Dinners for the week.

Lamb leg steaks with cauliflower, carrots & green beans
Chilli & Lemon tuna & salad
Ginger chicken & salad or veg
Sticky ginger salmon & stir fry veg
Grilled steak & roasted Mediterranean veg
Mojito chicken, sweet potato wedges & salad.

Down to the gym tomorrow morning to weigh in - am anticipating coming in at around the 17st mark Blush Sad .

Like GobblersKnob my plan is to eat as little as possible, been coming in at around 800 calories last week.
We have tickets for the theatre in 2 weeks and want to lose (at least) 7 lbs by then. The posh-frock is for January,

Had I read about the squirrel earlier, I could have defrosted the one in the freezer as a last supper! :)
I am so hungry waiting for dinner that I fell in love with the idea of the 'cavalo nero', TheHounds. I first read it as cavallo nero (black horse) instead of cavolo and now I want horse. Grin

I was also in Ikea yesterday! Three of us, what are the chances Grin for no explicable reason I have eaten like shit for the last three days, maybe because I knew Slimtember was hiding just around the corner.

I am braced and ready, my plan? Eat Very Very Little, bound to be a winner.

I had roast chicken cavalo nero and broccoli for dinner, it was soooo yummy! I had a bit of the roasting juices over the top (which probably isn't allowed) and loads of salt and pepper on it. Brown rice and veggies tomorrow - gonna make stirfry with loads of ginger and chili.
I'm looking forward to my weigh in on Tuesday morning when I will have done the full 7 day cabbage soup diet. Come on 10lb!
Chuffed you like the title what's! Blush Grin

Been sitting here worrying that I can't find my Scarsdale book and I cant be bothered to get off my fat arse to find it. Not a good start. ..

But hey Whatsgoing, you're really prepared and motivated. I really like your ideas so I'm going to be a copy cat, heave myself off the sofa in 30 mins and make myself a workout corner in my bedroom, hang a pair if gym clothes on the back of the door and get a wallchart made to motivate, log and plan. I've also set myself a target of Oct 20th to get myself back into a size 10 which is when my DH will return home after a month away from home. Super ambitious maybe, as I know from previous experience that I tend to drop one dress size per stone lost. I used to be a comfortable size I. I now just about squeeze my ginormous backside into a 14.

Any more tips and hints keep them coning please.

I am ready to go!! Tesco guy has delivered all my crazy fruit and veg and tomorrow I start my three day Jason Vale juice detox! It claims 5lbs in 3 days and am hoping it will motivate me. So in light of the above, can I have clearance to have cheese on toast for tea?
