Make me shred

The table is pulled out of the way. The jingly music is playing. Jillian is grinning at me and waiting to introduce me to her "two best girls helping us out". But I cannot bring myself to press play.
I did so well last week, a full week of shredding and watching what I eat. This week, Mr Motivation has left the building. I've already hada a square of chocolate.

The general idea is you do each level for 10 days, then move on I think.

Anita is my hero

Don't phone it in guys
(my DH says this a lot to me now when he sees me struggling - it gets very annoying)

Ok I didn't 'phone it in' - Day 2 done. I was a bit stiff today but that might have been a combination of shredding and the power walking with DS in his pram yesterday!

Already feeling that 'I've done some exercise smugness'. Only another 28 days to go!

Is everyone else dieting or just watching what you eat. I'm still breastfeeding so I'm just trying to cut out the excessive junk I was eating.

i'm enjoying that sort of feeling too, bionic

this time it's about a change of lifestyle for me, not the losing weight as such

i needed a kick up the arse, thanks everyone here for helping with that

Hi Bionic, well done on day 2! I'm not dieting, just eating a normal balanced diet and not snacking as much! I eat well normally so I'm guessing this is ok, I'm doing the shred more to tone than loose weight, I probably could do with losing half a stone though!

The things you wonder when your mind drifts during the bicep curls...
Do you think Natalie gets paid more than Anita? She has to put in more effort :o

I'd be happy with inches lost rather than weight. I'm thinking this kind of exercise regime is more likely to build muscle so I may end up weighing more Smile

I want to know where that door at the back of the set GYM leads to

And why my phone insists the GYM has to be in caps

And what Jillian's tattoo says

There are lockers at the back I noticed today
And when they're doing static lunge with bicep curl and camera is on Anita, Natalie is off to one side cheating.! No lunging.

Just me signing in for day 5! Will do it in about an hour as need to get DC's sorted first. Who's with me?!

Report
RippingYarns · 05/08/2013 08:41

Me, but not until about half 10 or 11 today

My ankles have returned! I can see them!

Yay ripping! Glad you are seeing a change already! I looked in the mirror this morning and I am sure my tummy looks better! It's saggy and a bit loose after the DC but today it looks tighter and lifted somehow. Can't help but wonder how much better I'll look in 25 days time.

That's me done! Didn't get out of breath at all today, getting easier for sure. Good luck ripping!

Finally got round to doing today's workout, I still finding the cardio hard, wonder if I could do the first session of couch to5k before DD gets back...

Ripping you are thinking just like me! I'm thinking I might go running this evening. Before school holidays I'd got up to starting week 4 of c25k. I'll see how tired I am after an afternoon out with DC's, don't want to push myself too hard and injure myself though.

you're right wallpaper maybe the running might be pushing it too far for me yet, will reconsider when DD goes back to school and I can time the sessions better

bionic - living up to your NN

DH says my shoulders look firmer Grin

Hello! I've just done day 11 of level 1. I know I should go onto level 2, but I'm really scared! I'm finding L1 easy now and I'm playing my own music and muting Jillian so I'm finding I actually enjoy it. I've heard bad things about L2!

I'm also doing c25k and am on week 6 of that, which I think has really helped with the cardio. Still hate 'jump rope' though!

Is there anyone on L2 with any words of comfort?

Report
RippingYarns · 05/08/2013 21:08

L2 is great hard and i find it very boring, but it's really difficult to gain any success on L3 without having done it IMO

i love L3, have a look, see what you could be doing in 10 days time Shock

Thanks Ripping I shall bite the bullet and start level 2 after tomorrow's run!
