Mumat39 don't forget my curry recipe... Wink

Marking place

Iamaslummymummy · 18/03/2013 20:39

yama spicy pork belly stew recipe please Grin

timidviper · 18/03/2013 20:45

MyHead Keep the faith! We know this works, it is just a matter of time

I ate fish and chips at lunchtime (went out for Mum's birthday and she chose where we went so no option!) but it wasn't as nice as I'd have hoped so I won't be tempted by that again any time soon which is a positive result for me. If I was still on SW I'd be thinking Feck it and inhaling food by now!

Look for the small victories and, in time, they'll add up!

Yama · 18/03/2013 21:22

I just chopped and fried the pork belly in coconut oil, added a couple of chopped courgettes and then a tin of coconut milk, cayenne pepper, chicken stock and seasoning. Oh, I chucked in a couple of handfuls of spinach towards the end. Served with steamed brocolli.

It was very runny - the type of thing you would only serve to your immediate family. However, they scoffed the lot.

ChippingInIsEggceptional · 18/03/2013 21:26

timid - chips sound good :) I hope that when the time comes and I have one or two I'll feel the same - but it's very hard to imagine Grin

Here's a rope to help you climb back up onto the wagon &&&&&&&&&&

Yama · 18/03/2013 21:31

Oh, and smoked paprika to give it colour.

gloriafloria · 18/03/2013 22:04

Well done everyone, we've done it! My goal was to shed 1 stone by May. Well I've lost just over 20lbs in 10 weeks. I've shrunk and look and feel fantastic, (if I do say so myself!) love this way of eating and this coming from a girl whose previous diet was shamefully 95% carbs. Have had such great compliments and many enquiries about what diet I'm on. Funniest of all is the amount of times I've been asked how much it costs per week! When I say nothing I can see the confused look spread across their faces Grin

Thank you so much BIWI and Willy and all of you for the threads , spreadsheet and support. Although I have not been on here much due to real life commitments I have checked in each week and really couldn't have done so well without you. Thanks a mill xxx

gloriafloria · 18/03/2013 22:24

Meant to add I've gone under the 9st mark (scraped it!) but this is lowest I've been since having the children so really chuffed. Have had a lot of upheaval these last few weeks and it has not always been possible to avoid carbs (other people kindly cooking for us so couldn't be fussy!) So even with these lapses I've stayed on track. Now at my ideal weight so will be working on maintaining.

BecauseImWoeufIt · 18/03/2013 23:58

I love, love, love all these posts! Grin

I'm so pleased to hear about all these fabulous losses. Need to get my own arse into gear now, that's for sure.

ChoosandChipsandSealingWax · 19/03/2013 07:31

Have not had time to read the thread so just posting and running - sorry - got that job so all has been very hectic!

But am 12 pounds down all in all which I'm thrilled about - thanks BIWI for the WOE! Thanks

And well done all round to everyone! You're all brilliant!!!! And I couldn't have done it without all your support, inspiration and brilliant recipes.

Will join you all on the chat thread once things calm down a bit.

ChoosandChipsandSealingWax · 19/03/2013 07:32

Ooh BIWI loving the Easter name!

WillieWEggledEgger · 19/03/2013 07:39

Well done choos - hope the job is going ok and the additional arrangements you had to make are working smoothly!

I arrived at work half an hour ago to find that the meeting room I am using today has been moved from one end of the building to the other practically overnight! I was standing staring at the hot desks where the room used to be just going 'shit'!

LittleFrieda · 19/03/2013 08:36

Had a small bar of Prestat chocolate last night and it was heavenly. It was only 2. Something grammes of carbs in its entirety.

LittleFrieda · 19/03/2013 10:26

Quick, someone say something to hide my chocolate confession. It is OK to have the odd bit of low carb chocolate isn't it? Blush

BlackAffronted · 19/03/2013 11:25

Grin LF! Sounds yummy.

Ive just put an oxtail stew in the oven, to slow cook all day. Im already looking forward to my dinner!

Still doing this leptin reset thing, going great so far. No snacking at all, and can go hours between meals.

JakeBullet · 19/03/2013 11:32

It's been a hectic weekend and a bit Carby. Today I am back on the straight and narrow. I the resting that it takes just a few too many carbs to reignite my sweet craving though Hmm.

Drinking loads of water and had one square of 70% cocoa solid dark chocolate. Might go back to Bootcamp rules for a few days as no way am I undoing the good work I have done so far.

Pork bellies.....how do I get them all crackling skinned? Do I need to score them as I would with crackling? That's my dinner tonight....had a BAB.....2 rashers of bacon and a fried egg.....okay so not that BAB but I just can't do it lol.

Exhausted today due to too much red wine with a friend last night. No sympathy needed as I don't deserve it [brin]

FurryDogMother · 19/03/2013 11:54

Distraught this morning after DH went into the village and found there were NO EGGS!!! It's the post-Paddy's Day effect - hopefully some will be delivered later today. In the meantime I'm about to go make home made Stilton burgers for breakfast/brunch, whilst muttering to myself about the lack of eggs.

prettybird · 19/03/2013 12:11

Yaaay :) After choosing not to register yesterday's weight after my first wobble in 6 weeks while dh was away in Paris I drank plenty of water yesterday and was very good and I am happy to say that this morning's weigh-in was 11 stone and 1lb. That's a lost of two stone and one pound since Boot Camp started ShockShockGrin

Only 2 more pounds to go before 6 April (my 52nd birthday) and I'll make what I thought was an unachievable my goal of breaking 11 stone by then! :):)

Congrats to everyone and many many thanks to BIWI and Willy et al who provided support and wielded when necessary the big stick.

Dh ( handsomebird )has put on 3lb but then he was in in Paris for the weekend for the rugby game and a few beers were partaken of Wink

littlermissstan · 19/03/2013 12:18

Probably a bit naughty, but I've updated the sheet again this morning as lost 2lbs overnight and in my mind that was just the excess wine from Saturday night going away again. So am going to make it nearly 12lbs lost in bootcamp (please don't tell me I am being delusional BIWI)

Am off for lunch of DP's coleslaw which he has become a total expert at, with a bit of salami and maybe some cheeky brie.

prettybird 2 stone is AMAZING!

prettybird · 19/03/2013 14:24

Just measured my waist again (using a belt and which notch I used at the start and which notch I use now as a proxy) and I have lost over TEN centimetres Shock Smile

I love this WOE! Smile

BecauseImWoeufIt · 19/03/2013 15:15
Flowers

Bloody well done!

littlermissstan - I like your slight/subtle name change! - not delusional at all. If that's what the scales said, then that's what the scales said!

LittleFrieda · 19/03/2013 15:50

Pretty bird - wow, you have done amazingly well.

Littlermisstan - well done!

BlackAffronted · 19/03/2013 18:00

Oh my gosh, oxtail stew is amazing! All the fat & sinew breaks down into an unctious sauce and the meat just melts. Just had a bowlful, and have some left for tomorrow. Really was fatastic, and probably very good for this woe due to all the melted, luscious fat that was in it Grin

carbalanche · 19/03/2013 18:04

Another one saying amazing work to Prettybird. I had a look at the spreadsheet and can see that your weightloss has been so consistent and steady. It seems that you were able to have a weekly loss of about 2-3 pounds almost every week which I am so envious of Smile.

I hope you don't mind me asking but what did you do to achieve this? (and I can hear BIWI's voice in my ear shouting "she stuck to the rules!!!")

I managed to lose 15.5 pounds but had 3 consecutive weeks of gain (a total of 7.5 pounds) which I then had to get back off again. Personally my weakness is alcohol which then leads to bad food choices.

Would love to hear how you found the diet and whether you made lots of different meals. I feel I could be a little more adventurous with my own cooking!

If you care to share that would be great but no worries if you don't want to!

Well done to everyone else and thanks again to BIWI Thanks Thanks
