Well done imst that is brilliant! And well done on nsv hair . hope swim goesok reastie

KatoPotato · 22/04/2013 10:43

IMST you ROCK! Serious congratulations, you've worked like a beast and managed consistent 2lb weeklies which is just pure inspiration, and totally cements the very basic 'move more eat less' that so so many scoff at!

Get thee to the pj emporium and treat yourself!

reastie It's totally your call, wouldn't at all blame you for giving it a swerve but you could umm... double stuff? See how you feel.

DS was fine this morning, and accepts he's going to nursery and Granny is taking him, going home to do dishes and have a coffee then... 'coming to get me!'

Thanks again for the support with everything guys, I've loved this thread, been more supportive than my RL rubbish friends!

reastie · 22/04/2013 10:49

IMST wow, that's fab. So you are now on target then?

Hair nearly there!

OK, re: swimming, this is probably TMI. I can't use a mooncup as I have a coil (seems to be conflicting stuff about whether I'm able to or not. Period is super heavy due to aforementioned coil. Since having DD I have been unable to use tampons Blush . No idea why but they won't go in place properly (maybe I'm just way too loose up there or maybe it's just it feels different since DD, I'm not sure, but I can't get on with them). I've tried so many times I've just given up so I have to use pads. I've only once managed to go swimming when I had AF and that was right at the end of the period with hardly any bleeding so just went and hoped it would be OK Confused .This is very dull and boring I know but explains why I'm Hmm and Confused about going.

reastie · 22/04/2013 10:51

kato x posted. Fingers crossed for this afternoon.

IMST what are you doing to tone up?

KatoPotato · 22/04/2013 10:56

reastie do you have a Mirena or a copper coil? I've got a Mirena and have had no bleed for 3 years... until last week when I was such an emotional wreck! (not sure if thew two are related!)

WRT to tampons, can you have an ummm, good clean out and even just pop a good wad of loo roll as a semi barrier?

Crikey, the things we discuss!

reastie · 22/04/2013 11:05

I have a copper one kato, the main side effect is heavy painful periods (lucky I am!). Erm, it's so heavy that when I got in the bath last night the whole bath water turned a mucky ish colour brown (lovely!). I'll see how heavy it is this afternoon. I'm delightful me aren't I?!

KatoPotato · 22/04/2013 11:09

It's your call reastie see how you feel! Ahhh we're just all human, my bum was too sore to go to spin yesterday Shock ouch!

TheOneWithTheHair · 22/04/2013 11:11

God reastie it sounds awful. :( I'd give it a miss if I were you. Then I'd go to the gp for a different type of contraceptive. Poor you.

reastie · 22/04/2013 11:21

kato I completely forgot to say, after laughing at you missing spin the other week for a spot on your bum THE NEXT DAY I got a huge one on my bum too when we went on holiday! That'll teach me to laugh at your very legit and good dodgy sounding but actually perfectly plausible spin excuse! Hair alas this is the last thing on the contraceptive list aside from DH getting the snip, otherwise I wouldn't bother with all of this inconvenience. It's the main reason why I got in such trouble with my iron levels late last year if you remember? The things we put up with Hmm

Oooo Tom Daley! Dd is in love with him. She has a good eye for a good body. She'd be so excited to meet him.

Maintain is good. It's always good because it's not going backwards. At least in my book.

reastie · 22/04/2013 12:41

eighty Grin to you feeling all teenagerish. Sounds like you had a lovely week end. I agree with hair re: maintain too. Re: mirena - I cannot handle hormones even in small doses so it's a no go. Honestly, I wouldn't put up with all this if it wasn't the only option! After I had it put in I couldn't exercise at all for months as I got dire cramps, so at least I don't get that now

StealthOfficialCrispTester · 22/04/2013 13:20

reastie, from what you've described, I'd give it a miss tbh. Not worth the stress for you. Do you have any friends who would take her for you (with you there as well of course, just not in the pool)

reastie · 22/04/2013 13:42

Thanks stealth I feel better now having someone agree with me Grin . It's at my gym pool and you have to be a member of the gym to go to the pool otherwise I'd ask someone else to take her. We'll just miss it I think.

KatoPotato · 22/04/2013 15:34

Nursery update! DS was little upset when they were setting off and when taking coat off, but was fine all day until she came to pick him up, he cried when he saw her again!

Feeling much better, but my appetite is still away so I'm making the most of it haha!

TheOneWithTheHair · 22/04/2013 18:19

Every cloud Kato! Grin

Glad it wasn't too traumatic today. :)

reastie · 22/04/2013 18:24

Yay Kato that's great news :)

Morning!

Thanks eighty I'm feeling much calmer today. Speaking of measurements, I found my first measurement chart from when I joined the gym in October 2011. Since then I've dropped 12inches from my waist - that's like a foot! and 13 from my hips/abdo!

TheOneWithTheHair · 23/04/2013 11:52

Well done you two!

I have no idea what my measurements are/were. Dh weighed again and he lost 1lb this week. He seems quietly pleased.

Got my George Forman yesterday so I'm doing wrap pizzas with sweet potato chips on it tonight. It should be interesting. :)

KatoPotato · 23/04/2013 11:57

Wrap pizzas on the GF sounds amazing, can you elaborate?

TheOneWithTheHair · 23/04/2013 12:24

I found it on Pinterest. Here is the link hopefully.

It looks really good.

Chocoflump · 23/04/2013 20:28

Hi guys! Can I join? Smile

KatoPotato · 23/04/2013 20:34

Hooray and welcome!

Most here weigh on a Monday, we have a spreadsheet that you are welcome to use or not use!

We like a good 'nsv' or no scales victory, and they always make me smile! Mine today was speaking to a visitor aboyt metafit classes and she llooked at me and said 'you'd have no problem!'

What's your goals and plans?

Chocoflump · 23/04/2013 20:48

My goal is to not look like a big fat blob anymore!! Today is my 25th birthday, and I've made a promise to myself this is the last birthday that I will feel like this! This time next year I will go out and celebrate my birthday looking good- NOT in size 20 clothes!

Basically I met DH and was a size 14- 3 pregnancies in 3 years ( one which sadly ended in a MC at 12 weeks) have taken their toll on my body. My youngest is 8 months old and I'm sat here in my maternity clothes still Blush

So from tomorro, I'm upping the exercise and cutting out the crap! Smile
