Well done Cinnamon!
I'm finding it intriguing how much of my eating is purely psychological. Most of the time I could not eat as long as I was thinking about something other than food.

Dizzydora71 · 10/03/2013 16:54

How do I add people from the phone app? It only gives me options to add from Facebook, phone contacts or by email address not by username Confused

DoubleMum · 11/03/2013 07:31

That's fabulous Dizzy!

BumBiscuits · 11/03/2013 09:37

Morning all. I'm on my 11th fast, but not at work, so we will see how I go.

Pinkglow · 11/03/2013 12:14

Morning everyone - and well done to all the losses.

I seem to be losing a pound every two weeks but I guess as I'm near goal this will happen. As long as its moving in the right direction and all that.

I am exercising loads more than I used to purely because I struggle to eat under 1200 but its paying off and I am defo toning up esp on my legs.

cinnamongreyhound - well done, my personal best for 5k is 34 minutes!

cinnamongreyhound · 11/03/2013 12:27

Go to add by email address flootshoot and you can add username there.

Dora that's brilliant! I love seeing your updates on MFP as they really motivate me :)

Justtheonemore · 11/03/2013 14:27

Hello Smile

I started using MFP a while ago now. I'm wondering if having 'friends' on there will shame help me stay on track?? Not sure exactly how it works as I'm all on my lonesome on there! My username is 5PairsOfHands. Feel free to add me Smile

I'm not exactly sure where to go next anyway. I'm trying to figure out a final target weight, something to aim for, but I'm just not sure?? Never thought I'd get this far, that's the problem.....

BambieO · 11/03/2013 14:29

Just added you :)

BambieO · 11/03/2013 14:33

Having friends on there (all mumsnet friends no one in RL as I want my dieting to go unnoticed haha) really helps me, everyone is so encouraging.

One even stopped me eating a Chinese I didn't really want or need so I was very glad!

Justtheonemore · 11/03/2013 14:41

Thank you! Hopefully it'll really help. Be nice to have support if I waiver Grin. In RL I'm too afraid of being a diet bore to talk about it!!

And I didn't know you could do status updates either, so you've already taught me something new Wink

Justtheonemore · 11/03/2013 14:44

BTW, is it odd that I do my meal plan in the morning?? I occasionally amend it throughout the day and I add any little extras that creep in, but on the whole I find it much easier to avoid eating little bits if I know what's coming up in a couple of hours.

Is this strange??

BambieO · 11/03/2013 15:02

No not at all that's what I do, I find it helps me stick to it :) I also add on my exercise so that it's counted therefore I have to do it!

I'm glad you got the invite, it really does help! I will be sure to spur you on :)

BambieO · 11/03/2013 15:04

I also prefer it, having friends on MFP saves bein the bore as we are all in the same boat. I find it great as well as if I have a loss I can tell you all and not anyone in RL so I still feel proud of myself but no one knows I'm on a sneaky diet mission!

Hopefully that way if someone notices I have lost weight it will be genuine and not because they know I'm trying and I keep banging on about it Grin no one has noticed yet haha

cinnamongreyhound · 11/03/2013 21:48

I agree, only dh new I was losing weight and It was nice to share with others without the judgement.

Feel free to add me newbies, a lot more active on MFP!!! Same name as on here!!! Well done to all those losing awesome job!!! Xxxx

WiseKneeHair · 13/03/2013 12:36

Hi everyone. Had a busy time at work, so not posted for a while. Also, I tend to post to MFP first.
Well done on the losses, you are all such a bunch of losersGrin
Welcome Justtheonemore I've sent you a friend request and can I say, I am absolutely lusting over those shoes in your profile pic! I also try to add my food at the start of the day. That way, I don't have lots of cLories left I wish or go unexpected over by the evening. Obviously, it is sometimes easier to do than others. I meal plan for the week, so know what my evening meal is going to be usually.
As I've posted on MFP, I'm still on a train to a conference. I'm very slightly nervous about the eating opportunities (too many) verses the exercising opportunities (too few) over the next three days. However, I've had great support on MFP and am confident-ish that I can limit the damage.
Have looked at the distance from train station to my hotel and reckon it's just over a mile. I reckon I can lug my suitcase that far and get some much needed exercise calories in.

BambieO · 14/03/2013 08:01

twinkle me and some friends are also signing up for the race for life! It's a great cause and great exercise - win win!

cinnamongreyhound · 14/03/2013 22:04

Have been very good and had my 5 a day the last two days, yay! Also had a killer track session with running club and burned 650 calories in an hour Shock

OP posts:
DoubleMum · 15/03/2013 07:41

Well done Cinnamon. I haven't paid sufficient attention to my 5 a day, it's hard trying to fit in all these different demands on my eating!
