Week 10 = 2 3/4lb loss.
Total loss 30 1/2lb,
that means 19 1/2lb to go.
Weight today 10st 9lb.

smokinaces · 22/07/2013 19:44

Go jellybean!!

maggie666 · 22/07/2013 22:06

Well done with the weight loss sammac and jellybean.
Smokin - how chuffed would I be getting into a size 12. Yey go you. X

Jelly - I'm doing exercise as I was already doing it before starting Cambridge diet. I only do 1 hour of a toning class but I don't see there being a problem. The price seems very reasonable too.

Hope everyone else has had a good low carb day. X

sammac · 23/07/2013 09:58

I've just opened a s&s parcel, but am not switching from LL just yet!

Dd has decided that she wants to lose about a stone and has ordered 2 weeks supply. She's a size 12 and just weighed in at 11 1/2 stone at 5'7 ( the same as me) The packs look like the LL- she's just made the porridge- which looks identical.

I ordered the water flavourings at 3 for £10. At LL they're 10.50 each! Made up a mixed fruit bottle and a cola bottle and they're fine. Treated myself to the wine flavour too!

I've listened to what you've all said about s&s, and it is hugely cheaper, but I'm going to continue to my goal with LL, then switch to a maintenance plan using S&S. also it come to your door rather having to drive for 35 mins each way.

Good luck to my dd!

ps the porridge isn't as sweet as my one - her quote- like cardboard!

Nornironmum · 23/07/2013 11:58

Hi all. Well done on the losses. I started Cambridge on the 17th of June. I hit my target today with 2 days left to my holiday.
Weight at at start 12.13
Weight today
10.13.
I am 5.5 and curvy so am happy with this weight it's my wedding and before kids weight and leaves me mostly a size 10, sometimes a 12. I am very nervous about my holiday and will def stick to low carb, how much weight do you think I will put on?

sammac · 23/07/2013 14:00

Well done nonironmum, inspiring!!

You automatically put back about 4lbs of glycogen, it says in all the info, so don't worry about that. If you are careful, you shouldn't put on much at all. Relax and enjoy- where you off to?

Nornironmum · 23/07/2013 15:26

Spain, we go every year. Mummy has a house in. Murcia so we get to use it and only pay for flights.
I know about the gylocen but I really am going to try to not have carbs as much as possible, and drink my water and stick to vodka soda water and fresh lime, (though I won't be able to resist wine)
Back on soule source plus for a week when I get back or however long if takes.

smokinaces · 23/07/2013 17:52

Well done on the two Stone! Have a great holiday - with mediterrean diet of fish, meat, vegetables and salad you should be fine. Avoid processed food, bread and pasta and you shouldn't put much back on.

MyJellybean · 23/07/2013 18:42

Well done Norn. Have a fab holiday.

MrsPnut · 24/07/2013 06:36

Morning and well done on the losses everyone.
I spectacularly fell off the wagon yesterday, so today will be really rough but I am in my office by myself.

smokinaces · 24/07/2013 16:47

I was bought a box of my favourite Lindt lindor chocolates as a thankyou/have a good summer gift. They are in the fridge to feed the kids. So hard to resist. I will though

Cinema for first day of holidays tomorrow. Boys will have popcorn and sweets. I will take a s&s bar and a bottle of diet Pepsi. And not pick goddamnit!!!

Mrspnut, one day is fine. Everyone has a wagon day every now and then. Hope you've had an ok day.

MrsPnut · 24/07/2013 18:03

Thanks Smokin, today hasn't been too bad. Had a bar at lunchtime and mushroom stir fry with chicken for dinner with a babybel light for a snack.

Got to go out to meeting in a minute, so will be distracted most of the evening.

PutThatDownNow · 24/07/2013 21:38

Hi all. Congrats on the great losses everyone. Well done on hitting your target Norniron.

Hope you get back on track MrsPnut.

I am most fed up this evening - have been sole source for a week an a half now. Weighed last Mon and had lost 4lb. Weighed today and I have lost ....nothing. And that's after not eating my own birthday cake and sticking to plan despite overseas trip this week. But I have been using ketostix which show I am in ketosis so guess I will try to keep up the momentum and hope the scales magically budge next week.

smokinaces · 24/07/2013 22:01

Putthatdown, its most likely the weather. Try just one or two extra glasses of water a day and you'll no doubt see a shift. I've sts this week I think, and its lack of fluid. Keep at it, it is worth it long term. The second and third weeks are notourius at bad losses.

PutThatDownNow · 25/07/2013 00:12

Thanks smokin. I will keep at it, just very disheartening.

sammac · 25/07/2013 19:42

I've joined the gym!! And booked to go to class tomorrow morning. And swam about 12 lengths. This is not me - I am morphing into someone with energy and motivation!!

I spent a while browsing this morning in River Island and Wallis, looking through the size 12s and 14s.
That felt pretty good!

perrymanku · 25/07/2013 23:56

Has anyone tried the medically assisted Pronokal programme, one that GPs recommend?

MrsPnut · 26/07/2013 07:02

No, sorry Perry.
That's great Sam, I should go to our gym more often. I used to go three times a week but we changed gyms and I don't like this one as much.

MrsPnut · 26/07/2013 07:03

Forgot to say, WI today and I STS. I am quite pleased with this after the week I've had. I shall regroup and try to do it properly this week.

sammac · 26/07/2013 09:09

ONwards and downwards Mrspnut, sometimes we just have to succumb!

smokinaces · 26/07/2013 14:07

Well done mrsp, a sts is meaning you're maintaining your loss :-D

sammac, well done on the gym! I would love to, but time and childcare are against me.

I am shattered. Too little sleep!!

sammac · 26/07/2013 16:27

Luckily ds is 11 and he can now go swimming at same time. With his pal- I'm onto a winner ( and booked 2 classes tomorrow!!) Didn't look like a lard bucket in class- the wonders of lycra!!

PutThatDownNow · 26/07/2013 20:35

Well done Sammac, I keep promising myself I will find some time to fit some swimming in.

Good luck this week MrsP. I have stuck at it but bored and fed up. hopefully a loss at WI on Mon will cheer me up.

smokinaces · 26/07/2013 21:30

I was 10st 2 this morning, so have hit my stone mark. Am having a big weekend though, so 4lb will no doubt have come back on by Monday. Am knocking myself out of ketosis tomorrow, simply as I want alcohol and dont want to be dangerous. And then lots of gin. But after that straight back on it - Harvesters Sunday lunch, so will do steak and salad or chicken and salad. Have ordered another fortnights worth of bars and breakfasts too, seem to have happily gone into a 2/3 packs a day and 2 meals a day.

sammac · 27/07/2013 17:04

Today's WI was another 3 lbs off, total 61 1/2. Followed immediately by 2 classes - I am so determined to not only lose weight but be toned. A CXWORX for tummy tightening, followed by BodyCombat. Felt so unco-ordinated at the combat class, a lot of punching and kicking and sweating but I can feel my side muscles, whatever the are called aching!!

Gym intro tomorrow where they test my fitnessBlush not looking forward to that
