Hey new thread since our old stopping smoking and not gaining-too--much weight has been lost from chat! BOO!!!

I am not a good role model however as I HAVE piled on a stone, well 12 lbs now, since giving up the cigs.
This must be rectified!
Hence joining in the club section!

Donnadoon hope you find this thread.

Everyone else pile in, join and be happy or miserable bastard ex smokers

Aww poor you donna, how you feeling today.

Hope you're managing to eat even a little bit, it's horrible when you keep getting waves of nausea all day. Even more so with small children to look after.

Mine have been saintly this evening, which is just as well as I could have happily auctioned them on eBay the other day!! Grin

Only other news is I feel crabbit and for the first time in ages could go a dozen cigs, work is shit and holiday gloom I suppose! Grin

I'll get over myself!

You take it as easy as you can and hope you're feeling a bit more at yourself.

Catch up later.

Donnadoon · 01/08/2013 21:07

Aww sorry about work
Funny you should mention them, I haven't thought about them for aaaaaages and not fancied one for longer than that.........but.........
I've been here before many times and quit and thought " that's it! No more! " and then fell off the wagon so I still can't say ill never smoke again, because I don't want to jinx myself. But when I'm no longer pregnant and on a rare night out, or if I went back to work even, I reckon I'd be straight back on them...how sad is that? Yet for the last six months and for the next six months obviously I wouldn't touch one with a barge pole. Strange addiction it is...Hmm
Grin
Oh and I'm still feeling grim

FrantasticO · 02/08/2013 08:24

Morning!

Hope your feeling a bit less grim today...2 weeks and you should hopefully feel a bit better if you don't we'll send someone up there an angry email Grin

I'm on form today, getting ready to do the nursery drop and it's not pandemonium for once, the heat is making them drop their game! Heh heh!

It's nearly the weekend and the urge for a cig is gone, funny that it still comes and goes.
Glad you don't feel at all like one, there has to be an upside to the nausea I suppose the thought of a cig would make you hurl?

Hope you manage a bite to eat and get your head down for a while later if the kids are watching a film or napping?

Take it easy and repeat...the second trimester is easy, the second trimester is easy and repeat...

FrantasticO · 04/08/2013 08:15

Ah poor you, I can remember that horrible bone weary tiredness.

You wake up tired...suppose your body is busy building a whole new person, so give yourself a break!Grin

Kids have seen despicable me 2 and new smurfs, so joy of joys we are going to the kids club film, something about fairies I think!
I'm just over the moon I won't have to sell another kidney to fund it! Especially as we are taking a few of their friends as well and kidney selling may be sniffed at by their parents Grin

Snacks packed, now just need to feed them prior to leaving!

Take it easy, your allowed to be shattered just now.
I thought the first 3 months were bone crushingly tiring so at 12 weeks hopefully you'll get some energy back unless it's twins...evil!!! Grin

OP posts:
Donnadoon · 05/08/2013 16:09

Twins ! OMG it would be just my luck! There is some on DHs side and the chances increase apparently the more kids you have and the older you get

Also it's DHs birthday today so we will have people over tonight, but I'm already thinking of getting to bed about 8 pm again Grin
Hope all is well with you
Are you still doing your exercise classes?
How's the holiday pounds dropping off you ?

FrantasticO · 05/08/2013 21:24

Hahahaha! You do make me laugh!
I'm sure you would take twins in your stride.

Have added to holiday poundage as there has been an anniversary and birthdays galore!
Another one tomorrow, then no more birthday cake for a month.

Have been going to the classes, yes, but the bikini fear is not there.
MUST up my game a bit!

Hope your in your bed and getting some much needed zzzzzzzs
I'm off to get some too...kids would wear ya out!

Ha Thanks for the link, Some people are strange arn't they?
We are out again this evening , Must try and stay until about 9pm at least
No plans for tommorrow though
Ive been holiday shopping and I think we are going to book for Lanzarotte in October, never been there and quite fancy a a change.
We were going to leave it until later on in the year but decided not to because to travel over 30 weeks pregnant is a bit of a pain insurance wise and what not.

FrantasticO · 10/08/2013 12:04

Lanzarote sounds lovely, as does sun when it's miserable here!

Tidying in progress and resisting the pie!

Kids are practicing a "show" for later... Will have my game face securely on! Grin

Heading out on bikes later.

Enjoy your evening!

OP posts:
Donnadoon · 10/08/2013 17:01

Awww my kids do shows too , I loves them, they practice all day, make posters and special invites and then we all sit down at say 7pm and watch their little show, but do you what the little buggers have started doing? They go round with an empty bowl asking for money afterwards Shock so these shows are no longer free!! Ha ha I love it!!
Enjoy your show and your bike ride :)

FrantasticO · 13/08/2013 11:32

Hiya donna
How are you feeling today?

I'm in the gloom, can't believe my middle dc is starting school tomorrow, kids are HYPER!
I feel old, I feel clucky, I know I will not be having any more.
Still have my youngest running around and I know I'm being selfish wanting another when it would scupper us all financially...boo hoo!

Going to give myself a swift kick up the jacksie and find a grip!
Ooohhh a cig would be good today...yip today's a belter!!!

Catch up later!
It's not that bad honestly Grin
Just want a moan!

Donnadoon · 13/08/2013 16:09

FrantasticO · 13/08/2013 19:43

Aww donna you always make me smile!

I'm just having a poor me day...have reckoned that we are allowed 3 a year! Grin
It would have been my dads birthday today, but with propping up my mum and being happy mum for the kids, there is no chance to be allowed to be a bit sad.
First day of school for one of my little ones is just adding to my blues

I am a bit of a drama queen!

Am going to readdress the baby question though I know it's not in the families best interest.
Selfish, I need a hypnotist maybe!
Hubby is great but can't feel the pull of wanting anymore when we financially would struggle. bugger, bugger, bugger

Will just enjoy looking forward to your wee bundle arriving!

Thanks for always listening to my moans and always making me laugh!

How's the bump anyway?
Nausea easing up any?
Roll on the second trimester...is that you 14 weeks...so in the second trimester? Whoop whoop!

Catch up later

OP posts:
Donnadoon · 14/08/2013 07:20

FrantasticO · 14/08/2013 07:30

Don't know if I will catch you before you leave for your adventure [gulp]

Enjoy the camping, is it going to be dry?
Suppose that's the only benefit of being Bone tired, you'll sleep anywhere!
Glad nausea easing.
