Hi All

Wanted to see if anyone is doing one of these or thinking about it. (If there's already an active thread, I missed it).

I have done LL before, lost three stone in 10 weeks and maintained wonderfully until DC's. Eldest is now four and a half and I think I have probably tried everything going, you name it, I've tried it (Paul McKenna, Paleo, 5:2, Dukan, Weight Watchers, etc).

I know that this works for me, although I understand other peoples objections.
I get paid on Friday and will be contacting a CDC to start on Monday. By the time DS1 is five in June, I intend to be pre DC weight again! Grin

Anyone up for it? Or can give me some support or advice? TIA.

Omg I just Google my weight I'm 16.5 stones :( I've gotta loose 6 stones at the very least!!! Is that even possible??? I'm having a lot of self doubt as I find it hard to stick to diets. I know this is going tto sound silly but I can't stop crying :( :( :(

Wowserz129 · 30/05/2013 21:39

Leesam I know a few people who have tried lipotrim. Only Negative stuff I have heard is that there is limited meal/flavour choice and that the packets aren't very nice. Some people get on fine though!!

Scone I am feeling much better today thanks. Wonder if I am in ketosis lol!!

I am honestly really worried about eating a proper meal everyday. Don't know why but worry it will affect my losses!

Wowserz129 · 30/05/2013 21:40

Pain for life - 6 stone is very possible. On the slim and save page there is a lady who lost 6 stone in 5 months 1 week.

SconeInSixtySeconds · 30/05/2013 21:50

Wowser, just keep the portions under control and you'll be great. You could look at it as the start of learning those new habits we talked about upthread. :)

Hi pain, nice to see you! On the 17th April that was me, except a bit heavier. I haven't done any exercise either because I am lazy except mow the lawns. It can be done, honestly. Has the doctor ok'ed your juicing idea? I am a bit concerned that if too fruit heavy that it might not help much. You'll need to be super careful about the recipes.

Six stone is doable - of course it is! Plenty of water. Learning to deal with the emotional stuff instead of burying it with food. Do it with us. Come and whinge whenever you feel the need, we'll celebrate your successes and gently kick your arse when needed!

Maybe we should have a roll call of what everybody is doing and how they are getting on?

hello to jelly and pain. You'll get lots of support here.

bbpants · 31/05/2013 06:00

Well, i've had a last minute reprieve and have stayed the same this week. Disappointed in myself for not losing any, but I have really struggled, so it's a lesson in maintenance!

SconeInSixtySeconds · 31/05/2013 06:24

Wow bb. You have done amazingly well! So inspiring.

SconeInSixtySeconds · 31/05/2013 07:12

(Meant to say, am a quarter pound up this am, so hopefully no real damage done)

sammac · 31/05/2013 07:39

BB, that's great!! Do you think it's easier/ harder the more you go on? You must see a big difference. Have you gone down much in clothes size?

bbpants · 31/05/2013 07:54

Honestly, people are only JUST beginning to notice! I reckon I've gone down two dress sizes ( was squeezed into my clothes before, and the size I've bought now is beginning to get loose). I want to lose another stone by the end of July and hope then I will be in size 16 trousers! Haven't been that size for over 15 years!

For me, it gets easier as you go on because the physical hunger isn't there, but the mental struggle continues. I'm greedy and I LOVE food that's bad for me!! When I struggle, it's my brain that's the problem, not my stomach. My long term maintenance plan is to give in to my inner-greediness on a Friday night only - if I've been good the rest of the week, then I can eat anything I want on Friday night.

Scone - a quarter pound is NOTHING - well done!

MyJellybean · 31/05/2013 08:13

Hi pain, good to hear I'm not the only newby this week.

I wouldn't worry too much about the exercise side, my mother is disabled and is doing Exante diet with me. She weighed 16st and is disabled so also can't exercise at all, she lost 12lb in first week and 5lb in second. I'm a bit like you Scone, I can but haven't as yet.

Jellybean started 14 May 2013 start weight 12st 12lb
31 May 2013. 11st 10lb

I am excited to weigh myself on June 16th. Hopefully I will be in the 12s.

Wowserz - Start date 27/5 (Count before that as a test run as wine gum incident).
Start weight 13 st 7lbs. Slim and save mix between simplicity and lifestyle.
First weigh in end of week 3. June 16th.

milkybarsrus · 31/05/2013 09:54

started begining of April - weighed 13 stone 5. Just had 2 weeks off plan (slim n save) and only gained 3 pounds!. Back on plan day after I got back and now weigh 11 stone 12. Not the fastest losses, but I eat out at least once a week. Have things like salad n steak. chicken kebabs on skewers etc. this week my goal is to try and drink less tea with milk and have more peppermint tea.

Wowserz129 · 31/05/2013 10:29

Milky bar- A stone and a half in 6 weeks is a great amount to lose!

Did you eat bady when you were off plan/come out of ketosis? Just wondering as I have a holiday coming up soonish and not sure how to approach it!

painforlife · 31/05/2013 10:56

goal weight : 10 stone 5 lbs

plan for today:
breakfast: a bowl of kellogs frosties, a cup of tea
lunch: a glass of guava juice
dinner: a glass of mango juice
If I feel hungry I'll be drinking lots of water!

TenbyChristmas · 31/05/2013 11:18

Hi painforlife! I'm not too au fait with the slim and save but they have a website. I have ordered some of the meal bars from them. It appears to be essentially the Cambridge diet only considerably cheaper. I'm doing shake that weight, again, pretty much the same thing, 3 shakes and lo carb meal. When I get the bars ill be ditching the lo carb meal completely for one of those. Essential to all the meal replacement diets is ensuring you drink enough water. The more you drink you more you shrink -cd counsellor told me that! Do a bit of research online and see which one takes your fancy. Be prepared though, it's fairly tough at the start, expect to feel hungry a bit and possibly get a headache about day 2. Oh and breath will be a tad, um, unsavoury lol but the results are great if you stick with it and you'll get loads of support here too x

Wowserz129 · 31/05/2013 11:44

Hi pain - I think a plan like slim and save would work better for you with regards to weight loss. Frosties are very carby and sugary and you won't be getting your daily vitamin need from two glasses of fruit juice. I am sure you will still lose weight tho!
Slim and save you get the option of 3 packs or 2 and a bar plus a small protein based meal or just having 4 packs a day/3 and a bar. There's even spaghetti/cheesy pasta/soups packets to choose as well as shakes. You order online and it gets delivered to your door! Grin

SconeInSixtySeconds · 31/05/2013 11:58

Just remember wowser that week 3 is notorious for being a stall week - I am sure you'll do really well, but don't start dividing by 3 when you do Wei will you?!

SconeInSixtySeconds · 31/05/2013 12:01

Pain, here is the link to slim n save . I went with them because a. People on here seemed to be having great results and b. because I was too ashamed of myself to go and see another human being about it. I can do this all online and no-one the wiser until they notice the weight loss!

I think you were really brave to see your gp.

Wowserz129 · 31/05/2013 12:12

No I won't! I am tempted to weigh on Tuesday as I will see my DP for his birthday but thought maybe I should wait till a Sunday as its the end of week! I am weird like that, like things to be done in a logical manner.

Really struggling to get water down today!

TenbyChristmas · 31/05/2013 12:34

Just had to pop back on and say wow, am I impressed with slim and save!! Stuff I ordered yesterday has arrived and I only chose the bog standard first class postage option so wasn't expecting it til next week! I got a welcome pack with a brochure explaining everything and a v snazzy pink measuring tape! I ordered the bars and the wine water flavouring AND they have sent me a free shaker as well! Had a nibble at the bar ( went for truffle) quite yummy! Impressed impressed impressed. I think that one of the reasons they are cheaper is the plain packing, CD packets are all branded and this is bound to be expensive. Plus the CDCs must have to get a profit too. I think when my Shake the Weight shakes run out ill get shakes from Slim and Save.

Wowserz129 · 31/05/2013 12:42

The shakes are really nice, especially the chocolate and strawberry!! I love the truffa bars. I nibble my bars so they last ages when I am eating them . Aww I really wish I still had my bar to eat today lol!!

Think they are much cheaper because of cutting out the middle man and also I think maybe part of the expense with Cambridge is paying for the 'label'. Some people like the additional support though. I like to hibernate and come out thin haha!!

TenbyChristmas · 31/05/2013 12:44

I'm going for the Big Reveal tactic as well Wowserz!!! How are you feeling, any improvement? X

SconeInSixtySeconds · 31/05/2013 12:53

I like the hazelnut shakes and the cafe latte. Mmmmm!

Which reminds me, it's lunch time!
