Oh God I am fu.king sore! Every muscle in my poor old body is screaming at me. I can't even sit down on the loo without crying. Okay, I exaggerate a bit but I am sore. Ho hum. Must be working.

But the other thing is that I am ravenous - cardio is an appetite suppressant for me but since my weight session yesterday I am hungry and eating. Need to keep an eye on this...

BambieO · 14/04/2013 07:02

No pain no gain bssh! Grin

Let us know how you get on not with the toilet but with controlling hunger

RandallPinkFloyd · 14/04/2013 10:01

I survived! It was actually really good fun.

It started in a Wetherspoons in the next town (about 10 miles away) then there was a shuttle bus every 20 minutes all day that took you from pub to pub around a circuit of 9 pubs all up in the welsh hills. Each one of them was a small-ish local country pub serving all sorts of local real ales and ciders. They also had bbqs outside some of them and one had working dray horses!

Couldn't really log accurately as most of the booze wasn't registered on there so had to log it as standard beer. Also had to estimate lunch but I wasn't too mental with it, had a butty and some chips so just logged it as the highest calorie version I could find to be on the safe side.

All came in at 2600 in the end so not as drastically terrible as I thought. I'll fast again on Monday and Tuesday so hopefully shouldn't have done too much damage. It was worth it though!

RandallPinkFloyd · 14/04/2013 10:04

I look like a right old lardy-arsed juicer posting that after all your tales of exercise and achievements. I shall atone this week I promise

On the plus side one of my friends noticed I'd lost weight! It only took 37lb but at least someone has noticed Grin

BsshBossh · 14/04/2013 11:00

Woohoo Randall! Finally they noticed :) And it sounds like you had loads of fun.

I am considerably less sore and less hungry today, thank goodness. But will wait until Tuesday to do weights again. This is my fast & exercise plan for this week I think:

Monday - Cardio
Tuesday - Weights (first thing) & fast (going to try a 36 hour fast - no food all day - I'm going hardcore!)
Wednesday - Cardio
Thursday - Cardio & fast (but just my usual 22/23 hour one, so dinner as usual at night so that I have fuel in my system for weights the next day)
Friday - Weights
Weekend - Eat, drink and be merry!

Lizzylou · 14/04/2013 12:04

Bssh you are bloody fab!
Randall, sounds fab. I was not quite as restrained and have a bit of a sore head. Was fabulous fun though. Well worth it.

TeaMakesItAllPossible · 14/04/2013 14:57

Did your skirt arrive Lizzy? A bad morning head is a sign of a good night.

Randall that sounds brilliant, and whoop to your pal noticing, I had a pal who lost 2 stone, then maintained for 9 months then lost 4lbs. No-one commented on the 28lb loss but everyone did the 4lb loss. She ended up ranting at commenters in the end. Very odd and amusing.

Bssh Shock Shock and Shock again! I think you'll be able to go on Total Wipeout as our representative!

Bambi well done, hope you manage it. I was going to do the same but unfortunately I was mugged by the bagel company at Paddington station.

I don't think today's going to be a good day. I'm really tired so it's eating or weeping today. I choose chocolate.Smile

TeaMakesItAllPossible · 14/04/2013 15:02

PS I'd have to go to Hull too, which is wrong side of t'pennines so Preston does sound exotic

Lizzylou · 14/04/2013 16:37

Tea, no skirt didn't arrive but managed to find better one. Have just sweated out pure alcohol at the gym. Ugh.
Was a terrific night, just a tad too boozy and I may have had wobbly legs at end of night!
Why do you feel teary? Hull is not somewhere I have ever been. The fish and chips are supposed to be good though??

TeaMakesItAllPossible · 14/04/2013 19:38

Love it when plan B is better than plan A because i usually resort to plan B Grin

I'm not sure Lizzy, bit of everything and nothing in particular. With regard to Chiefing i've seen my weight fluctuate 10lbs this week which is a bit overwhelming. And i've run over 7 miles but struggled to run 3 this week too which is frustrating. I'm worrying about stuff about the kids. And sometimes find it hard, when I'm tired and haven't got a grip on what I'm doing, to live in a house with 5 chaps. I need to see my BFF i think. Those things and lots more little things. Once this interview is over, and I know what I'm doing one way or another, I shall sort myself out and it'll be fine. But in the meantime I'm weeping at brass bands, threads on MN, Bssh's lovely DH, jeremy kyle (FFS) when i'm training at the gym and horses which are clearly just big puppetsSmile Feck. I'm a loon Grin

BsshBossh · 14/04/2013 19:48

Aw Tea, you definitely need some girfriend time, away from boys. Hope it happens for you soon. And good luck with the interview.

Lizzylou · 14/04/2013 19:51

Awww Tea, think you need a good catch up with your bff, Wine and Thanks Thanks
I only have 3 males but goodness knows I need a female escape every now and then.

TeaMakesItAllPossible · 14/04/2013 21:02

Thanks Chiefs. Ahhh, you're a lovely bunch of vipers Wink

dinkydoos · 14/04/2013 21:22

Enters with hug , wine, chocs for Tea.
Randall, really jealous of your day yesterday, used to do that in the good old days pre kids! And lizzy, can relate to the alcohol gym sweats!
Bssh, you're just a bit, well awesome!
Well decided not to weigh after hols till feel a bit thinner, fasted Friday but been a bit binge y since. Will start back on mfp tomorrow on a fast day.
Currently having early night with cuppa and pack of kids mini gingerbread men.racy, moi? Grin

RandallPinkFloyd · 15/04/2013 12:08

Aw tea have a manly shoulder punch.

Bssh, Lizzy, you scare me. In a good way, but definitely scary!

Hope you had nice holidays dinky. Hope fasting today doesn't suck too hard.

I see to have got away with my antics on Saturday. Have done a sneaky early weigh (I know I know) and I'm 0.8lb down. To sure how that happened but I'm very relieved, especially as I can't fast tomorrow now as I'd forgotten I'm going out for the day with a friend so will be lunching and all sorts of other non-fasting activities.

I'll do a pre-emptive safety fast today and hope, can't do much else!

Keep on chiefing Grin

Shewhojuggles · 15/04/2013 13:16

Aw Tea sending hugs your way. Good luck for the job interview too.

Lizzy is the park run an organised thing? I'm going for W2R2 on my couch to 5k tonight but looking ahead would like to have a go at a park run. Really enjoying alternating the running with walking as i build up, and i managed just over 3 miles on Saturday. Hoping to undo last week's food fest and hopefully lose some more weight this week. Also swimming but my OH wants me to join the gym with him and lift some weights etc, never done it before aaargh! Had to laugh a lot a Kalidanger's swim rage - that is so like me! Our ladies swim session consists of tons of women standing chatting and blocking the end of the bloody lane. They swim up and down a couple of times in the whole hour at most. Do they really class that as exercise?!!

Anyway, MFP diary shows the extent of my gluttony over the last few days (didnt even count while we were away) so i shall plod on with this fast today and try hard to Stop. Thinking. About. Food...

Lizzylou · 15/04/2013 13:46

Randall, be afraid, be very afraid.....
Shewho, here, find your local one, it is fab, lots of differing abilities, club runners running 5km in 16mins (!!!) and then first timers/novice runners or slow coaches (like me!). All organised and timed so you can see your progress. It is fab.

So, think I may have been more drunk than I'd thought on Saturday. But not redfaced like some of my colleagues so that is good!

TheTigerDidntComeToTea · 15/04/2013 14:38

Aw Tea, hope you're feeling better, have you arranged some bff time? Did you enjoy Warhorse? We still have loads of easter eggs if you need anymore Wink

Randall, your day out sounds fab and yay for someone noticing!

Bssh, your schedule is making me tired just looking at it! Seriously though you are very inspiring!

Lizzy, did you get a rara skirt? My dh used to go to our local parkrun, I am determined to get there some day...

Dinks, how's your fast day going? I'm doing a post holiday one too, its ok so far but starting to get hungry...

Shewho - good luck with your run tonight.

I'm back at work today after my holiday and no-one has asked if I had a good break, that's just rude I think! I really, really don't want to be here...

I treated myself and got highlights put in my hair on Saturday, they are fab! My hair is very dark and I've only ever done the home all-over colour thing so this is a big change. I was getting so depressed about all the grey though I am hoping this might disguise it! It's a lot lighter than i thought it would be but since the sun is out I am enjoying it.

So that and the fact that I seemed to have stayed the same, despite eating and drinking at will all last week, has made me feel quite good. We did loads of walking though, I think ds is glad to get back to school for a rest this week!!

I'll need to get back onto mfp and get logging!

Shewhojuggles · 15/04/2013 15:19

Thanks for the link Lizzy, there is one in Liverpool, not too far from me, defo will give it a go in the next few weeks. Think I'll be firmly in the slow coach category...

TheTigerDidntComeToTea · 16/04/2013 09:59

Morning chiefs!
What's everyone up to today?

I'm at work all day but it's nice and quiet and I have loads to do so I think I'll put my headphones on and listen to Spotify - any recommendations?

Later I'm meeting an old friend and we're going to a writing festival to see Chris Brookmyre talk, so I'm looking forward to that. It means I have to miss the gym tonight though so I'll need to make it up tomorrow.

Hope everyone is well x

TeaMakesItAllPossible · 16/04/2013 11:20

Dinks welcome back, obviously we've been very good whilst you were away.

Morning Tiger ... love a bit of Damian Rice if I'm working as it doesn't make me move around a lot. I love a literary festival. So I declare myself well jel. And new hair, my don't you look lovely Smile

I'm not sure what I'm doing today, having already been in to my DS4's nursery to review their action plan and communications after they got unsatisfactory in their OFSTED! Feel like I've done a day's work already with all the detail, feedback, emotion and information! I think a brief run and then on with HMRC activities

They don't do a park run near me. That's a shame as I love the idea.

Thanks Chiefs. Over the feeling weepy. Bollocks to all that. Just getting on with it. Did interview. Will hear by the end of the week. Have my "appointment" with BFF on Saturday but having just looked at the weekend's sporting activities I'm not sure how I'm going to fit it in. Shame I have to travel to see her. But another friend is back from Europe this weekend so have a coffee wine booked in with her. I'm sure we'll do some moaning about kids, running our own businesses, what happened to having it all, discuss how the hell you are meant to pair socks and not be left with 9 odd socks and then laugh at each other, discuss extreme workouts and I will feel much better.

Juggles three miles is fecking brilliant.

Randall You amazing goddess you. A pub crawl and a weight loss.

BsshBossh · 16/04/2013 12:53

Tea your meet ups with friends sound just the tickets. Make sure you book more of these in your diary so you can look forward to female company.

Dinky welcome back!

Juggles well done on your C25K. I started that a few months ago but couldn't keep up with it so I'm doing my own thing - adding a minute's run to each run I attempt. I am up to 10 minutes of consequtive running now. Will try and add another minute tomorrow. My aim is to get to 30 minutes non-stop running by the school summer holidays.

Tiger hope you're getting things accomplished today workwise.

I'm working now, from home, enjoying the peace and quiet too. Went to the gym this morning and am feeling a bit sore and tired. Fasting too today but I will see how I feel later on if I eat my 500 cals at dinner or if I can manage to plough on and go for a 36 hour fast.

Added the plank and dumbbell twist to my gym routine yesterday and boy am I feeling it in my tummy and waist. They are excellent exercises for the midriff.

Am logging again in MFP if anyone new wants to add me. I'm Bssh there.

DoubleMum · 16/04/2013 17:10

Back from hols, very nice but DD (8) got shingles which was pretty horrific, for her and for all of us sharing a cabin with her. So I can't say I feel particularly rested and I may have not given a damn about food a bit more than I was planning too. She also didn't go to kids' club at all so that put the gym out of the equation too, but I did do lots of walking.
Will be out all day tomorrow, and may not have time to weigh, plus the scales were playing silly buggers before I went, so back to it properly on Thursday. Hope you have all been choosing your hard. Will read back when I have a mo.

BsshBossh · 16/04/2013 18:22

Welcome back Double! Poor your DD. Hope she feels better soon and that you all manage to catch up on some rest.

DoubleMum · 16/04/2013 18:59

Have read back and now feel very inferior on the exercise front!!
I have back to back meetings in london tomorrow though and long train journeys so no exercise possible.
