Hi All

Wanted to see if anyone is doing one of these or thinking about it. (If there's already an active thread, I missed it).

I have done LL before, lost three stone in 10 weeks and maintained wonderfully until DC's. Eldest is now four and a half and I think I have probably tried everything going, you name it, I've tried it (Paul McKenna, Paleo, 5:2, Dukan, Weight Watchers, etc).

I know that this works for me, although I understand other peoples objections.
I get paid on Friday and will be contacting a CDC to start on Monday. By the time DS1 is five in June, I intend to be pre DC weight again! Grin

Anyone up for it? Or can give me some support or advice? TIA.

I heard about diet chef on qvc and it had mixed reports. Glad it is working for you though!

Wowserz129 · 29/05/2013 12:43

I have heard mixed reviews on diet chef too. Think it's quite pricey as well?

Started feeling really ill again an hour or so ago, heads thumping feel sick. Promise me its not like this once in ketosis!!

SconeInSixtySeconds · 29/05/2013 13:17

Since the end of week one I haven't felt il at all, have you tried contacting them?

Wowserz129 · 29/05/2013 14:52

I will give it to the weekend! Do you literally just wake up one morning and feel fine/not hungry?

mrsfossil · 29/05/2013 14:57

hi folks can I join please, may need some moral support in the next few weeks. Just done 1st week on Cambridge and lost 3 pounds. not as much as I want but had 2 already organised meals that I couldn't cancel. So this week I need to stick with it but have 1 staff meal out on sat. (hadn't been out for ages before this diet - sods law). Need to lose 2 stone before xmas as its my 40th and want to be in a 12 dress for my party.

TenbyChristmas · 29/05/2013 17:19

Bbpants that's still a fabulous loss. Well done! I'm hardcore at it until my holiday in September. Hoping with weight off between now and then and keeping at the exercise to tone the wobbles I won't look too bad. My chums I'm going with are big girls so I won't be the odd one out in a pile of skinny Minnie's.

On a seperate issue, has anyone done/do Yoga? My gym are starting it soon I'd be interested to hear about your views, if its good, beneficial etc. I'm wishing they'd have brought in Pilates to be honest though. (Small local gym)

Wowserz129 · 29/05/2013 19:40

Does it really matter if I have one less shame today? So 2 shakes and a bar?

Mrs Fossil - why don't you try having a low carb meal that won't affect ketosis? Well done on making it through your first week.

SconeInSixtySeconds · 29/05/2013 20:00

Wowser, no I am sure that would be fine. Have you got anything proteiny in the house though? A bit of cheese/chicken etc? Just having a couple of mouthfuls of this will help a bit. I am wondering of you are feeling sick because you aren't eating enough, ie at least 650 calories.

Wowserz129 · 29/05/2013 20:08

Might have a slice of ham! I have been having the four items a day. Might try 3 and a small protein meal tomoro. Hopefully I will wake up feeling fab tomoro lol!!

Wowserz129 · 29/05/2013 20:18

Is 100g of chicken about half a normal chicken breast fillet? Trying to guess for tomoro!

SconeInSixtySeconds · 29/05/2013 21:10

Yes it is roughly. Good luck wowser, hope tomorrow is better.

sammac · 29/05/2013 21:49

MyJellybean · 29/05/2013 23:19

Hi all. I just registered and would love to join in the chat. I started Exante diet on 14 May and was surprised at loosing 8lb in first week (start weight was 12st 9lb, height 5'2" & size 14/16). My mum is also doing this diet and lost 12lb in first week. This is the first time I've tried a VLCD or meal replacement. I didn't weigh in last week as bank holiday but know l lost as a sneaky weigh in at home. I had my first 'real' food in 2 weeks on Sunday at a carvery (turkey and veg), I struggled to eat half of it and I'm normally a good eater. Suprised how much I'm looking forward to weigh day on Monday to see how this fortnight has gone.

Wowserz129 · 30/05/2013 12:42

Hi Jellybean! Well done on your first loss that is great!

I am actually not weighing in until the end of week 3! My DP is working away until the 16th of June and instructed him to take the scales with him. Otherwise I just get disheartened if I don't lose as much as I had hoped. So I am weighing in end of week three, end of week 5 and then end of week 7. After that I will probs weigh in every week.

I ran out of bars yesterday so ordered more.

Thought I ordered 20 milk chic Truffa bars as I love them! 20 milk choc praline ones arrived today Hmm. Checked the order form and right enough I ordered the praline by mistake. Kicking myself now lol!

TenbyChristmas · 30/05/2013 14:59

Dipped my toe in the Slim and Save pool today and ordered some of the bars and the wine flavouring. Way cheaper than CD. i think last time i got bars from them they were £2.40 each? Am missing chewing lol other than that no headache or anything this time round. I can't help wondering if the exercise is helping? I didn't do any last time I tried the CD. So tempted to get on the scales but going to resist until Monday. I think the weekend will be the real challenge in sticking to diet. The weather here is fabulous and no doubt it'll be BBQ city if it keeps up. Grrrr. Just a question of what Zi want more Eh?!

SconeInSixtySeconds · 30/05/2013 18:39

Had a difficult day today, in a situation where I had no alternative but to have some bread. I have had a measure of how much I think I had - about 40g - and I had one shake this am. So I reckon I must be on about 53g of carbs so protein only for the rest of today.

I had had my daily weighin this am and was 14st 12.5 so I am just hoping that it doesn't knock me out of ketosis. :(

Wowserz129 · 30/05/2013 19:14

I hope it hasn't knocked you out scone! Hopefully not but if not if you get straight back on it I am sure it will have no effect!

I have had a shake, bar, half a chicken breast and some lettuce today. Feels like I have cheated!!

SconeInSixtySeconds · 30/05/2013 19:16

How are you feeling after having had some food? Any better?

MyJellybean · 30/05/2013 20:41

I felt like l had cheated last week just having some prawns instead of my bar and going to carvery another day. I have to start a full week of evening meals from Tuesday and actually a little worried about it!

I believed you could have 60g of carbs. Is that right?

SconeInSixtySeconds · 30/05/2013 21:07

I am sure that's fine Jelly, it is my silly metabolism!

painforlife · 30/05/2013 21:14

Hello ladies,
May I join please? Scone thanks for sharing the link. I've got a lot of weight to loose without exercising as I can't due to physical disability. At my Dr's today I weighed myself & just broke down as I'm over 100kg - the heaviest I've ever been :( so starting tomorrow I'm going on a liquid diet for a month. I will weigh myself on the 30th of June & hopefully I will have come under 100kg!!!

I guess I'm looking for a bit of hand holding to keep me going & would love to hear some tips :)

bbpants · 30/05/2013 21:16

I'm sure you'll be fine Scone - you may find that you just stay the same for a day or two as it sounds as if you've undertaken some damage limitation.

bbpants · 30/05/2013 21:16

Welcome Jelly and Pain!

painforlife · 30/05/2013 21:18

Thanks bbpants :)

leesam · 30/05/2013 21:24
