Well done magentastardust.

I think I have stopped viewing the slip ups as slip ups and just part of every day life. There will always be birthdays that require you to have cake and wine, nights out with friends and meals with family etc... I think you should enjoy them and stick with the healthy choices the rest of the time. That way it doesn't feel like a punishment.

I bought a size 14 jeans rather than a 16 on the weekend which was nice. They look great Grin

Start weight: 14st 5lbs
Today: 13st 0.5lbs
Weight lost this week: 1.5lb
Weight lost total: 18.5lb

magentastardust · 02/04/2014 23:46

Well done thumbs! I bet getting into smaller Jeans felt great :)

slimsoon · 07/04/2014 12:12

I have hit a big plateau. Nothing is shifting so I have upped the exercise and cut the dairy. I am still off all sugar and bread, rice, pasta and potatoes.
Back to eggs for breakfast, homemade soup or salad for lunches and meat and vege for supper.

I am still ploughing away! 1lb loss this week-22lbs down beginning to get slightly stressed that it is only 13 weeks until I have to wear a swim suit!

Walked 18000 steps today though so chuffed about that! Where is everyone else?

slimsoon · 11/04/2014 13:43

Great stuff magenta .
I have lost the same amount as you.
Which , even though it feels slow ,is ahead of our goal.

great stuff Slimsoon. I have started taking a selfie and measurements every month-its good motivation to look back on to see the difference.

lets keep going-summer is on its way -there will be flesh to bare!Wink

Gogogodaddy · 14/04/2014 10:54

Hello, please may I join? I don't have scales at home or a full length mirror and my god it makes a difference! (That's my excuse anyway!). I visited family yesterday and weighed myself. I am 50lb heavier than when I met my husband 4 years ago. We have 2 DC, one of whom is a dreadful sleeper and I am just exhausted by the end of the day. Bad excuse I know.
I would really like to have lost 50lb by this time next year. I guess I need scales first!

Gogogodaddy · 14/04/2014 15:32

Got the scales.
15st 6lb. My target weight is 11st 7lb.
It is going to be a long year!

slimsoon · 17/04/2014 18:47

Quite excited today as I bought a dress and a swimsuit to wear at the weekend.
For the past few years I have had panic attacks shopping and just bought huge sizes on ebay and had them taken in.
My friend told me all my clothes are too big and she was right. I reckon I have dropped two sizes on the bottom and one in the boobs . Its the first time for years I have had a costume without control bits.
Chuffed.

Hiya, sorry I disappeared for a couple of weeks. Since I was last here I have had to get through DD turning 3, leaving my job, moving house, Easter and no internet for 10 days.

Welcome Gogogodaddy, how's it going?

JToTheCToTheCrisTotheT · 30/04/2014 20:49

OpposableThumbs · 07/05/2014 14:40

Welcome JToTheCToTheCrisTotheT. As you have probably noticed, it's a bit quiet here. Posting here every week is helping me though so I will continue to do so.

Start weight: 14st 5lbs
Today: 12st 11lbs
Weight lost this week: 0.5lb
Weight lost total: 22lb

18 weeks in and I am still ahead of my aim, feeling quite pleased about this. I'm off on holiday in 5 weeks so I would like to hit the 2 stone mark by then. 6lbs in 5 weeks should be alright I reckon.

Tansie · 13/05/2014 09:01

I am beginning to see 1lb a week as an achievable goal.

I drew myself a graph (I'm like that!) where I put in my start weight (12/6- I'm 5'6") then picked 2 important goal-dates; a wedding which was 11 weeks away, and a summer holiday, another 6 weeks after that. I decided my line-in-the-sand would be 'just under 11 stone' i.e. once I'd got to below 11 stone I'd go back on a stricter WOE if my weight crept up above 11 stone. This also represents a BMI of 24.9 for me.

My first goal date meant a loss of 1.8 lbs a week to achieve the 'under 11 stone' by the wedding; the second goal date meant a loss of 1.6lbs a week to get to that 'under 11 stone' by the holiday. I also drew a third line which was a steady 1 lb a week loss.

What I have found is that currently I'm 'on' the '1.6lb a week loss' line but it's been up and not-much-down over the 6ish weeks I've been losing! But it's stayed under the '1 lb a week' line which I'm happy about. I'm aware that as I haven't got a vast amount to lose that I'd be unlikely to be able to keep losing 1.6lbs a week for 5 or 6 more weeks til the wedding (where I'd be 11/2) and wonder how sustainable the willpower needed to maintain this loss would be.

I'm mindfully eating and fast walking (4.2mph) 2 miles every day on a treadmill.

Start weight: 14st 5lbs

Weight lost total: 22.5lb

OpposableThumbs · 21/05/2014 07:47

Is anybody still here?

I need to up my efforts to lose another 4.5lb by holiday time in 3 weeks.

Start weight: 14st 5lbs
Today: 12st 9.5lbs
Weight lost this week: 1lb
Weight lost total: 23.5lb

Tansie · 24/05/2014 15:43

Well done Opposable!

4.5lbs is entirely doable, and 3 weeks is a good period of time to 'get your head around'.

OpposableThumbs · 28/05/2014 06:53

Thanks Tansie, although we are now 4lb in 2 weeks. Also doable but not unless I start making an effort!

Start weight: 14st 5lbs
Today: 12st 9.0lbs
Weight lost this week: 0.5lb
Weight lost total: 24lb

slimsoon · 29/05/2014 11:16

Well done slimsoon! Enjoy your holiday!

Tansie · 30/05/2014 10:28

Well done, bet it's the best feeling!

OpposableThumbs · 04/06/2014 07:03

I made an effort this week so still on target for holiday.

Start weight: 14st 5lbs
Today: 12st 6.5lbs
Weight lost this week: 2.5lb
Weight lost total: 26.5lb

Tansie · 04/06/2014 08:07

Keeping up a 2.5lb a week weight-loss is very impressive! Well done to you! I plateau'ed at 11/7 for 10 days but yesterday finally managed 11/6 which is a stone down from where I started 2 months ago which I'm very pleased about, too! However, I 'celebrated' with the best part of a bottle of vino Blush Grin- THAT'LL have to stop!
