Hi All

Wanted to see if anyone is doing one of these or thinking about it. (If there's already an active thread, I missed it).

I have done LL before, lost three stone in 10 weeks and maintained wonderfully until DC's. Eldest is now four and a half and I think I have probably tried everything going, you name it, I've tried it (Paul McKenna, Paleo, 5:2, Dukan, Weight Watchers, etc).

I know that this works for me, although I understand other peoples objections.
I get paid on Friday and will be contacting a CDC to start on Monday. By the time DS1 is five in June, I intend to be pre DC weight again! Grin

Anyone up for it? Or can give me some support or advice? TIA.

Woke up this morning feeling a bit faint, but much better after one of the bars.

Managed to get the baby off to sleep without a bf last night, which is good going, although she was feeding on and off between 4 and 6:00am.

I do 'feel' lighter, although maybe is all the water flushing through. Am being a bit naughty and had a diet coke yesterday, with an early grey tea to start the day - although belive these are allowed on the Cambridge version so not overly worried.

Have been reading a bit about ketones/toxins going into breast milk bit am trying not to worry. Am sure it can't do that much damage especially considering the gin I used to drinkBlush

Hi can I join you all please? I started Cambridge diet ss on Saturday. I'm finding it really easy have only cheated once last night by eating some chicken. Weighed myself this morning as I couldn't resist and iv lost 10 lbs!! I'm over the moon. Had a baby five months ago and despite breastfeeding couldn't shift the extra two and a half stone so iv taken drastic measures was 13stone 12 Saturday and I'm 13stone 2 this morning my goals 11stone 6 to get back to pre pregnancy size which makes me a 12 I'm 5foot 9 then I may continue to 10stone6 depending on how I feel because I'm getting married next march and would like to be a ten but I may look to slim then because of my height.

Looking forward to getting to know you all!

Jen1610 · 12/06/2013 10:37

Signora I'm still breastfeeding at night. Iv read loads on it and because we are drinking sooooo much water we will be flushing the toxins out our body's very quickly and there won't be much if any in the breast milk!

TenbyChristmas · 12/06/2013 13:54

Wowserz, £40 is really good, I thought it would have been more expensive than that and you've had cracking results! My mouth feels like the dog slept in it Blush

smokinaces · 12/06/2013 16:21

Mine came today for tomorrow. Looks good, but mucked up a bit on the lunch ideas as I didn't realise he pasta and meals need a microwave, I thought they were like mug shots. So need to replan lunch - bar and a green salad I think.

But all looks good. Will have to plan better next order though as work were being nosey about what was in the box!

TenbyChristmas · 12/06/2013 19:12

Ooh was craving a bottle of wine like crazy BUT instead of going to wine shop stopped at shop and bought slimline tonic water and sparkling water for my SS water mix. Feeling tres smug at the mo. one temptation sideswiped. I want into those jeans more than Wine
One day at a time!

painforlife · 12/06/2013 20:22

hey fabulous ladies ur all doing so amazing :) well I'm still unwell so barely keeping food down - plus side I think I'm losing weight but its in the wrong way! have not touched my S&S sachets yet.

wowser - I mis read ur post about the wrap & was thinking to myself wow what ingredients are in this wrap that it cost you £40 LOL. then I read it properly Blush well done that sounds like a fabulous result :)

I'm thinking once I'm over whatever this is I will just need to make sure I maintain the losing streak but with the way I'm feeling atm I'm not very motivated :(

painforlife · 12/06/2013 20:25

oh I've been moving from a size 16 bottoms as they are getting looser for me to a size 14 hopefully in aanother week's time I'll be in them :)

freckles21 · 12/06/2013 21:59

Well done everyone. Biggest challenge came today. At work we had a chef come in and do a healthy family bake. He made some gorgeous things, smells coming from kitchen were amazing. Normally when he comes in, I am the first to start eating and would pick constantly until it was all gone. However today, I avoided it all, didn't even pick a crumb. Even managed to cut some up for my dc, wrap it and still haven't touched it.
Soo proud, reason-new swimming costume that arrived yesterday in smaller size for my holiday. I'm with Tenby, kinda smug feeling.
Hope you begin to feel better pain, and good luck wowser with the new beginning.
Going to look into that wrap too. Grin

SconeInSixtySeconds · 12/06/2013 22:42

Hi there pain, sorry to hear that you are feeling so poorly. Lucky you getting into 14s, mine are a way off yet. I reckon another stone should do it!

Well done freckles, what an iron will! I am both envious and amazed at having a chef come to work - so much temptation..

I managed not to eat neither the licorice fudge that was practically thrown at me, nor the fish and chips that my parents bought for themselves, nor the chinese they got for the dc.

And in fact, the prawns that were in the fridge earmarked for tea tasted really really weird, so I have just had a little gem lettuce for dinner. TOTM is just about to start too. Had a lovely laugh at the Apprentice though - time for bed!

smokinaces · 12/06/2013 22:54

Well I am aiming for a thirty day challenge. Starting tomorrow am. I reckon with the extra crap I've had yesterday and today it will be a starting weight of 11st 1 or so. So keen to see what a month does - would be lovely to lose a stone.

smokinaces · 12/06/2013 22:56

Scone and freckles, amazing willpower!!! Really brings home the "nothing tastes as good as being slim feels"

SconeInSixtySeconds · 13/06/2013 07:10

I think what I have found really interesting is that when I did low carb a few years ago there were certain take-away foods that I thought were ok. This time I have noticed the lack of yucky breath that they knock me out of ketosis so it is useful to know for later!

TenbyChristmas · 13/06/2013 08:30

Morning all -we're all very chipper this morning - we're all doing really good!Scone I'm the same as you- I think another stone and I'd be into the size 14 jeans so that's my mission-by the end of June would be fabulous so as soon as I get the housework done and the dog walked I'm hitting the gym Grin
Think I'll take them out and hang them on the front of the wardrobe so I can see them when I'm tempted!
Really glad I sidestepped the vino last night - when I'm down its the first thing I'm tempted to reach for over crisps or chocolate.
Have a fabulous day everyone x

bbpants · 13/06/2013 09:02

Hiya all, and hello especially to all our new recruits if I haven't said 'hello' already! Some brilliant losses going on here.

Back on track this week after my PMT-driven weekend. So I am hoping for that there will be a loss for my weigh in tomorrow but am accepting that it will be small.

I am, however, looking forward to my first alcoholic drink for 2 months on Saturday! Am planning on having some carbs with lunch on Saturday to ensure I'm out of ketosis on Saturday night - I'm hoping that will do the trick?

I WILL be back on plan on Monday. One thing I have seem to be able to have done on this diet is to shrug the failure off and get back on it if I've had a slip. That something I've always struggled with in past with other diets - a vicious circle of 'ooo I've slipped, might as well keep eating crap now'. I'm hoping this bodes well when I'm learning to maintain.

Keep at it everybody!!

Jen1610 · 13/06/2013 09:09

Thanks so much for the welcome bbpants have a great weekend!

SignoraStronza · 13/06/2013 09:23

Good morning everyone. Think I'm finally in ketosis as an feeling quite chipper this morning. Had a prawn salad for dinner last night and admit to a couple of spoonfuls of fat free mayo to stop it tasting bluurgh. However, didn't use quite the amount of prawns (-50g?) or cooked veg allowed (200g of leaves is an awful lot) so hope is ok.

Think I'm getting a bit obsessive now. Am wearing my size 14 linen trousers today and they are comfortable rather than massively tight, so maybe at least some of the retained water is going. Grin

Lovely to hear how everyone is getting on.

SignoraStronza · 13/06/2013 09:27

Forgot to say - Jen am glad there's another bfder among us. You've put my mind at rest. Am secretly hoping it will help shift it a bit quicker. Wink

KrazyKurls · 13/06/2013 09:35

Morning all, have you room for a not so little one?

On day three of cambridge and very surprised by how well I've found it, think its the water - I had no idea how bad I was at drinking water!

Also BF my 11 month old, I know it's not the done thing but hoping it can work for us! Have actually noticed an increase in my supply! Some brilliant losers here Grin very inspiring.

Jen1610 · 13/06/2013 17:44

Me too SignoraStronza haha!

Hey KrazyKurls I'm on day 6 my consultants just been and I'm 10lb down so 27 to go!! I'm also bf at night only can't say iv noticed an increase in supply.

smokinaces · 13/06/2013 18:22

Evening :-) justt about to make my third pack of the day, found slipping back into a vlcd suprisingly easy. Roll on the weight coming off!!

MyJellybean · 13/06/2013 18:57

Evening all and welcome newbies.

Am very proud of myself today as I dropped my colleagues off for a pub lunch today and went to one of the other offices where they had Pilates. As Smokin stated 'nothing tastes as good as being slim feels', we'll said Smile

KrazyKurls · 13/06/2013 19:10

Wow jen that's amazing! Bet you feel great! I notice a difference in my stomach already, the bloat is going.

I've got 3 stones to lose and really feel ready for it, had 3 children in 4 years so it's time to reclaim my body Grin

Hope everyone's had a good day, I feel really energised!

smokinaces · 13/06/2013 20:05

Yeay jelly!

I had the slim and save chill con carne for dinner. Was pleasantly suprised! And not now hungry, just at the point in the evening I would pick. Might have to go to bed early - or god forbid study - instead!

Jen1610 · 13/06/2013 21:42

Evening all, I'm actually feeling the best iv felt in YEARS! Full of energy. Been out a 3mile walk today and I'm just back from doing the couch to 5k with my sister in law. I'm sooo ready for a lifestyle change, lose weight, get healthy exercising and just live a cleaner life :) got some new flavours from my consultant today - chocolate orange which I really didn't like which surprised me!! Roll on the next few weeks and all of us being skinny Minnie's :)
