I am a nightmare bread monster!!! I love it but trying hard at the moment. Have you tried the Weight Watchers bread at all? It is 0.5 point a slice and not too bad.

popsycal · 19/01/2004 20:14

apparently MrPopsycal wants to join this thread.......starting next week....
what does he need to do!!!
i don't think I can bear him being amumsnetter so he may have to do it through me!!1

Hulababy · 19/01/2004 20:16

I keep DH up to speed through this too.

Weigh in day in Thursday morning - after wee, before breakfast!

Is he just going to watch what he eats or follow anything specific. Dh and I are doing WW points - I have a database with all the point values on.

Beccarollover · 19/01/2004 20:17

popsy if he wants to do it either through you or in his own right (i wouldnt !!!!!! ) - email me with starting weight and weigh in every thursday - i send regular motivational emails (inane ramblings more like) and compile everyones weightloss onto a chart - awards are given for each half stone lost. Weight Loss announcements take place every Thursday evening

can you send me the database hulababy!!
that would really help him - he is mr procrastinator and he is the one who put on weight when i was preg then kept it on....

Hulababy · 19/01/2004 20:19

What version of Access do you have Popsy?

Hulababy · 19/01/2004 20:20

Also I need to know his rough starting wight to tell you how many points he gets a day.
If 14-16 stone then he gets 30
If 12-14 he gets 28
If 16-18 he gets 32

popsycal · 19/01/2004 20:22

oh -dont have access anymore - dh 'acquired' an office cd which messed upi the pc so dont have access or excel atm
have 'works' though - yes i know....
also he is in the 12-14 weight bracket

Hulababy · 19/01/2004 20:23

I will convert it to a Works database or spreadsheet then but you'll have to giveme a little bit of time. Will do it tonight though and e-mail it. Do you have broadband or do you want it zipped for e-mailing?

Hulababy · 19/01/2004 20:44

I now have it as a Works database. I did it on Works 2000 is that okay? I can convert it downwards I think if necessary. I did 2 different databases - one has all the food values on, the other has the bonus points on - you get bonus points for every 15 minutes of exercise done.

You can save no more than 4 points a day for up to one week. For example I save some for weekend drink.

You should use a certain number of points each day on dairy of about 1 pint of milk. Skimmed is 2 points, Semi is 4 points and full is more.

Lisa78 · 19/01/2004 21:53

they were a reward for services above and beyond the call of duty emmatmg, and therefore have no calories
This is the law

emmatmg · 19/01/2004 21:56

Hey...I like that......who or what can I save next?

marthamoo · 19/01/2004 22:28

Can I join? In need of a big dose of willpower as after a good week (1st weigh in coming up on Wednesday) I went slightly nuts after dinner tonight and ate....

half a Dairy Milk and a Curly Wurly (the last things in the kids' damn Christmas selection boxes)

4 cheesy breadsticks

5 segments of chocolate orange.

I also have af at the moment - can I blame that?

I am really down about my weight at the moment - I have never been this heavy (apart from when pregnant) and loads of my clothes are too tight

I am...deep breath...11 stone 8 (5 foot 6) and I would like to be 9 and a half so have a loooong way to go. Words of encouragement needed please!

Lisa78 · 19/01/2004 22:30

welcome marthamoo
emmatmg, you can save me from myself!

Beccarollover · 19/01/2004 22:56

marthamoo - email me on [email protected] with your MN nickname and started weight - we weigh in on a thursday and have lots of encouraging words and rewards for you :D

I have not only fell off the wagon but rolled under the wheels at the moment. Just come back from a loveley meal out, lots of wine, 3 courses, ice cream and chocolate Should I go for a run around the block now or will tomorrow morning do? Struggling to walk in a straight line at the moment - very unlike me!

Br - can I just say that I think you are a hero and don't let anyone tell you any different.

Must go, am a bit too drunk, not used to it anymore and dh will be home soon. Goodnight.

Demented · 20/01/2004 18:38

I've managed to slot in an extra exercise class, but I am wondering whether that will be enough to counter Sunday's (and Monday's as there was leftover pudding) excesses.

THE SCALES WILL NOT LIE ON THURSDAY!!!!!! Arrrrrrrgh!

Beccarollover · 20/01/2004 18:40

Mingle - thank you - thats very kind I cant deal with these compliments im getting i feel they are very undeserved but thank you for saying
