Glad to hear your ds is getting better lavender.

Apologies to Mr Tea but I have tinkered with his parmesan shortbread. I found the recipe made it taste quite almondy, which I didn't like. If anyone is interested...

I put in 50g softened butter then did the rest by eye - some grated veggie Parmesan, one egg yolk, a little bit of ground almonds and then a little bit of coconut flour (probably about a level tablespoonful), I have not cooked with this before but heard a little goes a long way and it soaks up a lot of moisture as it cooks. I spread the mixture out on a baking sheet, patting it down and spreading it out with my fingers because it was too sticky to roll, then baked at 180 for about 10-ish minutes.

It came out a bit like a cheesy flatbread. It wasn't so short as the shortbread and I could cut it into pieces without it crumbling.

It might be good for any of you who want something a bit bread-like.

Morning. I have sinned :( Last night I ate half a portion of chinese fried rice. I am suffering for it today though! Have been up since 5am with stomach cramps.

JakeBullet · 17/03/2013 07:43

Okay....relieved because despite this last week I am headed for a 2.5 lb loss. Worked it out by converting the weight to lbs....and I am 2.5lbs down....not bad considering the week I have had.

JakeBullet · 17/03/2013 07:46

Black... So you ate half a portion of Chinese fried rice....you have confessed Grin now forget it............you are forgiven my child.Grin. Say 10 Hail Marys, several Our Fathers......oh wait....nah don't bother....you're forgiven. Wink

MyHeadWasInTheSandNowNot · 17/03/2013 08:15

Black what on earth for? It's not even that nice? Please don't weigh yourself this week and decide this WOE isn't working for you will you? Drink LOADS of water today and move on :)

spilttheteaagain · 17/03/2013 08:21

Ah black if it makes you feel any better I had takeaway curry last night, and had the chicken tikka (saintly choice) and thought sod it and had a madras dal sambar (veg & lentil curry) side dish, 1/4 DH's garlic naan and a couple of tbsps rice. The rice was entirely missable, and the bread was moreish bit not actually that great. The lentil curry though was YUM and I feel not a bit guilty. I also had a few (about 6, so very few!) salt and pepper crisps before hand.
I am working on the principle Jake shares - it's what you do most of the time that counts. And last night was a real one off. First rice etc in a month, and very little of it.

And today I am looking forward to my LC food. Don't sweat it!

TheHumancatapult · 17/03/2013 08:45

im moving over to maintienace slowly now as 1lb of my goal weight.which i suspect is still heavier than most of you but is a weight i feel am happy to maintain at .i am now a size 10/12 in new look ,h,M big even a 12 in primark Grin big change from my size 24 elastic waists( i have had to watch calories a for personal reasons to which is mostly against the princlples but BIWI knows why )

but ill never go back to pigging out on carbs i have finally lost my sweet tooot

MyHeadWasInTheSandNowNot · 17/03/2013 09:29

THC - congratulations :) How lovely to be at a weight you are happy with! It doesn't matter whether that's the same as what anyone else would be happy with or not does it - as long as you are happy (and it's a healthy weight I guess, but unless you are 3ft tall a size 12 is probably a healthy weight Grin).

Even better that you have lost your sweet tooth!

Are you going to hang around on the threads still?

Ruprekt · 17/03/2013 09:44

ConfusedConfusedConfusedConfused

(Wails........). Its the last day of boot camp!!!ConfusedConfusedConfusedConfused

Custy....4.3g carbs per 125g ground almonds

Ruprekt · 17/03/2013 09:47

0.38 g in egg
0.20g in cheese

I presume it is just the almonds we need to count then.

Where do I get coconut flour from and how many carbs is it?

Ruprekt · 17/03/2013 09:54

Woooooooohoooooooo!!!!,!!SmileSmileSmileSmileSmileGrinGrin.

Final day of bootcamp and I am down to 177lb!!

Started on 7 jan at 193lb and am now 177lbs.

An exact stone.

Well done Me. SmileSmile

MyHeadWasInTheSandNowNot · 17/03/2013 09:57

Rup you missed the egg out of your list of ingredients earlier - I noticed because I don't eat egg and have been wondering how to bind them together Grin

Beware of the coconut flour - I remember reading on another thread that a couple of posters had both bought some and they had hugely different carb counts!

Ocado & Holland & Barrett do the Tiana one at 21.7g per 100g.

TheHumancatapult · 17/03/2013 10:04

my head yes my bmi is 22. 7 so healthy i want loose another 3/4lb but thats it

BIWI · 17/03/2013 10:07

Flowers Ruprekt! Yay!

THC - fabulous. Also Flowers. You have done brilliantly. And what a lovely feeling to be able to ditch the elasticated waists Grin

Black - why did you do that?! On the last bit of Bootcamp as well! As MyHead says - please, please, please don't weigh yourself and then complain when you see that you have gained a few pounds! Drink plenty of water and be super strict for the next couple of days, and hopefully the damage will be minimal. Sorry that you have had stomach cramps, but hopefully that will be something that you can think about next time you are tempted!

Bessie123 · 17/03/2013 10:13

Coconut flour is about 21g of carbs per 100g but you don't need much so it works out as v few carbs.

Bessie123 · 17/03/2013 10:15

Massive Grin at biwi's big stick. black - go and stand in the corner and think about what you have done Grin

teaandthorazine · 17/03/2013 10:19

Morning all!

Off to a friends house for lunch today - am driving so won't be able to drink which is good. I know she's doing chicken - I think it may be a full on roast. She is very very very good at roast potatoes iirc (she gave me a pot of duck fat for xmas once!) so I may well indulge but will limit myself to a couple of small ones Grin

WillieWaggledagger · 17/03/2013 10:21

Ruprekt I make your loss 16lb so 1st 2lb? Bravo whichever it is!

Well done THC! Absolutely in awe of your achievement, and I always look forward to you coming back to post an update

NellVarnish · 17/03/2013 10:33

I just popped in with Thanks for BIWI and Thanks for willie to say a HUGE thank you for organising this Bootcamp, and all the lovely threads.

It's been a great kick up the arse for me and a revelation that I CAN eat FAT but not Nutella.

Sadly this week I have fallen SPECTACULARLY off the wagon, but will try to reign myself in this week and keep on keeping on.

Thank you to everyone on the threads for your support, hints, tips, recipes and ups and downs - you are all marvellisimo!

MyHeadWasInTheSandNowNot · 17/03/2013 10:35

Yes Rup - there are only 14lbs to a stone (not 16 as per ounces to the pound) - so that's OVER a stone - get you!!

Ruprekt · 17/03/2013 10:38

ShockShockI can be so thick at times!

16 oz in 1 lb and 14 lb in a stone!

16 lbs weightloss!SmileSmile

WillieWaggledagger · 17/03/2013 10:40

You're very welcome nell, though I have to say the hard work is all BIWI's. so pleased this is working for you

MrsHerculePoirot · 17/03/2013 10:45

Well done rup that's fab! You HAVE to stay and post all your yummy meal ideas though.

THC - that is fab-U-lous! I still dream of being a size 12, your determination and motivation always put me to shame in all honesty. I am on my way, but not there yet, down from a 22 to an 18 from my highest to now, and I reckon about 7 lbs off my size 16 jeans... I'd like to be in them by the end of the easter holidays so I can return to school in the summer term in my smaller clothes!

Yama · 17/03/2013 10:51

Black - I didn't admit it at the time but a few weeks ago I ate quite a few ovenable snacks like pakora and samosas. Think I'd got to midnight being good and then wham! I tucked in with wild abandon. I paid for it the next day - hangover, carb cramps and period pains.

It was one awful Sunday. So, lesson was learned and I know I will never think it worth it ever again.

I had a lovely lie in this morning, followed by bacon, egg and almond pancakes. Oh, washed down with fine coffee.

Ruprekt · 17/03/2013 11:12

Yama - almond pancake recipe please?

Am definitely staying on this thread as I enjoy Biwi stroking my hair and I am needy and need constant reassurance!

Just had 2 hb eggs with butter.

Having big roast at lunch without potatoes for any of us.
Got roast chicken and roast pork (need to cook both as both Waitrose reductions!)
Broccoli
Swiss chard in butter
Asparagus
Stuffing, sweetcorn and y puds for boys plus gravy

Cheeseboard or pannacotta for dessert
