Hi All

Wanted to see if anyone is doing one of these or thinking about it. (If there's already an active thread, I missed it).

I have done LL before, lost three stone in 10 weeks and maintained wonderfully until DC's. Eldest is now four and a half and I think I have probably tried everything going, you name it, I've tried it (Paul McKenna, Paleo, 5:2, Dukan, Weight Watchers, etc).

I know that this works for me, although I understand other peoples objections.
I get paid on Friday and will be contacting a CDC to start on Monday. By the time DS1 is five in June, I intend to be pre DC weight again! Grin

Anyone up for it? Or can give me some support or advice? TIA.

Aww Scone - so sorry about your chicken.

Wowserz - great damage limitation. This diet is so difficult when socialising.

Freckles - eggs and mushrooms definitely the way to go. Maybe ham and a little bit of cheese if it's continental. Alternatively, if it's all croissants and bread rolls, could you must decline it, just drink the tea or coffee and take a bar with you?

SconeInSixtySeconds · 05/06/2013 07:13

Morning. Thanks for condolences, she will get a full poultry funeral tonight. Dd is v.upset.

Anyway, it is time for the result of my weekly weigh in 14st 7.75 - so another 6 pounds down! Total weight lost so far = 33lb only 64 lb to go to target!

Wowserz129 · 05/06/2013 07:40

Aww your poor chicken Scone. Well done on your weight that. That is such a huge loss!

Went on the scales today and it was 185.5 Hmm. Straight back on it though but annoying when you go backwards despite all the hard work that comes with doing VLCD.

bbpants · 05/06/2013 08:47

Great loss Scone! An inspiration.

Sympathies Wowserz - I have gained and lost the same three pounds over and over the last two weeks. If I manage to get a "stay the same" on friday, that will be the best I can hope for, I think.

Beginning to think it's destiny that I won't get that final pound off for a four stone loss! I've got two VERY social weekends coming up (one of which I planned to take a diet break for, the other one has just developed as a social 48 hours!). Also, I really REALLY want to be down another stone by the time the schools break up for summer, and I'm beginning to cut that fine now, particularly in light of the plans for the next two weekends!

AAARRRGGGGHHHH

TenbyChristmas · 05/06/2013 10:29

I am bloody famished.

Wowserz129 · 05/06/2013 10:33

Why don't you have a green/peppermint tea? Helps me feel less hungry sometimes.

SconeInSixtySeconds · 05/06/2013 11:14

Tenby are you doing s&s now? If you are have some veg. I like raw mushrooms or one of those little gem lettuces with absolutely loads of salt, pepper and chilli flakes.

TenbyChristmas · 05/06/2013 11:40

Was up at stupid o'clock and had my first shake early, around 6.30am which may be the cause. The minute I felt hungry I would've had a cuppa only to discover not a single tea bag in the place lol just had a bar and two huge glasses of water. Am heading out shortly and I'll not be back until tea time so I'll have no time to think about hunger til later lol I'm quite surprised at feeling hungry. Didn't have a great sleep last night so that's maybe why.
I'm still working my way through the shake the weight shakes I have left but I bought the S&S bars to replace one of the shakes a day. I'll be switching to full S&S when supplies run out.

Wowserz129 · 05/06/2013 14:32

Feeling 100% fine so far , not sure if that's a good sign or bad lol!

SconeInSixtySeconds · 05/06/2013 17:58

You might get away with it wowser, fingers crossed!

painforlife · 05/06/2013 18:03

diet has gone to hell on the first day, great b**y start just had a major argument with someone & am sat here eating a tub of ice cream (emotional eating).... I don't know y I even bother :( :( :(

sammac · 05/06/2013 18:04

Super loss scone.

bbpants · 05/06/2013 19:38

Oh pain - we've all been there. I'm a slave to emotional eating cravings - draw a line under it and start afresh tomorrow.

freckles21 · 05/06/2013 20:00

So sorry scone to hear about your chicken. I have felt crap today, just tired and light headed. Think that was because I wasn't able to stretch my packs out. Ok I was going to have on slice of toast tomorrow with my poached eggs, don't like mushrooms or tomatoes don't know what to do. Thinking about having my porridge before going so I'm fuller.
Well done scone on your weight loss, bb you have done amazing, the pound you want to lose will go, maybe stop thinking about it. Pain start afresh tomorrow and put this day behind you.

Sassee · 05/06/2013 20:28

Sorry to hear about the chicken, we lost one of our girls last week.

Day three done, not one cheat. Feeling remarkably ok which I didn't expect to considering ds insists on 3 feeds a night, at this rate I'm going to spend his child benefit on under eye concealer and gin, the gin for him Wink

I must be in ketosis now so just the head stuff to deal with. Still feeling positive so fingers crossed.

Quick question, how much water is everyone drinking? When I did lighter life it was a minimum of 4 litres and I very often did at least 6. I see slim and save says 2-3.

Wowserz129 · 05/06/2013 22:43

Well I felt today how I felt on Monday. Not hungry, 100% fine! How weird! Hope it's a sign I am heading back into ketosis.

Pain I found getting off my feet the hardest so don't worry. Just try again tomoro!

Scone how do I resist the temptation to weigh everyday. DP left the scales here Grin

Wowserz129 · 05/06/2013 22:45

Also does anyone take stuff to help then go to the toilet I have been once in 11 days which is unusual. I have heard some people take fibre?

MyJellybean · 05/06/2013 22:57

Sassee - Exante says 2 - 4 litres per day. I normally have 2 and then 4 or 5 herbal teas.

Wowser - I find if I have a big drink before anything in the morning, that stops me weighing myself every morning cos I won't weigh after a drink in case I weigh more. Regarding going to toilet I think that's down to how little we are eating. I considered taking something but then worried that I might be forcing something that wasn't there. Blush

sammac · 06/06/2013 06:56

Wowser, I think that's normal in the beginning, but as your body adjusts, things will get better. About every 2/3 days for me, but at the beginning my system was a lot slower.
I make up about 6 500ml bottles from big bottles of water. I buy smart price fizzy water from asda (19p) I prefer the fizzy stuff, but not to everyone's taste. I put in LL flavouring - a citrusy one. I normally take 3 to work and try to drink 3 at night. That's about 2-3 litres. Then peppermint tea/ cofffee prob makes it up to about 4. I have to remind myself to drink though.

SconeInSixtySeconds · 06/06/2013 07:42

I like weighing every day, it helps to keep me focused! I can see which way the wind is blowing so that the weekly weigh in doesn't become a crushing disappointment if it isn't a good week.

Eating enough veg makes a big difference to how easy it is to go to the loo! Oh and coffee. Good strong coffee!

Is that wine flavouring nice? I haven't bought it before, but I will need to reorder soon and if it is ok I am quite tempted. I try and drink 2 litres of water and 2 cups of tea (using milk allowance) and maybe a couple of coffees (black).

Dc strong armed me into going to Starbucks yesterday (we had to toast Speckles apparently) so I had an iced Americano with skimmed milk. Now it wasn't as nice as a frappucino, but it only had about 30calories so I reckon it was a good compromise!

TenbyChristmas · 06/06/2013 08:37

Pain -I'm in exactly the same boat, I fell down again yesterday. Life is really really difficult for me at the moment to the point where I have been thinking some really silly stuff but today is a new day and all you can do is start over again. When you feel like you can't control anything it's very demoralising, especially weight. The weather here has been absolutely glorious and I am a big fat sweating mess and I hate it. I long to be able to pull on some shorts and a vest and not look like something from a Viz cartoon! Chin up chum. We can do this x

bbpants · 06/06/2013 08:46

Scone - I quite like the wine flavouring - it's a bit elderflower like. Nowhere near to tasting like wine, but makes a nice change nevertheless. (Oh wine, how I have missed you...)

Keep going ladies - today is a new day!

Wowserz129 · 06/06/2013 09:03

I will avoid it then, I hate elderflower. Elderflower and grape juice gives me the chills, yuk lol!

Still 185 today.
