Hi All

Wanted to see if anyone is doing one of these or thinking about it. (If there's already an active thread, I missed it).

I have done LL before, lost three stone in 10 weeks and maintained wonderfully until DC's. Eldest is now four and a half and I think I have probably tried everything going, you name it, I've tried it (Paul McKenna, Paleo, 5:2, Dukan, Weight Watchers, etc).

I know that this works for me, although I understand other peoples objections.
I get paid on Friday and will be contacting a CDC to start on Monday. By the time DS1 is five in June, I intend to be pre DC weight again! Grin

Anyone up for it? Or can give me some support or advice? TIA.

But that is half a pound down wowser oh yes I can obsess about other people's weight as well as my own keep it up! Considering the carbs on Tuesday I think that is great going.

Wowserz129 · 06/06/2013 09:49

Honestly Scone it's so weird because after the blip on Tuesday I have felt the exact same as I did on Monday. I was expecting some kind of change after eating a burger and some cake.

Still hacked off at myself though because I could have been below 13 stone this week if I didn't eat that mea l. Trying not to get disheartened as I only have 3 weeks after this week until my lodge break and feels like I would have hardly made a dent in my weight loss towards when I go to America and I am bound to put on a few pounds on holiday. Blush

SconeInSixtySeconds · 06/06/2013 09:55

It will have made you hold onto some water, hopefully it didn't knock you out of ketosis and you seem to feel ok, so that is good.

Just think, you could easily be half a stone down in three weeks, plus the half stone approx you are already down. You will look great!

Wowserz129 · 06/06/2013 10:25

Think I am just having one of those days where I am feeling disheartened and have to fight to resist temptation not to eat. Has my bar already today Hmm

Doesn't help just got a tesco food shop and there a cupboard full of goodies through there.

Hopefully a couple pounds will come off over the weekend so I am not above 13 stone on my Monday weigh in!

SconeInSixtySeconds · 06/06/2013 10:34

I am having one of those days too. Looked in the mirror nekkid this morning and just thought yeuch.

I reckon it is the weather being all grey and a dash of pmt thrown in for good measure. Plus I haven't cleaned the house all week and I hate even looking at it.

Wowserz129 · 06/06/2013 11:04

You still have to think how far you have come when you look in the mirror scone! I honestly think I need to bind my hands together as I keep walking to the kitchen and thinking will I, wont I.

bbpants · 06/06/2013 12:37

Scone - you're doing SO well - PMT's a bitch, it really is. I've just looked at the date and realised mine will be kicking in sometime in the next few days. It ALWAYS makes me feel bloated and hungry.

Wowserz - I reckon you'll have have one of those days when you're in and out of the loo, and you'll have lost those two pounds! Sunday was the day I lost the plot (chocolate and pringles, anybody?!), and, as of this morning, I've got back to where I was last Friday. Yesterday, I went to the loo three times in half an hour at one point, and I lost 1.5 lbs overnight!! So if your bad day was Tuesday (and if your body works in a similar way to mine) Fri/Sat should see your 'water woosh'!!

Weigh in day for me tomorrow, so I am very focussed today! Suspect staying the same will be the outcome, but it would be FABULOUS if I've lost any. Smile

Wowserz129 · 06/06/2013 16:36

I hope so! I keep worrying I am not drinking enough as on all the forums people say the more you drink the more you lose. I am trying hard for 2 litres a day! Have managed today so far without cheating.

Thinking about trying the mushroom pasta for tea. I have found the cheesy pasta really nice but the pasta is always quite hard even after I soak it before I cook it :/.

TenbyChristmas · 06/06/2013 20:34

Opened my choc truffle bar to find it was something completely different! Was white choc for a start lol kinda peanutty?! Made me chuckle. Easy amused am I lol
Good day today despite getting period, grrrr
Didn't exercise today but hitting the gym in the morning for half an hour on crosstrainer and some weights.
Be interested to hear feedback on the slim and save meals before I make a purchase. Any to avoid like the plague?

Wowserz129 · 06/06/2013 20:39

For slim and save I find the cheesy pasta sauce really nice over broccoli . I have started picking the pasta bits out as I can never get them soft no matter how long I boil them!

Chilli con carne is really really nice!

Don't like the spaghetti but know others do!

TenbyChristmas · 06/06/2013 20:53

Cheers Wowserz! I had a very trying day yesterday and hit the vino last night. For some reason I had no gain this morning on the scales. Wipes brow in relief
Did good today just a bit tired (monthlies!)
Had a nice glass of the wine flavoured water mix, it's quite a weird but pleasant taste. Not vino like but I put it in a wine glass to fool myself lol Wine
You doing okay? X

Wowserz129 · 06/06/2013 21:31

That's good, I thought about buying some water/wine flavouring but wasnt sure it would be worth the money? Do you think it is?

I am doing okay now thanks. Had to fight with myself earlier but made it through with one bar , 2 packs made into brownies and the chilli con carne with broccoli!

Wowserz129 · 07/06/2013 07:48

184.5 this morning so 13 2 and a half still not back to where I was last weigh in and just getting hacked off now! I didn't eat that much on Tuesday. A burger bun and a slither of cake was the only thing I ate which I shouldn't have so don't understand how!

TenbyChristmas · 07/06/2013 08:06

It's 4.99 for the tub but you only use a teaspoon of it so it should last a while. I'd recommend it. Wine is the main thing I struggle with while dieting I'd got into a very bad habit of reaching for a glass every night.
I'm down to 223 so that's 3lbs since Monday with a huge blip on Wednesday so pleased about that. Back to the gym today.
13 weeks til my holiday so the pressure really on. Like to be down to a 12 by then, wouldn't be too worried what the scales say, as long as the size 12 bikini fitted and the muffin top was under control!

bbpants · 07/06/2013 08:33

Wowserz - it will come, don't worry. Where are you in your monthly cycle? That REALLY affects me - I retain water SO badly in the 1-2 days before my period starts, and then about half way through the period, everything seems to right itself.

Out of interest, how do you make your brownies?

Tenby - keep going. I treat Coke Zero like I used to treat wine - so I try to only have it on a Friday night, but if I'm struggling through the week, then I'll have a glass of an evening, out of a wine glass! And I savour every drop.

Well, I lost that elusive pound this morning - am now 13 st 12.5lb. Yay! Have now just got to get through my (lovely) social weekend, but I'd really like to get on track and get three pounds off next week. We'll see!

TenbyChristmas · 07/06/2013 08:52

bbpants - I'd drink diet coke by the gallon if I could but I'm really trying to cut out things that bloat, unfortunately the water flavouring works best with sparkling water so I limit myself to one at two at most of those. I do struggle with drinking enough water. Well done on the results so far!
I'd like to be down to 220 by Monday morning. I'd be delighted with that!

bbpants · 07/06/2013 10:29

Ah you see, it's the 'bloat' effect that I am after - it fills me up!! Grin

I use soda water a lot as well, for the same reason - especially with the water flavouring, it's really nice.

Wowserz129 · 07/06/2013 15:54

My sister just turned up at my house unplanned with a Chinese for me and her Blush

SconeInSixtySeconds · 07/06/2013 17:37

She is deliberately sabotaging you then. :(

Wowserz129 · 07/06/2013 18:10

I didn't eat it, one point for me!! Can't actually believe it myself Grin

freckles21 · 07/06/2013 19:19

WEll done wowzer, I sent dp into asda to get food for dc, while he was in there I walked around George and brought new clothes for my dc. Still feel drained, had such a long and arduous week at work so want food, but going to resist going to go and do the ifit machine in a minute. When will I know I'm in ketosis, ordered keto sticks, just waiting for them to arrive. Have a good weekend all.

Wowserz129 · 07/06/2013 19:49

Thanks! What day you on now freckles? I wouldn't worry about the sticks, there not very reliable IMO.

freckles21 · 07/06/2013 20:22

Started Tuesday, so day 3 or 4. But had low gi bread yesterday with 2poached eggs so not sure if that may have postponed it. :) also probably being really thick but is day 1 the first day you start, if so then I'm on 4th day.

Wowserz129 · 07/06/2013 20:59

I would say most people go into ketosis by day 4/5 from what I have heard although some people longer (like me). Signs are bad breath, not feeling hungry, energised etc... I felt like hell and then woke up one morning feeling fine and new ketosis had rained on me in my sleep Grin

Although I must say if you ate bread that might have knocked you back a few steps. If you feel you have to eat something I would try go for meats/eggs/ even cheese is better than bread!

Keep going sounds like you are doing well. First week is the worst!

MyJellybean · 07/06/2013 21:29

Hi All. Been away from the computer for a few days in training course for work. I've been having an evening meal each day as well as packs since Tuesday and not lost a single pound so far. Quite looking forward to next Tuesday when I'm back on just packs again so I know where I'm going. I dod Go Ape today so hoping to lose some weight from that, just from fright more than the exercise involved.
