30 Day Shred - DVD just arrived ... anyone else about to start?!

So, after all I've read, the DVD and the weights have arrived....

Later today I plan to begin.

In 30 days I will be toned, have lost this extra stone, feel awake instead of in need of a nap all the time ... etc etc etc.

Right now just getting through the first one would be a victory! Anyone else desperate and mad enough to be starting this....

Hi everyone, well done to those on level 2! I'm not even peeking at it untill I get there.

Just finished day 7, found it hard going today but I had been to the gym for half an hour before hand.

Hey Goodtoo, my day twin, how did u get on today, have you done it?

Level 2 not that bad?! I'm dying here! Thinking about it though, I thought I was dying after the first day of level1 so it's bound to get better.

Hi Nacho yes, did it last night and really pushed myself hard and altho I'm still unfit I feel I can do a lot more than on day 1. haven't decided whether to do a 90 or 30 day shred. might do level2 on mon and see how I go.

I'm having a night off. Meeting a friend later and I've had a dodgy tummy today, had to run for the loo 3 times this morning and feel all gripey and bloated. Will resume tmrw.

Yes...the runs this morning and headaches and stomach pain. Feel like I've been hit by a bus. Not helped by 40degree heat and no air con.

I had Friday off too but did go to the gym so did day 8 yesterday and will be on day 9 today. Dp says he can see a difference already tho he could just be trying to encourage me.

How is everyone getting on with level 2, I've not even peeped yet.

Well, day 11 and did the first session at level 2 today which I'd been looking forward to. Found it v difficult cos've all the planking and the simplified version doesn't really address that problem. Pulled a muscle in my bum too and there's 'another issue' I'm not v happy about but I think I'll stick with it if I can at least for another day and reevaluate Confused Any tips re the planking issue?

Good to - are you on level one? If do maybe give it s go but do the simplified versions and take breathers if you need to. I did that after the worst of my cold had broken. Don't think it made it any worse and I felt better for having done something and not given up as you mentioned. Having said that my cold is still here but I don't think it's the exercise as DD2 has had the same illness and symptoms on the same time scale IYSWIM

Well done Nacho on gym visiting and visible difference! Not sure there's much difference in my silhouette yet but that could be because my muscles are hidden under a generous layer of fat! Grin

Thanks Tinwe, been back to the gym and shredded today, day 9.

Section 2 might get easier as you go along, I struggled with section 1 to start with. Maybe just plank as much as you can and try to increase it by a second or two each time?

good, how did you get on? I would probably just give it a go and stop if you feel awful. You might surprise yourself.

Tinwe, no tips for the planking I'm afraid but they do get a bit easier.

Just finished day 3 of level 2 (missed Saturday). Not much fun in this heat, and I've hurt my knee so some bits were really hard.

Just done day 12! Level 2. Had to stop midway through the last ab exercise, the plank twist thing. Did a few but my arms just aren't strong enough (especially at the end of that session) so I pauses the video and did 20 push ups and a minute of twist crunches. Do you think that would do as an alternative?

I'm giving it a miss tonight, I did Ab Attack class and don't want to over so it. Will carry on with day 10 tomorrow.
