Hi All

Wanted to see if anyone is doing one of these or thinking about it. (If there's already an active thread, I missed it).

I have done LL before, lost three stone in 10 weeks and maintained wonderfully until DC's. Eldest is now four and a half and I think I have probably tried everything going, you name it, I've tried it (Paul McKenna, Paleo, 5:2, Dukan, Weight Watchers, etc).

I know that this works for me, although I understand other peoples objections.
I get paid on Friday and will be contacting a CDC to start on Monday. By the time DS1 is five in June, I intend to be pre DC weight again! Grin

Anyone up for it? Or can give me some support or advice? TIA.

Well done wowser! That is superb! I hope you feel really proud of yourself, that was so great.Grin

Mine is def pmt. I have sobbed over nothing and the scales are fairly static. Hey ho.

Freckles, the toast still contains carbs even if it is low gi - it just means it releases them more slowly - so it does seem like you may have postponed ketosis a bit. Keep going and eat protein or veg if you are hungry.

Hey jelly, it is hard when you are away from home but I have just looked back through the thread and this is you week 3 right? Notorious for stalling in week 3, so don't take it personally, just keep going and the whoosh will come!

bb - you did it! Yay!

Anyone seen pain recently?

Wowserz129 · 08/06/2013 08:12

Thanks scone! Scales read 183 this morning so pretty much back to where I started. Maybe I will get a prize for worst losses in the first 2 weeks on slim and save haha. After Monday which is weigh in day I will go back to reporting weekly but I feel the need to write it down here this week as when I am not losing much I start feeling like what's the point, cheating etc..

Last I remember pain had had a bad first day and waivered off plan. Are you still here pain?

TenbyChristmas · 08/06/2013 08:32

Morning all. God this weather is glorious! I find heat kills my appetite plus I am deffo in ketosis which is great. Weekends are my tempting time so I'm determined to stay busy. Will miss vino with the BGT final tonight though but I'll just pretend my water mix is the real thing... Grin
Just had my morning shake, hitting the shower thn working my way through the list which includes hoovering/cleaning, gym, walking the dog and a quick run to the gym and post office. Then I might take a wee recline in the sun later. Brown fat is infinitely better looking than white! Wink have a great day everyone, eyes on the prize!! X

PS Wowserz you deserve a medal for side stepping the Chinese!!

nailslikeknives · 08/06/2013 10:21

Marking place as I really need to pick a diet and all your opinions are so interesting.
Congratulations on all your weight losses, very inspiring.

MyJellybean · 08/06/2013 14:26

Thanks scone, it's week 4 that I am in which is my eating week. I've been sticking to meat/fish with vegetables/salad but no budge. Although pmt may be a factor.

I agree with Tenby, I don't think I could have avoided the Chinese Wowserz. Good on you.

mrsfossil · 08/06/2013 14:50

does anyone know where I can get urine sticks from. I want to check if i'm in ketosis. Doing Cambridge, having 3 packs a day plus a meal from the list.

sammac · 08/06/2013 15:35

Today's weigh in saw a loss of 3lbs, which brings total to 42 1/2 - 3 stone way hay in 67 days. Another girl who started the same day hit the 3 stone mark too. Wanted a badge or something Smile

The was thoroughly downed by my mum - I had taken some clothes to her and got the comment' why are you giving me them cos just need them again' -grrrr. Told her not to be so negative and show some social graces.

This weather def. needs some flesh showing and we're all owing less than before.

sammac · 08/06/2013 15:37

Obviously, showing not owing!!!

SconeInSixtySeconds · 08/06/2013 15:56

What a fabulous result Sammac. Well done!

MyJellybean · 08/06/2013 18:11

Well done sammac. I can't believe the negativity of some people, what with your mums response and other people's friends. I have had comments about what happens when l stop eating the packs, but now I know how quick this works I will allow myself a highest limit and then if need be go back on it for a month. Keep up the good work Wink

bbpants · 08/06/2013 19:44

Great loss sammac! And ignore your mum - you are doing SO well.

Wowserz - you did brilliantly ignoring the Chinese. And ten by - keeping busy is def. the answer at weekends.

bbpants · 08/06/2013 19:45

Sorry mrsfossil - I haven't had any of the sticks but I'm sure people have got the through boots or amazon

SconeInSixtySeconds · 08/06/2013 19:54

If it is possible to gorge on chicken I have just done so. I think I need an early night.

Wowserz129 · 08/06/2013 23:50

I think although I am getting on fine. I might leave the thread and VLCD. I just feel like if it is 2/3 pound losses a week etc that I could achieve that without doing VLCD and not deprive myself. I don't think it would be a bad thing for me to do some exercise either, some proper exercise. I will see how I feel once I wake tomoro.

So many on here have had great losses though so keep it upGrin

bbpants · 09/06/2013 09:18

I may have had a jelly baby/ginger nut crisis last night - oops. However, today is another day. Off to friends BBQ - hoping that meat and salad will be available.

Wowserz - I understand where you're coming from - you've got to do what suits you. If you decide to try something else, do pop in occasionally and let us know how you're getting on!

sammac · 09/06/2013 09:27

Wowser, good luck in continuing, do let us know how you're getting on. You're off to a good start Smile

TenbyChristmas · 09/06/2013 09:52

Wowserz I would be really sad to see you go Sad
Having done the CD before the counsellor told me that you lose a stone a month. I really don't think I personally could achieve that on a normal calorie control diet or even low carb diet. I know I've dieted normally in the past and worked out like crazy but never managed to maintain a 3lb weight loss week in week out. It always amazes me when I watch the shows such as A year to save my life etc and they drop 100lbs in 3 months. They must just work out the entire day. It never shows you what their diet is like but I'd imagine it must be VLCD or like a juice diet or something. Maybe its because those people are reallllly obese and have so much to lose that it ones off quicker?
Yes it's bloody hard though, sticking to any diet and especially a VLCD. But you sidestepped the Chinese! You have it in you!!
I love the gym and exercise will help you even more and gives you a good feeling. I see the skinny biatches in their spray on Lycra outfits and just think that's why I'm here and doing the diet. So I can get a body that I'd be relaxed about showing off in the gym in proper gym gear as opposed to my baggy trackies and tee shirts like I do now. Eyes on the prize lol
I'm really pumped at the minute as the weather here is fabulous and I am not able to enjoy it as I'm too fat to wear shorts and vest tops. I swear this is the last summer I'll be a fatty. I'm so cross with myself for getting to this point that its fuelling my motivation.
Oops appear to have rambled on a bit........Blush

SconeInSixtySeconds · 10/06/2013 09:05

Morning everyone. Still here and my mood is starting to lift so hopefully pmt is over . Weight still fairly static (showing a loss of around two pounds this week) but I am feeling better, so onward and downwards!

Wowser lovely, it is fine to want to do something different, it must be made so much harder with your family on at you. I would love to know how you get on though, so come back and tell us ok?

Now the next problem is someone has apparently stolen my waist Angry instead I am now pretty much straight up and down. Grr. So this week I am going to see what I can do to find it again.

bbpants · 10/06/2013 11:37

Yay Scone! I sympathise re: the waist thing. I was horrified when I did my measurements after losing a couple of stone to discover that my chest and waist measured EXACTLY the same. Must meaure again, actually, haven't done it for a while.

My jellybean/gingernut incident on saturday and a subsequent cereal lapse on Sunday night has been explained by the appearance of my period this morning. So I'm hoping the gain on the scales I saw this morning will be temporary.

However, I need to get out of the habit of putting on over the weekend and losing during the week - my losses will slow down to nothing. Next weekend is my planned weekend off - after that, I want to be back on the diet with NO cheating whatsoever, for a final five weeks blitz.

TenbyChristmas · 10/06/2013 12:47

Six pounds off as of this morning! With a couple of blips too. Well pleased. Socially I have nothing planned now for another couple of weeks so going to get into a good run at this and hopefully be a stone or two down in no time!

bbpants · 10/06/2013 14:34

Well done Tenby, that's fab!

TenbyChristmas · 10/06/2013 14:55

Thanks bb. Just back from the gym. Circuits in the morning. Determined that I won't wobble when I lose the weight. I wobble enough now

MyJellybean · 10/06/2013 21:46

1 1/4lb off this week. This was my week with food. Can't wait to get back on Total Solution from tomoz.

Well done Tenby, 6lb is great.

Sassee · 10/06/2013 22:14

Week 1 done, 10lbs down! Pleased about that but it really is taking all my will power right now. I'm surround shouldn't feel hungry and I'm positive my stomach should not rumble, grrr!

Determined to stay focus but it's so hard. Trying to stay busy, that helps but on days when I'm stuck in with the baby it's really tough.

Made DH eat all the magnums in the freezer before he went out in Saturday night, not sure he'll thank me for that!

SconeInSixtySeconds · 10/06/2013 22:38

That is a really great result Sassee! Don't worry about still feeling hungry, that is when water/tea comes in handy.

You will get used to it, honest. And to me blathering on. Grin
