Hi Shew

Welcome to the thread. I'm WillStillNeedTeaAndGin on MyMFP. I'm a 2:5er too. We don't seem to have a "thing" on this thread .. some intermittently fast, some exercise, some count calories. We mostly use MFP (but not all of us).

I tend to assume that a cup of tea (yorkshire of course) with skimmed milk is 7 calories. I don't account for my peppermint tea or any black coffee I have on a fast day because I tend to go for broke on fast day and do some exercise.

I work on the assumption is there is no milk and no sugar (and it is tea/coffee) it's free.

Lizzy I seem to loose weight for 8-14 days in a month and then feck all the rest of the time. Tis tough. But get your inches measured because I do tend to use them as a motivator in between weight losses. Don't worry too much about the weekend - my terrible couple of weeks has come at the cost of 1 lb up (though I was 3 lbs up on Sunday). So it seems though I still don't believe it that it might actually be ok in the end!

Will be fasting again Friday as we have visitors over for the weekend, and then I shall be officially back on IT with a view to getting to the final resting point when I might do a Bssh and buy some new clothes. My norks are still badly held as I haven't yet bra hunted.

BsshBossh · 04/04/2013 15:46

Tomorrow is weigh in day and I know I'll be recording a gain. I'm really looking forward to next week when DH returns to work and DD goes to gym camp 'cause as lovely as it's been, I am desperate to return to my good fasting/eating habits and lose these final 4 lbs.

Tea I've used Pinterest to get style inspiration and have created my own style board there (sorry, it's under my real name so can't share but will try and make a screen grab). Pinterest is really inspirational and clarifying my own style really helped me when I was sorting my clothes this week and making a list of what I need to buy.

BsshBossh · 04/04/2013 16:33

Tea I've made a screengrab of my style inspiration page on Pinterest on my profile page. Sorry it's a bit small - MN wouldn't let me resize it larger.

BambieO · 04/04/2013 17:43

Great board bssh I love the jeans. I like that combo of smart/casual/on trend. I bet you look fabulous :)

RandallPinkFloyd · 04/04/2013 17:53

Hi juggles welcome aboard!

Like tea said, we don't really have a thing as such, just a bunch of chubbies getting less chubby in whatever way we can!

I haven't done any exercise at all yet (apart from a disastrous attempt at shredding) just calorie counting. I try to be good most days but as long as I'm under for the week I'm happy.

It's working great for me so far but still a long way to go sadly, I was a proper bloater Blush

Anyway, I'm Randall Floyd on MFP so feel free to add me, and good luck!

Bambie I've missed you on MFP somehow so I'll add you when I get on the (not even slightly stealthy boast) iPad later.

Lizzylou · 04/04/2013 19:44

Evening all and welcome Juggles ( I am LizzylouM on MFP, please add me if you want to, though ignore my diary today!!!).

I have lost the elusive lb to get down to a stone, not quite the 2 stone I wanted before tomorrows big birthday, but hey ho! I am fitter and more toned and feeling very good about leaving my 30s.

HOnest. I am. Really Wink

Had a lovely day, bit of a party at work with colleagues, have been called slinky and classy today Shock Neither is true, but I think people get a bit worried around women of a certain age!

Packing for our weekend away and drinking wine!

Lizzylou · 04/04/2013 19:50

Bssh, LOVE your pinterest board. How exciting dressing for your new shape and size. You are such an inspiration Smile

BambieO · 04/04/2013 20:03

Great stuff Randall :) I look forward to the request

BambieO · 04/04/2013 20:03

Lizzy- you have done incredibly well and I hope you have a fabulous birthday

BsshBossh · 04/04/2013 20:20

Well done Lizzy. My 40s are turning out to be my favourite decade so far!

LillethTheCat · 04/04/2013 20:34

Right so tomorrow is weigh in day. Ive had a good day today and am under my cals by 744 Shock which makes me 588 under for the week. So my prediction for weigh in tomorrow is 11st 6.4 Im actually excited. Though I have upped my exercise so I may be out as I may have gained due to building muscle a bit. Will measure myself tomorrow too, where do I measure? Im thinking where my belly button is? Is that right?

Hi Shew

Have a great birthday Lizzy and enjoy the couple of days off calorie counting. Wine

My name on MFP is the same on here to keep it simple if anyone wants to add me feel free.

TeaMakesItAllPossible · 04/04/2013 20:48

Happy Birthday Lizzy. And a stone. That is brilliant. May your 40s be fun, fulfilling and fabulous . I shall raise a glass to you tomorrow nightGrin

Bssh I love the shapes and tones. You have a very subtle and classy taste. I didn't know Pinterest could do this. I think I might be on there next week when the kids are back at school. I particularly like the tops. Lovely.

Randall I was very close to writing a similar description so you made me laugh (out loud).

I am a hungry caterpillar - the Saturday version today. But as tomorrow is a fast day I shall have one nice green leaf and grump at the boys if they bicker loudly instead of doing their homework

RandallPinkFloyd · 04/04/2013 20:59

Bloody well done Lizzy, I'd bet a fair amount that you really are looking "slinky and classy". All that work you're doing you must be looking fab. Have a lovely birthday.

Loving the hungry caterpillar analogy, very apt! Grin

BsshBossh · 04/04/2013 21:20

Lilleth I always measure around my belly button. Good luck on your weigh in. Mine is tomorrow too (my official one that is) but due to a couple of sneaky, ad hoc weigh ins this week, I'm not holding my breath! Especially as we went to Wahaca today (gut busting Mexican food) and I'm having pizza and chips tomorrow Shock. I'll be doing a Randall next week and cutting back big time Grin.

RandallPinkFloyd · 04/04/2013 21:39
Grin
BsshBossh · 05/04/2013 11:06

Have maintained this week. Happy with that!

LillethTheCat · 05/04/2013 12:04

Well I was less than what I thought I was going to be. Im now 11st 5.4 Grin I measured myself and was 37 inches.

Now tomorrow I dont know what to do. We are going away to visit family. tomorrow lunch MIL has offered to have the DCs while me and DH pop in town. We will be having lunch out. Tomorrow night we are staying at my parents and once DD2 is in bed we will be going out for a meal (just me and DH, we're not leaving DD2 in bed alone). I wont have chance to exercise apart from half an hour or so walking in town tomorrow afternoon. So with no exercise and 2 meals out (one of which will involve a bit of alcohol), should I still try to stick as low as I can or should I have a day off and not even think about calorie consumption? WWYD? I do plan to have a really good week though.

Bssh at least its not a gain Grin

BsshBossh · 05/04/2013 12:14

Lilleth my entire Easter has been pretty much like your planned weekend. We've eaten out several times - Japanese, Mexican, Italian plus DH loves cooking and doesn't hold back on the olive oils and nice breads. I've maintained this week because I've thrown in several mini fasts/skipping meals. Example was yesterday when we had a blowout lunch at Wahaca with desserts so I simply skipped dinner (was too stuffed to eat it anyway) and I've been skipping breakfast most days too.

TeaMakesItAllPossible · 05/04/2013 13:21

Well done Lilleth and Bssh

And what a lovely dilemma to have Lilleth I'd probably compromise with a nice salad - no dressing - at one and a lovely unrestricted at the other. Enjoy the day Smile

RandallPinkFloyd · 05/04/2013 19:48

Well done Bssh, just shows you know you're limits now and how to keep within them without depriving yourself. You're a pro!

Lilleth I'd probably do the same as Tea, maybe stick to as light a lunch as you can and then let lose in the evening. But if you'd rather not just record as best as you can and have a couple of fast days afterwards to make up for it. It's the weekly average that matters really. Sounds lovely though, well jel Envy

BsshBossh · 05/04/2013 20:19

Earlier today I very nicely suggested to DD that I help her finish off her Easter Eggs. She's 4 yo and a sweet little girl who eagerly said "Yes, lets eat them together Mummy!"

I am an evil mother who, during TOM, sees no problem in taking advantage of innocents.

She's in bed now, most likely dreaming sweet dreams of Gracie and Lady GooGoo moshi monsters while I am chomping my way through double my weight in Dairy Milk.

I'm only like this the first day or two of each TOM but why? Do you go mad overeating rubbish during TOM?

kalidanger · 05/04/2013 21:10

Hi! Lost you all for a sec there. Happy birthday Lizzy I probably mentioned my looming 40th is my goal too. I used to be 24, you know

Had a cold this last week. A hungry hungry cold, plus work and life crap and been over everyday blah. Not swam since Thursday last and just generally feel like I've list my motivation but I can't swim when I can't breathe through my nose, right? Or is that a bullshit excuse? Sad

DarklydreamingofDamon · 06/04/2013 18:13

Happy Birthday Lizzie! - sorry I'm a bit late.

Manic with work this week so a bit up and down food and exercise-wise. Still got this rotten cold but am going to try going for a run tomorrow as I haven't been for well over a week and I can feel my clothes getting tighter again - sigh. Lost my mojo a bit at the mo. Hoping this weather warms up a bit then at least could get out in the garden and burn some fat off!

Well done to all the losers - you're all doing so very well xx

TeaMakesItAllPossible · 07/04/2013 18:29

I can't stop eating. I ran 7 miles yesterday - miscalculation with a map scale again - and today I have eaten nothing but shite! Chocolate, cake, pastries, pie, puddings and wine. Not one veg or piece of protein has passed my lips. I am a woman out of control! Help Hmm

BsshBossh · 07/04/2013 18:52

Don't worry Tea, you can fast tomorrow. The feast / famine cycle will keep your metabolism strong :)
