Well done everyone on your losses!

I'm a bit grumpy today - after losing 8kg in 2weeks I lost nothing this week although my hips and waist are both 2cm down. I'm just finishing TOTM and have a stinking cold. Can I blame that?

Will keep going though. Just not going to be as quick as I hoped...

IndecisivePramBuyer81 · 26/01/2014 10:30

I don't really understand how it's possible to lose inches but not pounds (unless exercising and building muscle?) but have been warned to expect it! TOTM can definitely be blamed!

Personally, I'm more concerned about my measurements and how I look than what the scales say (or at least I will be when I'm closer to target!) so am keeping that in mind for when the inevitable happens!

IndecisivePramBuyer81 · 26/01/2014 10:30

8kg in 2 wks is awesome Grin

Mrs Bradfield I would be interested to hear how you find Exante compared to slim and save as I am currently doing slim and save but got 2 weeks of exante in the Groupon deal. Do you feel any hungrier having 4 packs instead of three?

Day 6 for me now. Had a sneaky weigh in this morning and have lost 8lb! I know it's the first week and it's all water etc but pretty pleased with that. Still really hungry though.

MrsBradfield · 26/01/2014 11:24

lemontop I should have my exante order tomorrow, I have been doing 4 packs on s & s and dropping to 3 on exante, (bar, shake and meal) as since have been in ketosis, have been struggling to have 4 packs a day, but have been having some optional veg in eve instead of a 4th pack. Will let you know!

Snoutthematter · 26/01/2014 11:43

I've got mainly shakes and those meal packs. I've gone easy on the bars as I know there will be a temptation to eat too many of those in a day! However, they have given me 5 free as a January promotion - eeekkk!!

Quite excited to get started now!

lemontop · 26/01/2014 12:54

Good luch Snout. I'm doing s&s too.

Cheesyslice · 26/01/2014 14:53

Having another good day here. Just been to Portsmouth to Jamie's Italian for lunch and resisted - ordered some seasonal veg without the butter and had that with a cup of tea and a bar. Dh and DS had amazing mains and then shared a big fuck off brownie Angry

Weigh in tomorrow. Desperately hoping to have a one lb loss but would be happy with staying the same after my extravagance earlier in the week.

I'm staying in London overnight with the girls tomorrow and we're eating out. Already agreed I'm eating 'real food' but have to find somewhere I can have chicken salad or something similar! No more than one glass of wine either. .don't want to undo all the hard work on one night!

Cheesyslice · 26/01/2014 19:03

pram Having been there and done that, I would really try and avoid the wine if you can. If you're strong enough to have just one glass and then resist the temptation to eat more than you should because the wine goes straight to you head I am not that strong then go for it. However, I always find that as soon as I have one glass of whatever my willpower instantly disappears and the whole evening is a write off.

I am so fecking bloated this evening...just had to take a peppermint oil capsule. Has anyone else taken these? I find they help with wind (ahem) and also give me minty fresh burps Blush

I've been told I'll be wrecked and also probably be ill if I drink too much but also didn't want to be miserable and sober! I do have a pregnant friend I can buddy up with though!

IndecisivePramBuyer81 · 26/01/2014 19:51

I had really bad bloating when I was pregnant and peppermint capsules did nothing Sad it was bloating like I'd never experienced before or since though! I found ginger tablets were the only thing that worked!

Cheesyslice · 26/01/2014 19:59

Pregnant friends are useful! Grin

I might try ginger. Thanks for the tip.

I am so happy and feel that the week of hell was completely worth it and I feel so much better already

I'm looking forward to my next weigh in even though I know it won't be as much as the first week. Grin

30SecondsToVenus · 26/01/2014 20:59

Should probably add that the hunger is still driving me mental and I messed up yesterday and had a kebab Blush but I'm straight back on it today and feeling really positive even though I'd kill for a creme egg Wink Grin

Cheesyslice · 26/01/2014 21:35

HOLY SHIT venus. You had a kebab and still lost 17lb? Amazing. How far have you got to go until you hit your goal now?

Excellent...day completed without any deviation via biscuit tin; feel that I've 'broken my duck' now and on the road to slimsville. My growly stomach and I are off to bed.

Jellypudmum · 26/01/2014 22:22

Just ordered Exante! Done LL before so hoping will be able to succeed. In for the long haul tho; have 7 stone to lose!!! Blush

blondiedollface · 26/01/2014 22:27

I have my second weigh in tomorrow - haven't had a good weekend and not looking forward to it :(

I need some motivation! Although an working away for 6 weeks from Friday so will be away from DH and DD without temptation, just my shaker and shakes!

pinkdelight · 27/01/2014 09:38

So after 4 weeks I had my first lapse last night. Was the kids' leftover jacket spud what dunnit, officer! And boy was it yummy. Sigh.

But am back on the case today, so please remind me, ye others who hath cheated - does it really take a whole four days to get back into ketosis again? I'm thinking it must do, but then so many people on here say 'oh i had a bad weekend, ate/drank stuff I shouldn't', that it makes me think I may be misinformed and it mightn't be quite that hellish slog to get back in the zone all over again?

blondiedollface · 27/01/2014 09:44

Four whole days?! I don't think i've been strict for a whole 4 days at a time in a row :( I have still lost 8lbs in 2 weeks of birthday celebrations that included Rome, and a quite boozy -annihilated drunken- night with good friends! I have been good today and planned my shakes but if it takes four days then I need to get down to it!!

Cheesyslice · 27/01/2014 10:13

Getting into ketosis is different for everyone. If you google it it's quite interesting. From my very basic, limited knowledge, it happens when your body uses up it's carb / sugar stores and begins burning fat. How long this takes depends on how large those stores are. So if you have a little carb slip, your body should use up that relatively quickly and then get back into ketosis. However, what I've found is that if I go off plan my body will 'hang on' to any naughty stuff I give it. Which is why I've hit a plateau. Very annoying. That's why these diets work if you stick them, but don't if you don't.

Cheesyslice - I still have roughly 60lb to go. I have a lot to lose which is why I lost so much the first week.

ChestyNut · 27/01/2014 12:46

I have lots to go too venus Sad

Well done on 1st week loss.

blondiedollface · 27/01/2014 15:39

No loss but no gain :) on it properly now! Counsellor said that if I am getting hungry to have 4 products instead of just 3!
