All welcome :) losing weight and being healthy through the power of motivation (particularly on Mondays)

Hi Chocflump. Don't worry we're lovely. We are here for support and the odd kick up the bum.

We've had some successes too. One of us has hit target and has a healthy bmi now. One has fitted into her pre pregnancy clothes and one has starred in her work video.

I, however, take things more slowly but I am going in the right direction and have lost nearly 2 stone.

Happy birthday and well done for joining. Thanks

Hello Filibear. Good to see you too.

We have all sorts of strategies and advice. We all seem to be doing it a different way. The basics are move more, eat less calories. Loads are using My Fitness Pal to help track things.

TheOneWithTheHair · 23/04/2013 21:21

Actually I'm crap at tracking and advice but I'll be your biggest cheer leader. Grin

The rest can help with the other stuff.

StealthOfficialCrispTester · 23/04/2013 21:38

Morning everyone

hello to fillibear and choco

kato love the nsv on the megafit class (which sounds like very hard work btw!)

Scales have not shifted. I'm still reading 2 lbs heavier Confused . That's been 5 days of this reading now so I'm starting to think it must be true. Can't work it out though, I've not had one single gain in nearly a year and then suddenly 2lbs in one week. May not have been mega strict on the eating but not enough for such a gain I don't think.....trying to put it down to the weights and strength work I've started

Yay. Well done eighty!

reastie one blip in a whole year is really nothing to worry about. I lost the same 1lb for about 3 months. Just keep an extra eye on it as it's unusual for you.

KatoPotato · 24/04/2013 10:35

Nsv! DS doesn't like crashing into mummy's bum anymore, it's too hard now. Makes 20kg squats worth it now!

Kato I love that! Grin

Right you skeptical lot. A great, big raspberry coming your way. Dh and I just ran round the park. I hated every sodding minute of it but at least I did it. We're going to try to fit it in twice a week.

eighty you have gone up 100fold in my estimation. I don't know how you kept going on your own.

InMySpareTime · 24/04/2013 12:39

Hair, I saw you from my window, wondered where you were off to.
Well done on the run anywaySmile.
I've spent the morning working out postage rates for frames
I've had a lot of compliments on my weight loss this week though, now it's warm enough that I've emerged from my coatGrin.

TheOneWithTheHair · 24/04/2013 12:48

IMST don't lie. I know you spend your whole day watching my house. Grin

InMySpareTime · 24/04/2013 13:52

Yep, you got meGrin, I don't do any work or anythingHmm.
The book is going really well today, 500 words added this afternoon. It's quite a sad bit though, I might write a more cheery bit to balance it before stopping for the day.

I had to walk as well or I'd have died. Dh thanked me for going with him but tbh I whinged the whole way round. Blush It made me feel better!

I do now have a target to run a but further next time before I walk. Next time?!? Shock

Filibear we walked to the very quiet park where we saw two dog walkers the whole way round. There's no way I'd have done it in public.

Yay for cake resistance! Also hard, boiled eggs are great as a snack. They keep you going and are really low in calories.

Thanks for your nice comments on my gain. I'm refusing to log it on the ss though! Kato glad I'm not the only one to have this happen.

Saw my therapist today (yes Blush I have a therapist) and haven't seen her for about 6 or 7 weeks and she genuinely seemed to think I'd lost alot of weight in the past few weeks Grin . I haven't scales wise but maybe being in my old clothes hang better or fit better or something

kato how was DS at nursery?

fillibear well done on the pear. You can do this you're right, and I agree with eighty , once you start seeing results it really spurs you on to try harder and gives you such an incentive.

Hair well done on the job at last Wink

eighty well done on plank compliment Envy

Haven't exercised since Sunday Sad haven't had the chance as been too hectic. Must try harder tomorrow.
