New week, new thread - let's fill it with positive attitude and lots of support.

OP posts:

Well done, everybody! I've lost another pound, so I'm pleased - thought I would go up again, but no, hooray! You stone losers are impressive

suejonez · 21/06/2006 17:55

Well a stone is some way off for me but will be happy to continue averaging 1lb per week - I'd have lost 4.5 stone by Xmas if I can keep that up!

JackieNo · 21/06/2006 18:08

Now that's a cheering thought SJ.

alittlebitshy · 21/06/2006 18:31

hi, sorry not been on much

I think i've lost about 4 pounds (not totally sure, skales are clockwork (or non digital, always forget the real word). Last week seemd to be sitting at about 4lb heavier, and had not lost since the previous week, so it all seems to have come off at once.

what's the consensus on a once a week nice treat? Wondering whether to suggest takeaway on fri night to dh, and my thought process always goes back to my unhealthy dieting years and thinks it will ruin all my work. not true is it??

alittlebitshy · 21/06/2006 18:31

SCALES even. thought it looked wrong but couldn't work you why. lol.

dublindee · 21/06/2006 18:57

a treat is a good idea - but not sure about a takeaway, I'dgo for something small like a cake/biscuit/bar/pastry if I was having a treat.

suejonez · 21/06/2006 22:45

I have chip shop chips once a week but have them with something marginally healthy from home like chicken or baked beans or whatever. You'll struggle to lose weight even having one indian or chinese a week unless you can restrict youself to boiled rice, tandoori chicken and that not a treat in my book and takeaway pizza is even worse. How about a really nice dinner bought from Marks so you don't have to cook (and cheaper than a takeaway) or takeaway treat when you have lost say half a stone.

I'm trying to make my treats non-food. A bit like WWB my mother thought food = love so I immediate think of something really fattening as a treat. Manicure or pedicure will be my treat for 1 stone.

suejonez · 21/06/2006 22:47

sorry alittlebitshy should also have said weldone! Can you not bring yourself to weigh at boots once a week? I do and whilst it was painful at first, now it's all I can do not to say to perfect strangers "I'm losing weight you know!"

WigWamBam · 22/06/2006 11:09

This weeks figures ... cue fanfare because we deserve one this week (tan-ta-ra-ta-ta-ta-taaaaaaaaa)

Coppertop: -4lb (total 9lb)
Fauve: -1lb (total 4lb)
Fio: +2 (total 3lb)
JackeiNo: -1 (total 14)
Schneebly: -2 (total 13.5lb)
Suejonez: -4lb (total 8lb)
WWB: -1lb (total 13lb)

Two crowns this week, for Coppertop and Suejonez with a brilliant 4lbs each; both also get smiley faces on their cards for their first half stone. Plus can we have a big round of applause for JackieNo who has lost her first stone ... well done!

OP posts:
suejonez · 22/06/2006 13:08

Ooh, ooh, ooh - I got a crown

Thats 64.5lbs in total between us all so far - that 4.5 stone! And that doesn;t count some of those who weigh at a different time.
