Happy birthday Double Wine Flowers Wine

Hope your DH's toe gets better soon SDP

The weekend has arrived - woohoo!

DoubleMum · 21/06/2013 20:35

I am Shock at DH's thing SDP. Is it some kind of alien? I can see that the timing would rather remove all sympathy which might otherwise have been available. DD is also waking a lot, but she always has been a bad sleeper since she had so many ear infections before she grew out of it. I sympathise, not for nothing is sleep deprivation used as a form of torture.
Thanks for the bday wishes. I can't say it was a great one as the bunnies were in a bit of a worrying stage, but I've had worse. Am afraid I didn't avoid the cals though as we had a (massive) Thai takeaway.
The bunnies appear to have turned a corner and although they're still not drinking they appear to have decided to eat at least. We managed to get a tiny bit of water into them this afternoon which meant they didn't have to be admitted back to the vets overnight. Phew. Who'd have thought 6 months ago that my life would have been completely taken over by 2 small fluffy herbivores. We will have to syringe them again this evening which is frankly hilarious, I should youtube it as a counter to the videos on there with lovely calm bunnies who stay still when you put them on a table and stick a syringe into their mouths.
Tea how's the ankle? Any more family members affected? Hope DH is OK.

SylviaDaisyPouncer · 21/06/2013 20:59

I honestly don't know what it is double, I'm not ruling out alien invasion yetGrin
It is most definitely not a bunion like dh says and I'm not convinced the dr will remove it when he sees the size of it (though he said to dh on the phone he would be removing said thing). I said it looks like an extra toe sprouting out of his normal toe. Dh is getting a little concerned.

Perhaps he should put that on YouTube, we could all be Dr. Google for him. I think I would much rather watch the bunnies though!

DoubleMum · 21/06/2013 21:14

Hmm, what would I rather watch. Strange toe growths or some baby bunnies? It's a tricky one. In fact though, Truffles has just voluntarily had a drink (we cheered) so possibly the video will not be forthcoming and we will all be forced to watch Mr SDP's alien toe abduction. (If you happen to read this Mr SDP I'm sure your toe is just lovely. No, really.)

OP posts:
TeaMakesItAllPossible · 21/06/2013 21:18

Bloody hell I knew we were all going all nunny. Double you're at it with the sinning.

Awwww poor bunnies. Glad they're looking a little better. And what a shame that you didn't get out for tea Double. Perhaps a little celebration of one's half birthday like what the Queen does might be in order?

Shock at Mr SDP's toe. An alien toe. DS4 would love that. We may have to play alien toes tomorrow - I'm a little bored of being a Jedi with a dinosaur that likes to go on the swings. Mind, I'm not sure Alien would have been quite so effective if it had involved an alien coming out out of Ms Weaver's toe. Did your DH get left on a space station for any length of time? May his toe soon be back to normal.

My ankle is achey right now but that is because I ran. I ran without it hurting after doing 60 minutes cross training. And it was fast running. I have discovered running on a treadmill might be the next stage of my recovery. I'm going to try to do 10km on it on Sunday. I am happy and did a little happy dance to celebrate.

SDP you are right. I have not coped well with restrictions on exercising but I'm trying to keep my moaning under control because poor DH has just had 7 pins in his leg in a 3 hour operation. He'll be in some sort of boot/plaster for three months. He's an active chap so this is a real setback for him. Our summer holiday was meant to be 'mountain' climbing so we're going to have to revisit that one. Luckily he's much nicer than I am so is able to not grump about it. He is home after 48 hours in hospital - nice for him and lovely for us. I think the NHS is amazing. I am still feeling a little weepy after seeing all the old chaps in the ward with him though. All other family members are fine - though DS4 assures me that he has broken his ankle and needs to go to hospital for a big plaster up to here

It is indeed the weekend and I am drinking gin even though it's a fast day and will come in under 500 calories because frankly I need it the amount I'm running around.

Chiefs I luffs you all.

DoubleMum · 21/06/2013 21:45

Poor Mr Tea. That really can't be nice. I shall extend great sympathy to him, but only a tiny bit to Mr SDP's alien toe. He'd have slightly more sympathy if he were unable to play golf.

A quick post as I'm waiting for my inlaws to arrive so I can join DH and our friends in the pub.

Mixed day for me - have lost only 0.4lb so didn't log it but NSV - bought a jacket in Gap that was size 10!!! I know Gap sizing is way off but I haven't been close in years I'm thinking of leaving the label sticking out all day tomorrow when I wear it.

double hope all is ok with the bunnies. As always we're here for hand holding.

All those with foot issues I hope they go well.

Have a great weekend chiefs - remember when we started this it was dark, cold January and together look how much lighter we are than then, how awesome is that?!?

DoubleMum · 21/06/2013 21:56

Well done Lego, great NSV!!

Hello lovely chiefs! Remember me?
So crazy at work always in June, just no time for thread writing! Glad you all still being good, but sorry to hear of alien invasions, poorly bunnies, operations etc, sounds a bit stressful.
lego nice comment, we should all be proud we have come so far, if we hadn't been chief ing we would have been chomping away getting rounder, so all is good! Am now lowest I've been in at least 10 years so pretty happy with that, but still vaguely 5:2 ing.
Have a lovely weekend all

DoubleMum · 22/06/2013 13:24

Dinky, a 10 year low, how fantastic! Well done Chief!

OP posts:
RandallPinkFloyd · 22/06/2013 16:21

Sorry your birthday was a bit of a bust Double. Don't realise the hoppers had been so poorly, is that a normal reaction to spaying in rabbits?

Intrigued by the toe thing SPD you'll has to persuade him to let you take a picture so we can all have a good nosy!

Really well done on the running Tea glad it's starting to feel better. Don't do too much too soon though Poor Mr Tea sounds like he's having a horrible time, 7 pins Shock

Size 10 Lego! just wonderful, bloody well done you! And massive well done to you too Dinky. A ten year low, amazing achievement.

As for me, I'm afraid you'll have to forgive me chiefs, for I have Randalled. Really Randalled. They have live music on the bandstand in my local park in the summer and this week it was the gypsy jazz band who are playing at my friend's wedding next month, so we all went down to see them. Only at the last minute XDH offered to babysit so I could have a drink. It was such a lovely sunny evening, and all my friends were there, and the music was fab. We ended up all going back to a friend's house. We drank booze and talked crap til 3 o'clock Blush

I'm fasting today to pay my penance but I've got a party tomorrow too. I am a bad chief. Mainly because I'm not even sorry. It was ace!

I'll do another fast or two Monday/Tuesday as I'm on a training course so I'm working crappy hours anyway. That will have to do.

DoubleMum · 22/06/2013 18:58

Yes Randall it seems to be fairly common to go off food, but if it lasts a while it gets dangerous as bunnies need food going though their gut all the time otherwise everything kind of stops working which is fatal if not fixed.
They're still not drinking but they seem a lot better now, and very affectionate towards each other which is cute.
I haven't checked what I'm eating today but I haven't been too bad. Might be a little bit over.
Congratulations on some Super Randalling Randall.

Gosh, I had no idea. I've only ever had cats and dogs so I'm just used to slightly subdued faces really pissed off at having to wear the cone of shame. Poor little things, glad they're picking up now.

buzzybuzzybeeshoes · 23/06/2013 21:04

Lego and Dinky well done on your size 10ing and 10-year low! Amazing stuff.

Good luck with feet and bunnies, Tea, Mr Tea, MrSDP and Double. Other people's/pets' ill-health can be really stressful for everyone.

I have Randalled today - met friends and ended up having an enormous lunch! Skipping tea t

buzzybuzzybeeshoes · 23/06/2013 21:09

Stupid fat fingers pressed post too soon! Skipping tea tonight; can't decide whether to fast tomorrow as have swimming club and will have to do an hour of hard training. I'm thinking either just a low day, or maybe a fast day with a 500-600 cal meal at 5.30ish... as I usually eat early with the kids on swimming night.

Good luck for a new week chiefs!

BsshBossh · 24/06/2013 08:25

Morning Chiefs! Today I'm officially back in weightloss mode. Have decided on another 10 lbs then review how I look and feel. My strategy is:
Fast on 500 cals twice a week
All other week days no snacking between meals
Weekends anything goes!

Lizzylou · 24/06/2013 09:27

Morning Chiefs!
Weekend of camping was a mixture of rain, lots of eating (carbs central!), lots of walking and exercise and lots of fun in all.
Now have horrid tent neck from an underinflated airbed Hmm

Quick peek at scales showed no movement, so exercise must have outweighed the randalling.

Sounds like a plan Bssh.
Hope bunnies are better Double!
Sounds a Randalling good weekend, Randall.

Ugh Mondays come too soon, eh?

TeaMakesItAllPossible · 25/06/2013 10:17

Good Morning Chieflings.

Wow Lizzy that sounds fun. Ahhh, sore neck? I'd take that as a sign that your head is full of brain, the bit of me that suffers in an under-inflated airbed is my arse.

And excellent non-moving.

Also hoping that the bunnies are now drinking, eating and hopping like, erm, rabbits.

Super randalling. Now I need me some of that.
.
It's hard to know what to do with exercise in an evening on a fast day isn't it buzzy I have the same dilemma on a Mondays as I like to fast on Monday but I also play hockey.

Yesterday I had the most disastrous fast day known to chiefing. I had two cupcakes, a cheese scone and bread to eat Shock. In my weak defence I think I'm secretly AFing. And I was absolutely exhausted having spent the weekend entertaining, playing tennis and hockey with them, running around and feeding four kids and carry things up and down stairs for DH. No movement on the scales though over the weekend so I'm naively hoping that this week is the week I loose as I was quite well behaved over the weekend. Such a shame about yesterday. Today is a new day.

Going out for lunch with DH - he needs a driver to get anywhere is treating me ... I am avoiding breakfast. Today could either end well or badly Grin

buzzybuzzybeeshoes · 25/06/2013 12:14

Hi Bssh, good luck! You are another chiefly inspiration.

Tea that is so easy to do on a fast day. But, you stopped! You could have fecked off the diet for the day and gone down the chippy which is what I'd probably have done and which is also why I am currently well over 14 stone But you didn't! You stopped! So you still had a lower than your allowance day and it was still a win Smile

I dragged myself out to swimming last night (always a massive arseache as it doesn't start till 9 and I don't drive, so after changing and walking home it's almost 11pm). But l

buzzybuzzybeeshoes · 25/06/2013 12:19

RAAAAH stupid fat fingers! That was meant to say: But loved it once I was in the water and ached pleasantly this morning.

Have lost 2lb but really need to do better with my diet.

How are all the feet doing? And Double are the buns better?

LaundryLegoLunch · 25/06/2013 13:20

buzzy 2lbs is great - If you carried on you'd have lost 4 stone by Christmas! And well done for the late night swimming. I have zero motivation at any time in the evenings for exercise.

Bssh great plan. I feel quite nervous about maintaining. I've heard lots of people say they've found it hard as the motivation of seeing the scales going down has gone. Well done for sticking at it. You remain a big inspiration to me.

Tea that sounds like an exhausting weekend! I find it really hard in my so-called fast days to avoid carbs and once you start it's hard to stop.

Lizzy well done for not gaining. Hope the neck is better.

My weekend started with curry on Fri evening, involved eating a mountain of mega rich food at a food festival on Sat then concluded with a BBQ and loads of cake on Sun. It was bliss Grin
Now I'm trying to be good as next Mon DH and I are off to New York

SylviaDaisyPouncer · 25/06/2013 14:46

Afternoon ChiefsSmile

New York on Monday lego! Have a great time. My friend has just got back and said it was awesome. Your weekend sounded lovely, love barbecues and cake!

Impressive work with the swimming buzzy, and 2lb loss is fantastic.

bssh you have everything under control, you are fab! I'm trying to take your advice on the no snacking. I have found my fat tummy disappearing and I'm sure it's the fasting and attempted non snacking. Playing about with eating times here/ 16:8 but still getting into a routine.

Tea I'm struggling with fast days but did manage yesterday. In fine until the last few hours then all I think about is biscuits (and I'm not a huge biscuit muncher either). However you didn't completely stuff up the fast day....could have been worse! Hope you had a lovely lunch, any cake involved?

My scales are refusing to move....well they read anywhere between 167-163. Lets face it they have never been the best scales, really need to get super duper new ones. However I have just tried on some old clothes from before I had dd. Size 14 dress fits lovelyGrin. I have a pair of trousers and 3/4 length trousers both from a little surfy shop, both never worn as I couldn't get into them. They are size 14/16 and I can do them both up. Not brave enough to venture into trying size 14 jeans on in the shops but its not far off!! Happy happy happy!

Right, must go and see what's happening at Wimbledon. Tennis Tennis

SylviaDaisyPouncer · 25/06/2013 14:48

Ooh lizzy forgot to say well done on the non gain after the camping. Hope the neck is better soon, sure a few nights in your own bed will sort it outSmile

LaundryLegoLunch · 25/06/2013 16:34

sdp I would try Gap and M&S first. The sizes I have managed to get into in those shops is unbelievable! And is avoided Gap for years as I assumed I was too big

Lizzylou · 25/06/2013 18:02

Exhausted just hearing about your weekend Tea!
Lego, weekend does indeed sound fab and wow to NYC baby! Grin
Buzzy, in awe at motivation, swimming that late?!Shock
SPD, I am going by the clothes too. My shape is definitely changing and clothes are looser. Scales not really moving and thighs still bulky though!

Have Metafit tonight, may go for a quick 20/30mins swim afterwards. Others were going last week after class and the thought of cooling off was very tempting! I thought that was late at 8.30pm though Buzzy Grin
