Hi All

Wanted to see if anyone is doing one of these or thinking about it. (If there's already an active thread, I missed it).

I have done LL before, lost three stone in 10 weeks and maintained wonderfully until DC's. Eldest is now four and a half and I think I have probably tried everything going, you name it, I've tried it (Paul McKenna, Paleo, 5:2, Dukan, Weight Watchers, etc).

I know that this works for me, although I understand other peoples objections.
I get paid on Friday and will be contacting a CDC to start on Monday. By the time DS1 is five in June, I intend to be pre DC weight again! Grin

Anyone up for it? Or can give me some support or advice? TIA.

Afternoon everyone, your all doing so well, I love the positiveness on this thread it really helps reading it Smile

Well I started on s&s today, had sweet porridge for breakfast which was nice & a strawberry shake for lunch which was also nice, have had 3 glasses of water so far.

My testing time will be from 3-6pm I am going to try a meal pack tonight maybe spaghetti bolognaise one or chilli anyone had these?

Feeling positive but it's only day 1 really want to stick to this though.

ShootingStarsss · 17/04/2013 13:19

Downside I actually had to stand on the scales this morning Hmm

StairsInTheNight · 17/04/2013 13:21

day 3 and going is tough! Still feeling strong but could have done without DP bringing home a massive white crusty loaf and eating it in front of me Angry. Am having tomato soup and its a bit meh but off to tesco later to find nice tea. :-)

thepatioislumpy · 17/04/2013 13:23

Had both shooting. I had the chilli for lunch on Monday and thought it was ok. Put it this way, when ordering my packs for the next 2 weeks I ordered 4! The spag I've just had and its really quite nice.

I'm a bit of a foodie (hence the mega poundage to lose...) and I was really worried about the foodpacks. I think the packaging put me off as its so clinical. But they're really ok. My friend (who is trying to use up her LL packs) had some of mine off me last night as her LL ones were making her gag. She's had the chilli and the mushroom pasta so far and is really pleased - she says they are soooo much nicer than LL ones. But then, you likes the porridge, which nearly made me sick, so its all personal!

Right, spag done. Now off to do more sorting. I'm thinking if I can control my eating then there's no reason why I shouldn't be able to control everything else in my life. With the added benefit that its keeping me busy!

ShootingStarsss · 17/04/2013 13:26

Thanks patio that's good to hear, I know what you mean by the packets, I have been quite surprised so far it's the "meals" I am more worried about but will report back tonight after I have had one.

milkybarsrus · 17/04/2013 19:00

Not exactly sure what is going on with my body (thats nothing new), but my scales show that I have lost NO weight this week and yet I have stayed on plan 99% of the time! I went and bought new batteries for the scales as I couldn't believe my eyes, it was a total shock to see NO LOSS. I had to tell myself whilst driving back from work, that the scales don't mean everything (I'm lying now) and that I am actually feeling so much better on this diet. I feel lighter, which is the strange thing. So in 3 weeks I have only lost 9lbs which isn't the end of the world, but its not the stone I was hoping for Sad.

Scarey7 · 17/04/2013 19:04

Hey Patio, I'm on Day 3 too and I also tried on all the clothes on today that don't fit me! I want to be in them in 5 weeks time!!!

I done a Body Pump class today and stayed with my usual weights. Didn't have my soup til 2pm which is unusual for me as I normally have to eat by 12 noon. Not feeling hungry yet. So odd?! Feeling slimmer already....

Exciting.
Keep going everyone x

ForYourEyesYoniBrian · 17/04/2013 19:27

milky Do Not Give Up. When I did Pig2Twig (which was great btw, I just have too much to lose now), the week 3 stall was completely normal. Next week you'll see the difference - honest.

We decided (on that forum) that it was as if your body was waiting to see if this was a long term change that required ketosis or if it was a short term starvation mode.

Keep going - I expect you'll have a mega loss next week as long as you keep going and don't cheat!

milkybarsrus · 18/04/2013 06:52

thanks foryoureyes, well I am committed to making this work and sticking with it as we are not financially in a good position and I have invested in a months supply, so I can't afford or justify spending £100 on myself and then not being able to try. I hope that you are right and I lose something this next week? If someone had told me they were eating 600 cals and not losing weight I would be thinking that they were cheating, but I honestly haven't. I have always been a slow loser whatever diet I do, so maybe you're right and this is a 3 week stall, yep thats what I am going to tell myself! Thanks for the support, its just what I needed.

thepatioislumpy · 18/04/2013 07:26

milkybars you cannot possibly do this diet (properly) and NOT lose therefore you WILL see it come off soon. You CAN do this!

ForYourEyesYoniBrian · 18/04/2013 07:58

Silly question I'm sure but have you been to the GP about it? Just wondering if you have a thyroid problem etc.

bbpants · 18/04/2013 08:33

The other thing, Milky, where are you in your monthly cycle? I find that makes a HUGE difference to my weekly losses, and sometimes on the week before my period, I only manage 0.5-1lb. It does all work out the following week, however.

Scarey7 · 18/04/2013 09:39

I used to be a WW leader and I always saw monthly cycle and new exercise makes a diff to the scales but it always shows as a loss the next week. Stick to it.

I feel a bit teary today?! Still determined though.

Have a good day all

StairsInTheNight · 18/04/2013 10:37

Day 4 today. Have lost 7lbs! I know is water weight but I dont care! Grin

On Milky, thats disheartening- but water retention etc can happen- you'll prob lose a lot next week, dont give up!

Its true that paying for the packs makes it easier to stick to the diet.

BloggingAboutTediousThings · 18/04/2013 10:45

Hi, I haven't really lost weight this week. Wasn't 100% strict but will start running again tonight and then I am always stricter with my diet anyway.

thepatioislumpy · 18/04/2013 11:11

Doing fine. Day 4 for me too. Despite severe provocation in other areas of my life I've not resorted to my usual emotional frenemy - binge eating and I am so proud of myself. I'm really going to do this. I can feel my jeans beginning to get a little less tight looser already Grin

ForYourEyesYoniBrian · 18/04/2013 16:54

Hmm. I am feeling a bit sick - is that normal? I will go and drink some more water.

I'm feeling better today- finally! Less hungry. Haven't felt sick yet, hope I avoid that!

Loved the mulled wine drink. Mm.

ShootingStarsss · 18/04/2013 19:15

Day 2 for me complete, struggling a bit am hungry but I will not give in Grin

Not really liking any of the meals, so looks like I will have to live on porridge, shakes & a bar, although not tried the soup yet am going to try 1 tomorrow.

Bring on day 3.

Well done everyone keep going it will be worth it in the end!

Not felt sick yet, maybe try some water.

ForYourEyesYoniBrian · 18/04/2013 19:26

I have just had a looksie at the slim n save forum and they have a swap system if you have packs you don't like.

Not feeling so bad now, I think it's just getting into ketosis (well fingers crossed anyway).

ShootingStarsss · 18/04/2013 19:29

Foryour I think I will have a look at the swap bit I have some meals here I won't be using, thank you Smile

Scarey7 · 18/04/2013 20:20

I love seeing everyone's progress on here especially as some of us are on the same days.

I'm going to have a sneaky weigh in on my scales tomorrow to see how I'm doing. Day 4 and I haven't really felt hungry yet. Just done a Body Combat class and felt really energised!

We can and will do this. 5 weeks tomorrow til my holiday so have my goal set firmly in my mind. My biggest challenge is this weekend. I don't think I've ever had a weekend that I haven't drunk alcohol since I was 18 and I'm 36 now!!!

ShootingStarsss · 18/04/2013 20:44

I have just realised I think I am doing it wrong Hmm

I think I am doing the lifestyle plan but I didn't know you can have a meal !

No wonder I am hungry Grin

ShootingStarsss · 18/04/2013 20:44

What plans are others doing on the slim and save?
