Back from all-inclusive holiday in Portugal with lovely, if pale, tan and an extra 2lbs
And a very sore throat from screaming for Andy Murray, as a Scot it's compulsory! But how well did he do? He was amazing!

I also managed to sneak a birthday party for dd(3) into the 24hrs we had between landing from the Algarve and going to the caravan for the second week of our holiday. We got home at 10pm, I was in Tesco by 11pm looking for birthday cake and candles etc. We had my nephew's party the next morning and dd's in the afternoon. Both had turned 3 during the holiday but we couldn't tell them as we didn't have any presents with us. It was all a bit strange tbh, but they didn't know.

I'm going to try to catch up with what's been happening but I'm back at work with a new boss so feel that I should actually do something! Planning to go to the gym after work too so motivation/yelling/threats to make me go would be good...

Its good to be back with you all! Grin

Lizzylou · 09/07/2013 14:19

2lbs is fab after an all inclusive holiday Tiger! I put on 10lbs when we did an AI in Turkey for a week a few years ago Blush
Andy Murray was fab and I yelled and cgeered and then cried. Much to my boys Hmm Confused

Sloped off work for supposedly a couple of hours to watch boys sports day this lunchtime, now back at home with a poorly ds2 asleep in just his pants on the sofa. He has either overheated or has hay fever or both. Feel awful as have missed watching ds1 now.

Really hope the weather is cooler this evening for metafit.

Oh and Tiger? Get your arse down the gym Grin

BsshBossh · 09/07/2013 14:33

Welcome back Tiger and well done on only gaining 2lbs - I'd have gained much more on an inclusive!

RandallPinkFloyd · 09/07/2013 14:54

Blimey, well done on only gaining 2lb. I though the whole point of all-inclusive was to come back fat and shiny Grin

I am formally paying my penance, the mega-wedding was indeed mega. I ate lots and drank lots for 3 days straight. If I've only gained 2lb by tomorrow's weigh-in i'll be very relieved.

I've got 4 weeks to lose 6.8lbs if I want to get to my target by my birthday. It's bloody big ask but I'm going to get as close to it as I damn well can!

Onwards and downwards chiefs Smile

SylviaDaisyPouncer · 09/07/2013 16:20

Alright Chiefs!

Hope everyone is enjoying the sun and not melting?

I am trying to rest my traumatised foot! That's the term my dr used. So I'm all taped up and trying to decide if I'm going to work Thursday (not likely). Can't really rest it as dd seems to want something every 30 seconds.

Still doing upper body exercise though with my weights but yet again it means when I restart shredding its going to hurt.

I've just had an email from MNHQ saying I have the F&F vouchers to trial their school uniform. Good thing is that you don't have to spend it all on school stuff and the kids need new summer clothes! I figure if I buy some trousers and shirts that will leave lots of the £100! Click and collect here I comeSmile

Lizzylou · 09/07/2013 21:58

Randall, c'mon....how many times have we heard this?..Grin
Spd, yay for freeclothes! Totally missed that tester thread Angry
When does gp think your foot will get over it's trauma?

Metafit was hell in this heat, despite aircon. Nice swim afterwards helped.

Am menstrual and my stomach is the size of Africa, so swollen. With the belly of doom and my weekend of excess, think I may be on naughty step this weigh in Blush

dinkydoos · 09/07/2013 23:02

Hello lovelies! tiger 2lb after an all inclusive!!! You amateur eater you! Grin seriously, I would be totally made up with that. Am already stressing about our French hols, as usually spend most of it on the deck of the mobile home, mainlining bread, cheese and wine. Won't be pretty weighing in after that.
Agree lizzy - randall shush now! Somehow you will convert your 3 day Randall into a weight loss. You need to patent it!
sdp vouchers! I love a voucher me!

RandallPinkFloyd · 10/07/2013 00:04

If I manage to convert this one into a loss I'll seriously consider patenting it Grin

(I must add that your idea of a French holiday sounds right up my street!)

Lizzylou · 10/07/2013 08:39

Dinky, we are holiday twins!
Exact same scenario here,Deck of mobile: BBQ, pate, cheese, bread and WINE!

We are taking the bikes, so hopefully some cycling will lessen the damage Hmm

RandallPinkFloyd · 10/07/2013 09:17

Those are the 5 main food groups no?
Well they are in my world! Well jel Envy

TeaMakesItAllPossible · 10/07/2013 15:51

Oh I've been distracted by sun, Andy, the lions, and a Game of Thrones book. I am not capable of chiefing, working or looking after the kids. It's all gone to rat-shit

OMG it's too warm on top of my hill to move my fingers to type.

Well done on the loss Bssh that is mega.

Glad Lizzy and Randall had wonderful weekends. I did, when reading the thread on Friday, seriously consider running up to Wales and pretending to be SDP. It made me chuckle for a couple of hours [easily pleased emoticon].

And dinks and Tiger your holidays sound wonderful and great news that you managed them without too much impact on the chiefing.

I've managed to maintain .... sort of Blush over the last couple of weeks again.

I don't have a bikini holiday to act as motivation though have been wafting around the postage stamp of grass we have in one to pretend. We've now booked our vacation - now we know what's happening with DH's ankle. I have a very active holiday planned with scarfell pike and other hills to walk and the three oldest in the first week. The second week we're going to some place in the cotswolds where I will be sailing, kayaking and windsurfing with the three oldest. DH will be monitoring and minding DS4 and in a walking boot. This is not the relaxing holiday I was hoping for but the boys will love it and I'm hoping that they'll be so knackered that they won't have the energy for running around the thing we're staying in in the evening when I will be able to drink Gin and read in peace. French mobile holiday sounds more like my kinda holiday. I await teenage years of slothdom when I will get my reward.

dinkydoos · 10/07/2013 16:39

Ooh yes, pâté lizzy how could I forget! Actually really love the rilletes they do as well.
tea I haven't been on hols yet, so I fear your congratulations on my damage limitation are sadly unfounded, and will be wholly incorrect at end of August!

buzzybuzzybeeshoes · 11/07/2013 07:00

Tiger agree with all the others that 2lb is entirely to be commended after 2 weeks AI. I can easily put on 5lb in a week or half a stone in a fortnight - possibly because I follow a vegetarian version of the French Holiday Diet (shall we call it British Women Do Get Fat?) - Côte d'Or choc, cheese, bread, wine and Carambars!

Tea I don't foresee much problem with weigh gain on that holiday, bloody hell chief.

Not lost any weight last week Sad bit disappointed as I haven't been outrageous really and have done a fair bit of exercise. So I ate whatever I fancied yesterday (tbf the cake was a surprise in the afternoon) - around 2600 cals, about 400 more than TDEE - and had put on 3lb by bedtime! So now am really Angry with myself to boot. I know it's not "real" weight but still Sad

buzzybuzzybeeshoes · 11/07/2013 07:08

PS Randall and Lizzy your weekends sound brilliant!

RandallPinkFloyd · 11/07/2013 18:20

Don't be too cross with yourself Buzzy, that way badness lies! It's only one day, no harm no foul.

Only 0.2lb off this week so don't think we need to patent the Randall school of dieting just yet but it's not a gain so that's the main thing! It's put me way off target for my birthday goal as I'd now need to lose 1.65lb per week for the next 4 weeks to make it in time but I shall keep plugging away and get as close as I possibly can Smile

Lizzylou · 11/07/2013 18:55

Buzzy, you always weigh more at night time!

Randall, you are a machine Grin (told you so!)
I am sticking this week, but as I have unreal water retention and after the weekend, well, it's all good Grin

Sooooo hot and sticky. 20 mins of gentle Pilates and I am covered in sweat Confused

buzzybuzzybeeshoes · 11/07/2013 22:21

Raaaaaaah Angry still a pound up! Should get off the scales I guess...

buzzybuzzybeeshoes · 11/07/2013 22:25

But yay for you Randall - no mean feat in the face of the mega-wedding!

And Lizzy commiserations on the STS - but may I say you are a model of how to deal with it

BsshBossh · 11/07/2013 23:24

buzzy get the f**k off those scales! You are doing my your head in weighing all day. It leads to self-pitying self-loathing and binging. We all fluctuate madly during the day - I tried weighing randomly all day one day recently and fluctuated by several lbs. I felt so bad I went to McD for a mega-cal Big Tasty (with bacon!) meal. Madness. Buck up Chief!

Grin but also

BsshBossh · 11/07/2013 23:32

Randall hurrah, a loss is a loss!

Lizzy I've read on other threads/forums that loads of people are STS this week due to hot weather = more water consumed + heat bloat = water retention. Combined with TOM (?), this might be happening for you.

My second fast of the week is over - I now plan to have just one slice of cake each day until Monday's fast. Hurrah, it's nearly Friday which means the weekend starts Friday evening!

Lizzylou · 12/07/2013 06:56

Scary Bssh, but very true Buzzy!
It's a marathon not a sprint!

Bssh, yes it is TOM, and I have been drinking even more water. That makes sense, am really swollen and bloated thus week.

Meant to say that Tea, your holiday sounds fab and bet your boys will love it.

BsshBossh · 12/07/2013 07:35

No change in weight this morning.

Non-fast day (well, 3 of them!) and I fancy a spice of Victoria Sponge cake. I don't bake and I don't want to buy a whole cake, so I will wander around my local bakeries/cafes to find one that will serve the perfect slice :)

BsshBossh · 12/07/2013 07:37

Spice? I meant 'slice' of course

DoubleMum · 12/07/2013 12:09

I fancy a spice of Victoria Sponge too.
Since I am off to Strada this evening though, I shall abstain. Might have a perusal of the menu online to see what's best.
Randall I can't - or rather I can - believe you still lost in the face of the Mega Wedding of Doom.

Yum Strada is lovely, enjoy Smile

Have just done Extreme Shred and shed. Bloody hot! Felt a bit weak and woozy. Then remembered I haven't eaten all day Confused
