Hi All

Wanted to see if anyone is doing one of these or thinking about it. (If there's already an active thread, I missed it).

I have done LL before, lost three stone in 10 weeks and maintained wonderfully until DC's. Eldest is now four and a half and I think I have probably tried everything going, you name it, I've tried it (Paul McKenna, Paleo, 5:2, Dukan, Weight Watchers, etc).

I know that this works for me, although I understand other peoples objections.
I get paid on Friday and will be contacting a CDC to start on Monday. By the time DS1 is five in June, I intend to be pre DC weight again! Grin

Anyone up for it? Or can give me some support or advice? TIA.

Well Done Sassee, 10lb is great. Keep focused its well worth it in the end. Just imagine how much you'll be down in a month.

TenbyChristmas · 11/06/2013 07:46

Sasses well done! That's a great result! I'm aiming for something similar this week as on it 100% - had a few blips last week plus TOTM. Are you exercising?

painforlife · 11/06/2013 11:43

hey ladies thanku for all ur lovely inspiring messages. so sorry haven't returned any of them been really really sick with some kinda stomach bug. dizziness, being sick n so on just about recovered today I think. so give myself some recovering time before getting stuck into S&S. at least being sick has kept the scales from going up I've hardly been eating just drinking lots of water. I think im gonna use this to my advantage stomach is now used to drinking lots of water & hunger panes r under control!!!

painforlife · 11/06/2013 11:48

well done to everyone losing - its inspiring to read it & gives me hope :)

SignoraStronza · 11/06/2013 12:04

Can I join you? Am on day 2 of the Slim & Save 'Lifestyle' plan. Woke up really ratty this morning but hope I'll be in ketosis soon and the euphoria sets in!

Did Cambrige before I moved in with dh and was pg with dc2, which worked really well. Pg was quite tough though as I started off a little heavier than I should have been and then ate too much cake, so if we're going to try for a third I want my starting bmi to be right at the low end.

Would like to lose at least 3 stone (am 11st 5lbs) as am only 5ft and every lb shows! Weirdly enough is all on my legs and bum. Have a condition which makes me retain fluid and the vlcd/low carbon diets really seem to help the cankle situation too.

DC2 is almost one and am also moving towards giving up bf so am having to think about the amount of formula she's getting. I'm also going to not drink the compulsory 150ml of milk on some days and increase some meal portions (i.e. cottage cheese) to that of the Cambridge diet ones.

smokinaces · 11/06/2013 16:37

Hello! Can I jump in for a wee while?

I did cambridge 18months ago and went from 13st 9 to 10st 12. I then after six months on low carb last summer dropped to 10.4. However winter has crept on me and im back to 10.13. I need to shift it, low carbs just isn't doing it (think my portion size is an issue) so I have after a month of getting no where signed up for an initial two weeks on slim and save.

My two weeks of three a day (planning on green salad as other meal like now) come tomorrow for me to start Thursday. Looking forward to it already :-)

Aiming for a stone initially. Only did two weeks as money wise easier, but will no doubt need a month. I'm only 5 ft 4 so all weight notices!

freckles21 · 11/06/2013 18:52

Weigh in today, my dodgy scales said one thing, weighed on the health visitor scales and have lost 9lbs, soooo happy. Really enjoying this, still get hungry but boossh has a higher carb rate than some other vcld's. wowzer, I hope you are okay, well done Tenby and sassee and good luck to pain, smokin and signora.

MyJellybean · 11/06/2013 20:03

Well done Freckles. Doing well. I was suppose to be back on 3 Exante products only today but left the third one too long and ended up having some prawns and salad with it. Must get back off food from tomoz as still got 2 stone to lose.

Welcome Smokin and Signora good to hear from some that have done VLCD before as this is my first time and I'm 17lb down in 4 months but my plan is to use VLCD again if weight starts to creep back on after I get to target.

smokinaces · 11/06/2013 20:12

I always was anti them, until I did it. And kept it off more or less. I just want to get way below my bmi this time and back in my summer wardrobe from last year!

CuppaTea83 · 11/06/2013 20:54

I'm calorie counting- I'm not sure it will be classed as a VLCD.

I'm trying to remain under 1000 cal for the first week then up to 1200. But I'm tempted to stay under 1000 if I can manage it.

Is anybody else eating this sort of amount or are you on much much less and putting me to shame? Grin

SconeInSixtySeconds · 11/06/2013 21:40

Freckles that is fantastic! 9pounds wow. Grin

Hi smokin and signora, come and join in- the more posts and posters the merrier!

We are on about 650 Cuppa Grin but then we know that we get a full rda of everything so in some ways it is the easy way out!

Weigh in day for me tomorrow. I have my eye on something rather pretty and frivolous in the wallis sale if I get a good result..

MyJellybean · 11/06/2013 22:00

Lol cuppa. I don't think I could survive on 650 coals in food but with the packs and bars it seems so eay.

CuppaTea83 · 11/06/2013 22:07

Ooh why did that send again? How odd.
Well, I'm glad it works for you- you're stronger than I. Grin

SconeInSixtySeconds · 11/06/2013 22:13

I was a total sceptic, honestly. This thread made me think perhaps it might be worth a try. I started on April 17th at a pound shy of 17stone. Last week I was 14st 8.

freckles21 · 11/06/2013 22:17

For me it is just to have control, when I am eating normally I pick and eat things without realising, I need to have a complete break from food in order to break my bad habits. I miss food, but I'm enjoying the variety of my shakes etc. just had a yummy vegetable tikka and my little treat that I have when I finish work is a choc chip dessert, with real choc chips. It is yum.
Cuppatea if you have the will power to stick 1000 calories and monitor your portions then you will lose weight. You kinda get used to it, and I know when I come to start eating proper food again I will enjoy it. Lol. Good luck cuppatea I read somewhere if you eat off a blue plate, it tricks your mind into thinking you are full. :)

freckles21 · 11/06/2013 22:20

Wow scone, that is really good. It's this thread that inspired me to do a vcld, I am a person that researches and reviews everything and stumbled across this. I don't normally go onto forums but this has given me the confidence to do so and to share my experiences with like minded others. Oh I'm getting .all mushy Blush

CuppaTea83 · 11/06/2013 22:46

Thanks for that tip freckles

sammac · 11/06/2013 23:08

Well done freckles and sassee, inspiring start. Welcome smokin, signora and cuppa. Glad that you've read positive things into this thread.

I am really hungry tonight - my tummy is making huge noises. No reason for this, bt I could eat a scabby horse right now. But instead it's off to bed.

Ps strutted about work in my new size 14 linen trousers yesterday - from next -so bought another pair in a different colour. That should see me through the next 2 weeks till I stop for the summer holidays. Finally ditched my size 18s as they looked dreadful. Can't believe that less than 3 months ago I was bursting out them Blush

SconeInSixtySeconds · 12/06/2013 07:09

Another 2pounds down, which brings me to the 2 and a half stone mark!

sammac · 12/06/2013 07:23

Great stuff scone. Had a wee sneaky weigh in this morning myself and scales def down. Not too sure compaed with my official weigh in but good news here too Smile

Wowserz129 · 12/06/2013 07:42

Well done on your losses everyone! I have had the last three days off the diet although I have struggled to eat more than 800 calories in a day so not gone wild or anything. I am still 184, if I don't get into the 170s soon I am going to lose the will to live haha!!

On another note I had a shrinking violet wrap yesterday and lost 20 inches all over! The shrinking violet is the one that targets your fat cells so its not water you lose and so if you eat well it stays off!

TenbyChristmas · 12/06/2013 07:59

Morning everyone. Oh I am definitely in ketosis, absolutely could have keeled over with tiredness last night and had a headache but feel a million dollars this morning and have definitely noticed that I'm not as bloated. No hunger either. Getting to this point is worth the initial crappiness lol

Pain, hope you've recovered from your bug!

Wowserz, really interested in that wrap you had! Was it expensive?

Wowserz129 · 12/06/2013 08:25

Yay to ketosis! I have to go through that whole malark again but hoping it won't be as bad as the first time!

It was £40 for the wrap but sooo worth it because my size 14 trousers are lose now as I lost 2 inches from my waist! I only got it because my friend went from a size 14 top to a 10 getting them done. She had 7/8 though I think! Was worth it for a pre holiday boost!
