Hmmmm Thai food. Chilli duck is my favourite, yum.
Happy Birthday eve Double Flowers

Metafit seems to have gained me 3lbs overnight? Shock
Must be muscles swelling/water (I drank a lot of water!).

Lizzylou · 19/06/2013 19:44

Hellooooooooooo!
Didn't spin tonight, weather was so nice I went for a run instead. After my first mouthful of midges I may have regretted not being in an air conditioned gym room Grin
Thing is we are away on a camping trip this weekend with some other families, so not much scope for running, definitely no parkrun. Last year with the cooked breakfasts and bbqs I felt horrific and like I had eaten a pig to myself (in cheap sausage form, shudder, never let others choose the food!), we are better prepared this year which will give me more room for wine consumption Grin

How is everyone?

TeaMakesItAllPossible · 19/06/2013 20:07

I'm hungry Lizzy. Really hungry. I only finish tea an hour ago and I could eat a scabby horse between two mattresses. But not Thai. It's not my favourite ever.

Your run sounds like a great idea - the forecast isn't great for the next few days. I hate the wee beasties - we don't have them here unless you're out in the Cotswolds.

I have exercised, fasted and trailed around after a crazy 3YO today for three hours.

Tomorrow I can eat normally and was planning on trying out a new tea emporium with DH tomorrow but he got the call this evening and he's going arf to have his op at 0730. DS4 isn't quite the same sort of company so I may do an early zoo trip if it's nice and get back to Bath for visiting hours.

BsshBossh · 19/06/2013 20:07

Lizzy when I started my weights programme properly and increased it to 3 days a week (this was just after I reached goal weight) I gained 5lbs in a couple of days Shock then I never weighed again until this week and those 5lbs are gone. So don't worry! So, I take it Metafit really worked you?

Okay ladies I am back in weightloss mode. I've decided to try to get my weight completely in the middle of my BMI healthy range and into the 130s. It's going to be tougher cause of my weight training and also, I guess, because my body seems to like its current weight (thank goodness, I guess). I like the way I look naked now but I can see where I can shave off more inches.

So from Monday it's back to strict 5:2 fasting and weekly weigh ins. Still won't be logging calories but will log weight losses on MFP.

Lizzylou · 19/06/2013 20:27

Ah Tea, Cotswolds are between you now and me growing up, before I got embroiled with a Northerner Confused
Bssh, metafit was superfab, loved it.

TeaMakesItAllPossible · 20/06/2013 09:29

Oh I'm so bored of fluctuations. I spent this week fasting and exercising to get down to the weight I was two weeks ago

Welcome back Bssh. Well done at maintaining. Great new goal. I have no doubt you'll be on it like Sonic at the next weigh in.

So I guess my question is am I going to have to give up a weekend of Randalling to get those last two pesky lbs off?

BsshBossh · 20/06/2013 10:41

Tea it's only one weekend. I'd forgo Randalling just this once and try and be good all weekend, that is if you're really desperate to lose the last 2 lbs :)

Lizzylou · 20/06/2013 12:09

Bssh talks sense, Tea. Sorry!

Randalling is only way I will get through this camping weekend, DH has got a bottle of rum ready and has given me a shopping list (he won't be back until late tonight) which mentions WINE!

I have made first step towards getting some teaching practice, have requested a 4 day week, leaves me a day free to do my required 5 days of observation. Fingers crossed (I obviously didn't say why!).

My backside is killing today, must have been those squats at Metafit. I am hobbling along like Mrs Overall.

LaundryLegoLunch · 20/06/2013 12:33

Tea it's funny how some weights 'stick' isn't it? I've gone up and down around the same 2lbs for 2weeks now. I'm on my second fast of the week and have even bought new scales so am weighing tomorrow and hoping to god I've moved at least a bit.

RandallPinkFloyd · 20/06/2013 18:38

TBH Teat I seem to lose at a similar rate whether I Randall or not. As long as I stick within the 8000cals a week it doesn't seem to make any difference. Think it's different for everyone thought isn't it, you just have to do what works for you.

Bssh you really are a machine. There's no stopping you!

Fingers crossed for a nice loss tomorrow Lego.

Soz about the arse ache Lizzy.

Lizzylou · 20/06/2013 18:55

Hurrah, 4 days is approved!
Healthy food bought for camping, will get wine and beer tomorrow.
Fingers crossed Lego!

RandallPinkFloyd · 20/06/2013 19:24

Congrats Lizzy, first step well and truly taken! Enjoy your camping and celebrate boozily Grin

BsshBossh · 20/06/2013 19:29

Fantastic news Lizzy. Now you can really enjoy your weekend! Happy Camping :)

TeaMakesItAllPossible · 20/06/2013 20:59

Lego I think that's it ... I think I'm just stuck .. it seems to make no difference.

If I look at my daily calorie average over the weeks: last week was 500, week before 925, week before 925, week before 750. I fast twice a week. My Randalling very rarely takes me over 2000 calories. I have this last three weekends drunk wine or beer instead of gin a couple of days so perhaps it's that? My carbs intake is up too as a proportion of food - comfort eating with all the crap going on. I also have stopped playing hockey and doing a long road run at the weekend due to ankle, so weight loss loss could be due to that. My foot hurts too much to do either of those so I think what I'll do is fast again tomorrow to make it three times this week, try and fit in a gym session on Sunday - if DH is home from hospital, avoid beer and wine drink gin to make shortage worse. And then if nought happens I will wait a couple of weeks to try again once back to full fitness. I know it seems silly but I want to just do that last 2lbs because it'll take me to a scales victory that frankly I never, ever thought I'd see Grin

That's really exciting Lizzy .... hope the weather is good for the camping.

I quite like Teat as a new name

Lizzylou · 20/06/2013 21:08

Oh teat (love it, v catchy!), I am stuck too. I cannot fit anymore exercise in, my diet is good, my thyroid is normal....
My body looks at least 1/2 stone lighter than it usually does at this weight though Confused
I think I may just stop weighing so much and go with clothes.

You'll be reet Grin

Teat · 20/06/2013 21:26

And that's the thing clothes are still getting bigger! I have an outfit on today which looked ok three weeks ago but today it's hanging off me. But the scales haven't given a little teeny nano lb.

You're right twil be reet. We'll be braw gals regardless of the scales.

Lizzylou · 20/06/2013 21:30

You need to get on the "every woman wants girl babies" thread teat. Thought of you right away! Grin
I have been rather strident on mn this week. Liking it.

Dreading camping. Everyone is lovely who we are going with, just one family has an overly exuberant child who makes mine go to the darkside. Will just go with dhs lead and drink rum, beer and wine Grin

Teat · 20/06/2013 21:40

I saw that thread and did think about moseying on in with my pistols ready to be drawn.

Oh I think you'll have a great time with the rum pretending to be a pirate camping. Mine do that too when they get into a pack though I'm sure DS3 and DS4 are the feral children who cause the problems I'm sure I've said before that DH won't go camping until DS4 is 5 ... at the moment it is looking like a wise tactic to prevent him getting lost - he is so damn independent. Little lovely, bugger. I do fancy a good camp though and getting all camping clean.

I've just thought I might look a little breast obsessed. I may change back before going off to defend having boys.

LaundryLegoLunch · 20/06/2013 21:59

I did comment on that thread with a very wise and thoughtful post Grin.

I just feel fat tonight so I am not expecting a loss, in fact staying the same will be a surprise, and yes like you teat Wink I feel like I'm living like a bloody nun. Grrrr. am in total denial about the fact that I clearly now need to do some exercise and am scared about starting

RandallPinkFloyd · 20/06/2013 22:23

Arf @ Teat suits you! (And is the perfect opportunity for an iPad stealth post as that was to cause of my typo Wink )

I do think that for you exercisers the lb losses will be smaller as your completely changing shape, you must both look so fab. I do understand the symbolism behind reaching that milestone but once you're back to being mobile again they'll come off. I have faith. Smile

I've managed to wean myself off MN almost completely, only really come on here for the Chiefs these days. Sounds like it's a good thing, that thread sounds like it would give me the rage!

RandallPinkFloyd · 20/06/2013 22:24

You're (blush, another typo honest!)

TeaMakesItAllPossible · 20/06/2013 23:06

I'm back.

Ahhh Lego I may have snorted at your wise and thoughtful contribution before adding a load of shitey waffle at page 13 Grin

Did you know the collective noun for nun is superfluity?

Is this what Chiefing has done to us? Lego is living like a nun. My wardrobe is entirely black and white. Randall has faith. By thread four we became nuns.

Happy Birthday to Double

DoubleMum · 21/06/2013 12:56

Thankyou Tea. I must confess I have sinned. This week has been completely taken up with rabbits (fluffy ones), being spayed, going to vets, going back to vets, not eating, buying enticing food for them, stalking weeping willow trees, wrapping in towels and force feeding, cleaning recovery food off ceilings and walls, extra loads of washing ... Thai restaurant had to be cancelled as rabbits had to go back to the vet and be syringe fed. Had takeaway. Had Subway for lunch. Haven't logged. Think I just have to get through all this and start again although I'm aware I seem to keep saying that at the moment.
You've all been so good. I shall draw inspiration from you. You'll have to get your inspiration elsewhere I'm afraid!

OP posts:
buzzybuzzybeeshoes · 21/06/2013 16:50

double sounds very stressful! At least you haven't thrown yourself on the biscuits. And while it's a bugger to have missed out on a free Thai, think of the calorie saving!

Randall I also suffer from a mum who, while lovely, makes ridiculously evil comments. The best one was when I flew to their house for a family funeral and had to get a "fit to fly" letter from the midwife as I was heavily updiffed - 7.5 months iirc. Mum: "Did they ask to see the letter at the airport? Mind you (long appraising look) you don't really look pregnant. You just look... fat." She later tried to claim this was intended as a compliment Shock

I've not been terrible but not been great. Have felt ok about my eating and done a bit of exercise so we shall see.

Tea I really sympathise with those last 2lb! If it's not shifted by your reunion, once that's over could you go on a 1-2 day Randall and then cut right back again? See if that does anything? But also - what an amazing, amazing achievement to get to the point where you can be talking about the last 2lb!!

Lizzy 4 day week, yay!

Well done all losers!

SylviaDaisyPouncer · 21/06/2013 17:57

Happy Friday Chiefs!

And Happy Birthday Double Flowers
I hope those bunnies are okay, stress and eating well do not go hand in hand. Hope you are okay.

Great news on the four day week lizzy, I think you are very brave for making that decision on a career change. Go you! You will be fab!

Hope your ankle (and dh) is on the mend tea. I bet the lack of running is driving you potty. I did laugh at your 2 feral children. My dd is of that nature too and not at all like her rather sensible big brother. Am hoping Pre School can sort her out (as I don't seem able too)!

Bssh, amazing work on maintaining, I'm sure you will reach your new goal. Great to have you backSmile

I have not lost this week which was disappointing. Do you think sleep deprivation could be the cause? Dd is going through another phase of waking through the night. I am terribly grumpy and have become shouty mummy.

Dh is having a thing cut off his toe on Wednesday and expecting attention. I say thing because I don't know what it is but it's big and has been there a while he says. Mind you he has held off having it done until after Sunday as that's the Club Championship at his golf club. For that reason he has little sympathy from me.

Have a fab weekend everyone. I am getting some holiday clothes for ds and dd. Will get my bits in a few weeks when I have hopefully lost some of my rather stubborn fatGrin
