Oh I think I am a member there 2. Havent looked there for ages.

Hulababy · 20/01/2004 20:47

I found out about MN through a different site - Raising Kids. Some one mentioned it there and the others all jumped on her! So thought I'd check it out; about a year ago and now hooked. Never use RK now. On BW just find some bits of the discussions so annoying - too much argueing!

codswallop · 20/01/2004 20:51

I ma a Mn only gal.

cant find out what the fit club diet actually is.... have looked in itv site and no good.

have My flab watch meeting tomorrow.

Had an interesting conundrum today had a samll m and s veg and butter thing you bung in the m - wave today and it said 4 pts. Thought even WITH butter thats not 4 pts for veg alone, told bf and she said htta altho Ww dont count veg as calories they DO have them but as no fat well minus the butter) they were no ww points.

have had that branflakes, banana cherries nad some stir fry veg

VERY good gal

Hulababy · 20/01/2004 20:54

On WW most veg has no points (except peas, sweetcorn, potatoes...).

melsy · 20/01/2004 20:54

r u typing real fast Coddy LOL

Hulababy · 20/01/2004 20:56

Sounds like you have had a good day CD Goo luck tomorrow!

Watching fit club on and off too tonight. They do lots of exercise I think, not sure on diet though. They all seem to be losing a lot tonight.

Demented · 20/01/2004 23:26

Did you have those all on the one plate, Coddy?!?!???

Off to send you a mail BR.

Hulababy · 21/01/2004 13:53

Think we should ban today's chat thread. Lots of talk of cakes Not fair!!!

codswallop · 21/01/2004 14:40

ditto - lets talk steamed veg, m mmm

marthamoo · 21/01/2004 16:12

I did my first weigh in today.....

I lost 3 pounds! I lost 3 pounds! I lost 3 pounds!

Don't post on BW anymore because it is like Shapers nougat fake chocolate bar compared to yummylicious Cabbury's Creme egg (which would be MN obviously).

Oh I wish I could stop thinking about food.

Hulababy · 21/01/2004 17:24

Well done marthamoo!!!

Doing dinner now. Making pasta with roasted vegetables (onion, peppers, courgette, cherry tomatoes, garlic, corn), and will serve with a tomamato pasta sauce (from a bottle, not home made ). Nice and healthy and low in points - yeah!

fio2 · 21/01/2004 17:58

marthamoo well done and hope to see you in the bar tonight for one of your famous flounces

I am sticking to it but my scales are rubbish and I have stopped going to ww because I didnt attend meetings. Shall I go to boots to get weighed, would that be more accurate?

Hulababy · 21/01/2004 17:59

Possibly fio. TBH, so long as you get weighed wearing roughly the same clothes and with the same scales in the sme position you should still get a reasonably accurate weight loss, even if the actual weight is a bit out.

codswallop · 21/01/2004 18:47

what is BW Martha?

Re weighing, the best thing you can get is to get electronic scales that dont wobble up and down when you lean forward - you can get tem in 0.5 intervals

I am waiting for dh so I can skulk off to WW

codswallop · 21/01/2004 18:51

Oh super well done BTW

Have you e mailed BR?

marthamoo · 21/01/2004 18:55

Babyworld, Coddy - a site I used to frequent before discovering MN.

I'd love to pop in the bar tonight but dh is getting exceedingly flouncy himself about his PC so I may not be able to

You can pick up a set of scales pretty cheaply in Argos, fio, - better for the positive mental attitude as you can weigh yourself starkers and pre-breakfast, which you can't do in Boots without being arrested.

marthamoo · 21/01/2004 18:57

What's Becca doing with the emails? Is she compiling bar charts so she can show which MNer is a skinny sex kitten and which is a lardy thunder thighs? Don't want everyone to see me fail miserably...

Hulababy · 21/01/2004 19:02

We got digital scales from ASDA for £11. They weigh in kilos or stones. On the stones, it weighs up to a quarter of a pound so quite accurate.

Beccarollover · 21/01/2004 19:11

harman - you NEED to revel all tomorrow to succeed at dieting - if you dont you will hide away and comfort eat

Dont worry about it - its only a week!! If you do put on this week then be determined next week you will be fine - what you dont want to do is think "Oh B***ks to dieting" and binge eat for a few weeks until you decide you really do want to lose weight.

Motivation - do you have any slightly too small clothes in your wardrobe?? There is nothing worse than jeans that dig in, shirts too tight, tops that reveal belly and back flab - go and squeeze them on and think of how FABULOUS it will feel to just pull them on without a thought

YOU CAN DO IT

OP posts:
Beccarollover · 21/01/2004 19:11

god hark at me and my patronising tone - didnt mean it to sound like that

OP posts:
Beccarollover · 21/01/2004 19:16

marthamoo have you joined the chart? I dont think you have?

Do you want to send your details?

OP posts:
fio2 · 21/01/2004 20:01

marthamoo, how do you know about the boots incident?

melsy · 21/01/2004 21:50

I cant believe how quickly weigh in day has come about again. Really look forward to your emails Becca.

Have been VERY good since sat blow out, so hoepfully I have gone down again. My 10% goal trousers are nearly fitting only another inch to loose around the belly!!!

Good luck everyone for tommorow.
