Morning all!

owow to ear infections - I used to suffer from them a lot when I was little - they are really rotten. Hope everyone's feeling much better soon.

Out for lunch today with xh and ds so who knows? Have just had a cup of liquorice tea and a babybel, but random but will tide me over! Was going to cook pork belly tonight but Tesco have delivered a pathetic little one, will have to do good old celeriac dauphinois as well!

Not feeling hungry, though could go back to bed tbh!

BlackAffronted · 16/03/2013 10:19

Jake, if I have a decent BAB, I go about 6 hours until I need lunch! Then another 4ish hours before dinner, then nothing else til my next BAB.

Ruprekt · 16/03/2013 10:55

Dh has just brought me scram eggs, bacon and mushrooms for breakfast in bed! Smile And tea.

This will keep me going for a while!

Prob no lunch today.

Tonight we are having venison with celeriac dauph and swiss chard.

Had seabass with chard for dinner last night.

Everything was on waitrose reductions!!SmileSmile Love low carbing.

WillieWaggledagger · 16/03/2013 11:00

Jake, I think you're also on week three or so aren't you? Weight loss can slow down a bit then anyway, so 1lb off is pretty good given that and the fact that you've had a bit of off-plan eating. You sound like you know what you should be doing anyway, and pleased to hear that you're feeling a bit more on an even keel too

Sorry to hear about poorly children, it must be scary and exhausting and anyone who can manage to handle that and eat properly at the same time must be pretty much superhuman!

WillieWaggledagger · 16/03/2013 11:01

You're bloody brilliant at bargain food shopping ruprekt!

teaandthorazine · 16/03/2013 11:48

Aaaargh, help - I need to be forcibly removed from the Gwyneth thread for my own safety Hmm

Ruprekt - thise are excellent shopping skillz!

JakeBullet · 16/03/2013 12:42

Just over three hours since BAB....not hungry...still pretty stuffed.

Fizzy water in a mo...tempted to add wine as DS has just called me "fucking woman" Angry

All because he didn't want to put a big box of Lego in his room. Said Lego is now in a massive bag and hidden away.

There's autism and then there is sheer bad behaviour.....he has been told in no uncertain terms that I will not accept abuse from him and there will be consequences....he has lost the Wii too.

Has since apologised and said he feels ashamed....and so he should. Not accepting that sort of language and abuse from him at all. He is upstairs keeping a low profile at the moment as all the gods of hell descended on him after his outburst.

Hell hath no fury like me....sometimes he is just sheer hard work though.

JakeBullet · 16/03/2013 12:42

tea [grun], it's hard work over there isn't it?

Sorelip · 16/03/2013 13:23

I'm sloping back in after giving up in the first week or so. Weight has shot up to nearly 12st from 11st, and I'm struggling to fit into anything other than my pregnancy clothes. I've already had toast and tea with milk today, so from tomorrow I will be veggie low carbing, using the Rose Elliot book.

BlackAffronted · 16/03/2013 13:39

Reading that thread, some people are very possesive about their carbs, arent they? Grin

Welcome back Sorelip :)

Yama · 16/03/2013 13:50

Due to the rain we decided to go to another, more wooded park. Total bonus was that there was a Peter Howson exhibition in the gallery on the grounds. Also, a Bugs, Birds and Beasties exhibition for the kids.

Now that we have been suitably walked and cultured we can avoid veering far from the sofa for the rest of the day.

Jake - a slug of wine in your fizzy water would be entirely justified.

Sorelip - welcome back. You can't go wrong with this woe. I don't really do it for weight loss as I'm at target weight but for all the other benefits - never hungry, no more sore tummies, more energy, clear skin, no bloating.

Yama · 16/03/2013 13:52

Oh, and of course the long term health benefits. I now believe that low fat diets are unhealthy. Dh and I have done much reading and more and more we believe that this is what we should be eating.

Sorelip · 16/03/2013 13:59

Thank you BlackAffronted and Yama. I have to admit that boredom is the main culprit for my weight gain. I get so bored being at home sometimes. I can't wait for the weather to improve, so we can get out in the sun every day, and DS can run around like a mad thing.

The bad thing is, I know how bad processed carbs are for me, but I still eat them. I've been giving that self-destruct button one hell of a pushing!

halfthesize · 16/03/2013 14:19

Ooh Tea whats happening on there now? Its a very strange thread! Hmm

JakeBullet · 16/03/2013 14:22

Apparently it's wrong for children to see you eat differently Confused

That bloody thread....

halfthesize · 16/03/2013 14:25

OMG just read it, had not been on it since Thursday, some of them are raving loonies Wink

halfthesize · 16/03/2013 14:28

The sun is out here which is making me feel all spring like, hope everyone is enjoying their weekends. Grin

BIWI · 16/03/2013 14:38

I am trying not to get too involved in that thread, but it makes me feel very Smile to see all of you on there!

IShallWearMidnight · 16/03/2013 16:33

I had an OK time at the dinner yesterday - the meal was pate, roast beef and trimmings and lemon tart. I did have the roast potatoes and carrots and fortunately the yorkshire pudding was inedible, and half the lemon tart, but...... I was able to stop when I felt a bit full, rather than finishing up the whole lot because it was there and was a meal I hadn't had to plan, shop for and prepare myself as I would have done a few weeks ago.

And a few minutes ago when I started feeling hungry after my BAB at 10ish, I had a chunk of cheese rather than a packet of biscuit s. So although I may not be bootcamping, or even low carbing especially well, I am making progress in my relationship with food I think Smile.

teaandthorazine · 16/03/2013 18:45

Dinner is in the oven and smelling divine. Belly pork roasted with fennel and cardamom, cauli cheese and buttered greens.

For lunch I had mussels in a cream and garlic sauce and foreswore pudding. And drank sparkling water even though the waitress kept trying to upsell me to coke or wine!

Iamaslummymummy · 16/03/2013 19:20

Had a lovely walk on the beach at the river with a very muddy dog and son. Really pleased that I had the energy with my cfs/me. I'm sure this woe is good for me.

B orange protein powder pancakes, coffee with cream
L oopsie roll sandwich with cheese, ham, mayo and salad and then oopsie roll topped with cream cheese and pbGrin
D pulled pork with coleslaw and salad

Good food today!

Iamaslummymummy · 16/03/2013 19:25

Oh and another thing, ds was given a box of Danish butter cookies such I would normally have devoured. I have had 1 (my first Cookie, biscuit or cake since nye).

It wasn't that great at all. I can leave them on the worktop and not even think about them. It's a miracle Grin

BIWI · 16/03/2013 19:30
Grin

Go you, Iamaslummymummy Thanks
