winnie · 10/08/2006 08:25

goodmorning everyone, good luck this week

JackieNo · 10/08/2006 08:44

Hi everyone - looks like we had a mostly OK week - and flutterbee - wow! Fab loss! Keep it up - you'll inspire us too .

Littlefish · 10/08/2006 09:16

WWB are you planning to come to Oxford on Friday? Can I help with a lift from a train station somewhere near us?

coppertop · 10/08/2006 09:23

Well done, Flutterbee!

I'm determined to break the pattern I seem to have at the moment where I lose 2 or 3lbs one week, stay the same the following week and then put a pound back on the following week.

suejonez · 10/08/2006 11:37

I think litlebitshy is away at a church thingie and hasn't been scared off by me! She texted me yesterday.

suejonez · 10/08/2006 11:38

flutterbee - aren;t you glad we talked you into weighing now! Well done, all that wlaking has certinaly set you off on a good start.

fluttergandhibee · 10/08/2006 12:31

Aaahhh thanks ladies, but I moust draw your attention to the fact that when I weighed myself on Sunday I had eaten half of the worlds food mountain prior to the diet starting si I probably weighed a few pounds heavier than normal.

Fingers crossed for a good week next week as that will be my first proper weigh in

Now all of you MUST get over to the Xmas meet up thread and sign on for it, I am going and it is going to help me drop a few pounds as an incentive. You must all come it will be great fun.

BIGMOFOS NEEDS YOU!!!!!!!

suejonez · 10/08/2006 12:37

Even if you were 2 or 3 pounds heavier due to the extra food ballast, that still a great start in 4 days and shows you are really getting into the spirit of things. Even if a lot of early weight loss is water, I like to think of it a natures way of motivating us!

suejonez · 10/08/2006 12:38

I won;t be able to commit to the Xmas meet-up until much closer to the date as I don;t know when I'll be travelling for my adoption. But might be brave and go if I'm around.

suejonez · 10/08/2006 12:38

WWB can you come to Oxford next week?

RenegadeFauve · 10/08/2006 12:52

Hi Flutterbee, your post has reminded me that I used last year's Xmas meet-up as motivation to drop a few pounds, and it did work. Congrats on last week!

MrsJohnCusack · 10/08/2006 12:53

I would come to the Christmas meet up except I won't live here any more

well done Flutterbee!

WigWamBam · 10/08/2006 12:57

I don't think I can make it next week. I've been trying to work something out so that I could, but I can't. I'm so sorry, I was really looking forward to meeting you all.

You'll have a lovely time anyway ... and it will give you someone to gossip about

OP posts:
suejonez · 10/08/2006 12:58

could we do a video link?!

WigWamBam · 10/08/2006 13:01

You don't need to see my ugly mug while you're trying to eat your sandwiches! Particularly not over a video link ... not the most flattering photography in the world

OP posts:
suejonez · 10/08/2006 13:12

I'd love to see your mug (ugly or otherwise) over my low fat sandwiches. I don't have an "attractive people only" policy! IME you stop seeing what someone looks like once you know them and just see them IYKWIM. And that all sounds like I think you look like the back of a bus! Which I don't

WigWamBam · 10/08/2006 13:15

Front end of a bus maybe

I'm still trying to work something out that would mean I could come so I may well end up sharing low-fat sandwiches with you all yet. It's just not looking likely right now.

suejonez · 10/08/2006 13:17

I'll keep my fingers crossed - you will be so p'd off if some of us meet and you're not there - you know you will...

WigWamBam · 10/08/2006 13:25

Damned right I will

OP posts:
fluttergandhibee · 10/08/2006 13:31

Well I hope you have a lovely time at the meet up, I'm not at all. Just too far away for me.

Can't wait for the Xmas meet up now I have put my name down, next time I am out walking I shall be thinking about shaking my (much smaller) booty on the dance floor and hopefully walk that little bit further.

lemonaid · 10/08/2006 16:24

My sister came round and tempted me to pizza last night . But I did eat significantly less of it than I would normally have done AND I have just got back on with the diet today rather than emotionally beating myself up in an orgy of remorse and self-loathing while eating the contents of my fridge. So I think on balance it may be a good thing .

lemonaid · 10/08/2006 16:25

P.S. Huzzah for flutterbee!
