Hi, I'm new to mfp, just starting out. I've sent a few friend requests, my name starts with Lucy (won't put the whole thing as it outs me!). Off to Tescos in a bit to stock up on good stuff. Yogurt with berries for brekkie I think.

Lalamumtoone · 17/08/2013 08:42

I am back of holiday and need to shift some weight! I've decided mfp is for me. Please add me to give me motivation! Cheekychops38. Good luck everyone!

What's a fitbit?!

jchocchip · 26/10/2013 15:55

I'm starting again, has no one posted since August??

Newrowsees · 28/10/2013 22:09

Hi jchochip! No this thread basically died after a while, I suppose because everyone does their chatting on MFP? How have you been getting on?

jchocchip · 29/10/2013 06:37

I'm trying to log every day again set my calories to maintenance for the moment and trying to pull a deficit. Need to get back into the mindset to log as I go along. Then I will set a proper target. Yesterday was bad with kfc for lunch as I was working away from the office and meeting went on late. Today it will be soup or the salad bar! Still looks too dark to go for a run... I just need a good kick to stay focused :(

AndiW1 · 29/10/2013 12:49

The thing I find with using MFP is I find myself lying to the app- as if it'll disapprove of my lack of willpower! Clearly need to change my entire attitude towards food. Hmm

Does anyone else find themselves doing this?

jchocchip · 29/10/2013 17:57

I try to be honest to the app but sometimes don't weigh things or lose track of just how much chocolate I've eaten!

jchocchip · 31/10/2013 07:37

Hmm yesterday I had an evening meal out sprung on me. It was scrummy, and good job I had been for a run snd a swim in the morning so not a complete disaster! Salad day today :)

Neitheronethingortheother · 07/11/2013 12:14

I'm going to try and use mfp also. Aiming to cut out the junk during the week and max my exercise. am sick of trying different diets.

duckyfuzz · 07/11/2013 12:18

ooh just got back into using mfp this week to get me back on 5:2 track - I'm being honest with it now, whereas before (like Andi) I'd lie to it Blush

apocketfulofposy · 13/01/2014 11:04

HI can i join you please?

I have just had a baby (baby number 5 actually!) i was 94 kg when i fell pregnant and she is 4 weeks now,im 91kg,i didnt really put any weight on when pregnant which is lucky really as i didnt try not to,i just tend not to eat as much when im pregnant as i dont feel like it.

ANyway, she is only 4 weeks old and im breastfeeding but i feel like im ready to do something about my weight,i am thinking, use mfp,go for a walk with the buggy every day for half an hour and use the exercise for 15 minutes every other morning,i know that sounds like not that much but i think its achievable for me at the moment and i dont want to do too much and get tired and give up,or affect my milk supply.

Any other breastfeeders trying mfp out there?
